Are there others source of T other then the testicles?

After my appointment yesterday with my HRT doctor I was pondering this.  With my impending Orchi in April it is our plan to stop the T blockers entirely and monitor the E to see if that can be lowered.  I asked about getting prescribed Fin. after the fact to help with hair loss but she said it would not be necessary with the absence of the testicles.

So it got me thinking about what other sources of T there are in the body.  I know that cis women have natural sources of T, though very little, and they do not have the regular production source as men do.

I wondered if HRT would awaken whatever is in cis women after a while.

Yes I could google this and most likely will but thought I like to hear what others know or think.

Both males and females have both estrogen and testosterone in their bodies. Albeit women have generally less testosterone, and men have less estrogen. If a cis woman has a hysterectomy (removes the ovaries), she has to take estrogen supplements, since her body can no longer make the hormone. Some trans men also opt to keep their ovaries and remove the uterus, therefore still having a source of natural hormone production in the off-chance they cannot access T.

I can only assume that synthetic estrogen or testosterone aren't exclusively T or E, but a mixture of both T and E; the same as cis people. This is what I understand, and if you're wondering about the effects or sources where the sex hormones come from, I would ask a doctor.

if, like me, you have 0 T or almost then you can take P that can potentially help you gain some libido depending on your genetics. (or at least that's what I understood from my doctor)

Taking P for libido is something I have not heard of yet. Thank you.
I need some help in that department.  Lol

Your adrenal glands produce T. How much can depend on a lot of factors, but that's where T comes from in cis females.

Certain drugs (besides blockers) can mess with systemic T production. I'll be curious how my adrenal glands are responding after all this. I was on a tremendous dose of of Prednisone (steroid) for a very long time, but my T production came back anyway when I stopped taking the stuff. We'll find out of I need further tweaking in August. August being the next time I see my endocrinologist.

Hugs!

A bit late in updating, but I've had the draft of the official diagnosis and have (as yet unconfirmed) an endo consultation next month.   Next to arrive will be the supporting documentation for my new passport application for my correct gender.  This will then be my official ID for all the other updates - bank, tax, payroll etc.   It just feels good to to be proactive again rather than waiting for other people to move at a leisurely pace.

I like ELF brand cosmetics, I can pick them up at JC Penny.    I wear makeup everyday, but mostly just very light makeup.

Hi Mae Be, whenever it comes to makeup, there are so many different bands to choose from. Picking out the right makeup comes with trial and error, until you find one that works for you and blends well with your skin tone, some makeup products can leave the skin feeling oily. It's a good idea to look at the labels on the makeup product to know what the creators put in the makeup, just in case skin allergies. Once you found the makeup brand, you can add it to your shopping list, good luck

To be fair I’m pretty lost when it comes to makeup technique. I’ve watched videos, but I have no idea what works for or would help my features. So I just bungle along, hoping I don’t look terrible.
