I've kind of lurked for a bit and I don't really know what to say. TeeJay is technically my initials.

 

43 from Melbourne Australia. I've actually been seeing a gender counselor for sometime but still working through to make sure I really understand who I am. I'm very introverted and have issues with depression, anxiety and PTSD. Though I don't think I have it that bad.... anyway.

 

Tomorrow (6th of April) I was meant to have my first appointment to discuss HRT mostly for a getting more information point of view but thanks to everyone's new friend Rona that was cancelled  last week. Even though I shouldn't be taking it personally, it did really hurt and if I'm honest felt like a rejection.

Welcome TeeJay.  I am sorry your appointment had to be canceled with this difficulty our world is facing.  I remember how important those appointments were to me.  This journey essays to inevitably have it's difficulties but perhaps that helps us to understand our feelings and needs as we work through and look at our reactions.

Welcome to TP and OMGI so know how disappointing have an appointment cancelled can reek havoc on you.

I had surgery canceled I really needed for a painful medical issue but was also going to be a GSR too.

So bummed about that.

But it will happen as soon as possible and life one day will resume.  I hope in a better way then before as obviously we were not doing it right.

Welcome tp, have pretty much been in the same boat as you with the hrt. I was able to make an appointment but now I have to see if I can afford it without insurance because it was denied

Hi Teejay. Welcome aboard. I sympathize about the appointment cancellation. I was supposed to have already started HRT, but life is in a holding pattern for a while.

Nothing to add that hasnt already been said.

 

But glad you found us. We may not be able to give you any HRT. But we can keep you company while you wait for your day to arrive.

 

If its any consulation. I think all the appoiments across the globe regarding gender issues have been cancelled for now so your not alone.
