Hi Jill and Welcome

At this time I shave pretty much everywhere.  Legs, arms, chest.  I've been doing it for about a year, maybe a little less.  No one has ever commented about it.

I, too, shave my body.  But for several years I've only had to shave every 2-3 months, thanks to HRT.  But boy, those first weeks and months were a mess.  Not a pretty sight.

Yes, I shave all over. Don't want a hairy body. Yuk!

Yup, that was one of my hints that I needed to start questioning! once I'd taken all the hair off with a depilatory cream I realised very quickly I just didn't want it to come back, because the cream doesn't work with small stubble I have started to shave - pretty much alternating between legs/arms, and chest (I get very visible and ingrown hairs) though it was only this week I took the plunge and started shaving there too - thankfully the supermarket closest to me does their own version of the gilette type multi-blade for a fraction of the cost as I go through blades quickly.

I shave everything but my scalp. Since hrt I’ve noticed many areas are coming back less and less finally! Torso and upper legs I can get away with just about every other week now. But below the knee it’s still 2x a week. Arms are once a week and pits every day. Heck my face is down to every other day and almost no stubble at all anymore. God I love laser.

Before transition i did my legs and pits. I got comments rarely but it was just my buddies being funny. Nothing mean.

Of course I shave my legs. I also shave under my arms. I don’t have much to shave outside of that because I never developed much body hair .

I've always been sparse in the body hair area and since estrogen its virtually nil.  I run a razor across my legs every few months to get a couple stray hairs.  But on the other hand, my BIL also has little leg hair so its not untold for guys to have smooth legs.

I started shaving my legs about 2 1/2 years ago, and over the next six months added neck, shoulders, chest, arms and underarms. I've gone from needing to shave every week to 2.5-3 weeks now that I'm on HRT.

I can't stand being a hairy girl!

I’m shaving just about everything but I’ve been shaving off and on for many years. I’m good for 3 days on my legs, maybe more. Upper body I try to keep smooth often, can’t wait for laser there. I’m going to get laser and electrolysis on my face because it’s too much to keep up with. I’m only able to get away without every other day. Some places are ok to use depilatory cream and some places are very painful. Pits are shaved off and on depending on whether body odor is going to be an issue. The hair is much finer there than it was many years ago.

I have had full body  laser ? so I only shave my face . I do have some hair on my legs but it’s greay or white so it doesn’t show much, I will have to shave once spring gets here but with less hair it’s easier. It’s much nicer with very little hair.

I hadn't shaved anything but my face for over 22 years.  2 weeks ago I started shaving my chest and stomach.  It felt so nice to get that done.  Then 2 nights ago I started shaving my legs.  Now that was heaven.  It's sounds crazy but I have to do it every other day.  When summer comes around, I'll have to see if I'm willing to keep shaving my legs.  I enjoy running around in shorts so that'll be a big decision for me.

Susan R, If you like the shaved look nothing and no one can make you stop. There are many men who shave their legs. As I have said I have gotten not one comment, in over 12 years.

I keep myself neatly shaved as well.   This includes legs, arm pits, and torso.  I keep my arms closely trimmed since the hair there is light anyway.

I have just recently shaved my legs today and it feels oh so good.  But I have noticed that since being on hormones and then going for laser that the hair on my face does not grow like how it used to be and then on my arms, armpits, legs, down in the area does not really grow like how it used to be and stays very neat and clean

This.  I'm looking forward to the possibility (I know it's not a certainty) of growing a beard once I'm on T, but I want to keep shaving - minimally - my legs and my crotch.  Many of my male partners have shaved their body hair, it's definitely more accepted these days - and I like the look and feel of it!

I know around these parts, people would look at you more weirdly for commenting on someone else's (of either gender) shaved legs than they would for having shaved legs!

I did laser, and it slowed down the growth of my body hair, but I still need to shave every few days.  I highly recommend laser, since I've heard it's pretty common to barely need to shave at all afterwards, and the cost of slowing it down was realized really quickly on buying fewer of those freaking expensive razor blade refills. (Gilette Venus Extra Smooth - to me, the skin feel and lack of burn is so worth it with those.)

I’ve tried shaving and depilatory creams for legs and body and love it. However, I get incredibly bad ingrown hairs, no matter how much exfoliating I do in advance. I am starting to save for laser or electrolysis. In the meantime, I use a trimmer to keep it short.

Hi, I struggle with body hair myself. I hate being hairy and have tried everything that I've been able to afford just to present as feminine as I can. I've used razors, trimmers, wax strips, depilatory creams and plucking (yes plucking). A few of my problem areas have been back hair and chest stubble. I figured out a way to use a depilatory cream on my back by pouring it on a green garbage bag, then laying on the bag and rolling side to side making sure it doesn't get rubbed in too much (as it does burn). The stubble issue, usually next day for my chest and a couple of days for my back is a continuous challenge. Recently, I purchased a Silken Flash&Go Hair Removal device. There are a few makes and models out there mine just happens to be the Express version from this company. I've been using it for almost two months and have seen a difference, upper thighs front and back and chest (i think or just wishfull thinking). What I have noticed lately are some follicles on my hands and chest have become raised almost like pimples. I guess my question, since this is a thread about shaving and hair removal, has anybody used a device like this and do you think they work? If you have used one, did you experience the same type of results?  I'd appreciate any input and I apologize if I put us off topic on this thread.

Those bumps look like ingrown hair to me.  You have to get them out, otherwise they can lead to an infection.  A disinfected pin (with 70% alcohol - 70% is important to be bactericidal).  You also should rub the alcohol over the surfaces of your hand at which you are working.

That is all the advice I can give you, because I have no body hair.

Thanks for the tip, I did exfoliate and did the cleaning, I am also trying a tacrolimus ointment that I use for my atopic dermatitis. Hopefully it will settle it down. No body Hair? Lucky gurl

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
