I got a little problem.

Well this may not be about a surgery for transgender progression.  But it a surgery and I’m transgender.
I unfortunately felt a lump.
It’s down low and to my left.  Yes my left testicle has a lot of lumpiness around 2/3 of it and it’s quite tender.  The lumps feel quite significant but then again the testicles have shrunk down with hrt.
I know what this is because it happened to me in 2008 on the right side.  I’m hoping it’s the same thing and not worse.
I had surgery back then to basically remove all the structures and tubing from the testicle itself leaving just it behind.  Which I was mad about because I told him to take it.
Talk about a kick in the balls feeling.  Omg it sucked.
I had joked with the surgeon to put a zipper in so the pouch would at least be useful later once they remove everything.  Now it looks like that easy access is really needed again.
This will be the third surgery down there and I will be lucky if it’s not one big scar by the time they finish.
Though in a twisted way I hope they find enough wrong to just remove them.  I plan to anyways one day.
But honestly I am getting freaked out as the discomfort is becoming more painful.
Yes I have an appointment on the 27th.

If this is now a recurring condition, you might be lucky and get them to do a full orchiectomy for you.  You have two weeks before the appointment, which may be time to get with a therapist who can help push them to the Orchi  for you.  Good luck on all possibilities in this.

Yes certainly due to your past history this is the thing to do.  Push it along and be aggressive.  Its your body after all.

All my best.

Exactly, it could be a blessing in disguise. Just be sure to tell the surgeon that you may want bottom surgery later so they minimize the scarring. You're transitioning, you're out, it should be simple enough to get the orchi if you make it clear that it's what you want. It's not like you had plans for them anyway.

Best of luck sweetie!

Hugs!

Do you really think so?  I would love something positive to come from this.
it’s making me sick to my stomach tonight.  Like I was kicked there and it’s just now recovering.

Sure! You've got that you're transgender on record, you have a history of testicular problems and you want them gone. Other than the typical guy reaction of, "You... don't want... your BALLS?!?!" I can't imagine there would be a problem. Like Vicki said, you now have an established history. Removing them both is the safest option. The only complication I could possibly see is that surgeons sometimes get nervous about giving you surgeries too close together. However your bariatric (I probably butchered the spelling on that) was a while ago and this is medically necessary (we do not play games with suspicious testicle lumps). If you're flexible enough, kiss 'em goodbye.

Hugs!

Lol!.. Well best of luck, I hope the problem gets removed, and that you can get the orchie taken care of conveniently.

This might sound really odd, but I kinda want to ask the doctors if they'll let me keep mine preserved in a jar when I get my orchie. I think that would be really witchy and cool, and it would be an interesting conversation piece in my study (should I ever have one)...

Eewww.  Lol

im all set on internal body parts being saved.
But to each there own.  Maybe they will.  But they all tend to treat anything with blood in it like nuclear waste once it’s removed.

Shawna, I hope the surgery goes well, as does your recovery. If they can complete the orchie for you, that would be amazing.

Thank you Sara and WELCOME BACK!

I have not had my initial appointment yet so surgery is something only I have talked about.  I am basing it on my last occurrence so yes I am hoping that if they decide things need to come out that they take the who kit and caboodle.

There's actually a guy around here who does that as part of his standard practice when he does an orchidectomy. So, no, not that weird. I've been told the jars are nice.

In some states that is illegal, I don't know about yours.  Mine were sent to a lab that sliced them up to check for cancer which thankfully did not happen.  Sending them for that purpose helps insurance companies have a reason to pay the bills for the Op too.

Well for @ShawnaLeigh's case, sure. There are lumps. Those need to be addressed and tested for Bad Things. The guy in Farmington Hills does orchis on the weekends for $10K a pop. Jar included. I only know about him because he does the work with just informed consent which is unusual. Most doctors require the standard two gender therapist recommendation letters.

ShawnaLeigh I hope everything goes well for you.

Sorry that you've already had to endure surgery there without the results you'd wished for (orchi I mean).

Maybe third time is the charm?

Well it’s the evening before I go have this lump checked out.  I am feeling nervous about it but trying to not think about it or at least play it down as I’ve had something very similar a long while ago but that’s not working tonight for me.
Im afraid.  ??

ShawnaLeigh, I know it’s not much consolation but I care about you along with many others here and am hoping for a positive outcome for you...I’m hoping this will come and pass quickly.  It’s normal to be afraid but you are strong and can get through this.

Warmest Regards,

Susan R?

You’ve made it through this once and many other tough things, you can make it through this. Try not let your mind get stuck in the what if’s.

You’re in our thoughts. I hope you managed to get some rest. *hugs*

Thank you Ladies.  I had a pretty restless night.  I slept hard until midnight and then tossed and turned.  Clock watching the rest of the night.  You all have been there.  It sucks on a night right before a Monday. (Sigh)

Unfortunately my appointment is not until 4pm so I have all day to "ponder" my issue.

I suppose I wouldn't be so worried if it did not hurt and made a feeling of pain run from "down there" and up into my abdominal area where it makes me a bit nauseous.  This is not a constant feeling but often.  I can not recall if I had this slight pain the last time either so I fear it is more then my 2008 incident.

I will keep you all posted and thank you once again.

I definitely feel the love and support from you all.

It could also be related to your abdominal surgery. The pain I mean. It could also be pressing on something. When I had my vasectomy, I got a jolt that went from my crotch all the way to my left toe. I've had similar stuff happen during chiropractic adjustments. Nerves are weird. That or I'm just more "special" than I thought.

I didn't sleep well... well, to be fair I haven't slept well for about a week now. Between hot flashes, the weather changes and my hormones, I'm lucky to get 4-5 hours of good sleep a night. The point being that I know how much not being able to sleep messes you up.

Hopefully, you'll have a full day at work (full as in lots to do) to keep your mind from playing, "What if?" until the doctor can ... there's not a better way to say this ... feel you up. Hopefully he'll have you straightened out by the end of the week.

Hugs!

So I had my appointment this afternoon and the doctor was a female.  A very beautiful women.  Great.  I’m in pain but worried “it’s gonna move” when she gives me the exam.  I’m standing and she is kneeing.  (Oh come on!!!)

So she starts to “examine” me and she hit a nerve or something but it about sent me to the floor.  My left knee buckled and I felt pain in my lower back.  So I had zero “movement” down there at least.  However when that happened the look on her face said it all. She started listing my options.  One was to “keep it elevated” and supported in something tight.  How the heck do you keep that elevated?!?!?  Option two was to sever all the nerves down there so it will not hurt.  Which is when I stopped her and told her if anything gets cut it will be to have them both taken out.
So I have an ultrasound tomorrow and she wrote a referral to a specialist for a bilateral orchidectomy consult.  I have my two letters ready.
Im hoping things work out for the best.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."

I have read some of it, mostly in areas specifically targeted at the LGBTQ+ peoples.   You also have to take into account what and who is behind the words, not just the words themselves. Together that creates context, right? Let's take some examples, under the Department of Health & Human Services section:   "Radical actors inside and outside government are promoting harmful identity politics that replaces biological sex with subjective notions of “gender identity” and bases a person’s worth on his or her race, sex, or other identities. This destructive dogma, under the guise of “equity,” threatens American’s fundamental liberties as well as the health and well-being of children and adults alike."   or   "Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society. Unfortunately, family policies and programs under President Biden’s HHS are fraught with agenda items focusing on “LGBTQ+ equity,” subsidizing single-motherhood, disincentivizing work, and penalizing marriage. These policies should be repealed and replaced by policies that support the formation of stable, married, nuclear families."   From a wording perspective, who doesn't want to protect the health and well-being of Americans or think that families aren't good for America? But let's take a look at the author, Roger Severino. He's well-quoted to be against LGBTQ+ anything, has standard christian nationalist views, supports conversion therapy, etc.   So when he uses words like "threatens the health and well-being of children and adults alike" it's not about actual health, it's about enforcing cis-gendered ideology because he (and the rest of the Heritage Foundation) believe LGBTQ+ people and communities are harmful. Or when he invokes the family through the lens of, let's just say dog whistles including the "penalization of marriage" (how and where?!), he idealizes families involving marriage of a "biological male to a biological female" and associates LGBTQ+ family equity as something unhealthy.   Who are the radical actors? Who is telling people to be trans, gay, or queer in general? No one. The idea that there can be any sort of equity between LGBTQ+ people and "normal" cis people is abhorrent to the author, so the loaded language of radical/destructive/guise/threaten are used. Families that he believes are "good" are stable/well-ordered/healthy, specifically married/nuclear ones.   Start looking into intersectionality of oppression of non-privileged groups and how that affects the concept of the family and you will understand that these platitudes are thinly veiled wrappers for christian nationalist ideology.   What's wrong with equity for queer families, to allow them full rights as parents, who are bringing up smart and able children? Or single mothers who are working three jobs to get food on plates?

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.
