What do i do with my hair?

Recommended Posts

My hair takes hours to dry, weather air dry or in a towel. it also gets stupidly knotted in water, so bad i can barely get my fingers through it, and then it stays that way for days. drying with a blow dryer makes it frizzy, drying with a towel makes it frizzy. brushing it with anything rips out tons of hair, and also makes it frizzy. im getting sick and tired of it and just want to cut it all off

all of the stuff online telling me how to get rid of knots or frizz are things that cause my knots or frizz

If I use a hair dryer on my hair it can sometimes get a little frizzy on the bottom 3 inches on the sides. I use low heat when I have time.  If I use higher heat to get the job done faster, it can cause some frizziness. I found a product that eliminates this issue really well. Trust me, I’ve tried many other products and I swear by this one BUT it’s not cheap. Sadly, I have not found a substitute in its ability to control frizz and give it some body.

Heres the product I use MOROCCANOIL FRIZZ CONTROL 3.4 OZ

Heres where to buy it.

i dont have the money for products like that, i dont have a job and likely wont for at least a year. i get money due to being unfit to work but its $600 and i barely have enough for cheap stuff after stuff i need.

Yes @Elle-, I can understand your situation. I almost didn’t reply because imho, the cost is outrageous but it does work very well and that right there is the only reason I even mentioned it. Like you say...There are so many products that say they help with frizz but don’t.

For instance, I just tried another product John Freida Frizz Ease this last week which helped with the frizz a little but when it dried completely it held my hair far too well. It was thickest hairspray I had ever used and I do not use hairspray that much at all. I even tried using very little...same thing but less frizz control.  I’ll likely have it on the shelf a very long time.

Elle, Have you by chance talked to a hair salon about your needs?  Some have some amazing tricks to thin hair out a bit to reduce frizziness. I’m not talking about actual hair straightening or perms, I mean thinning or layering in a way to reduce this effect. They also might lead you to a product they sell for less than my suggestion or some other product entirely. I do realize with the covid lockdown, it may be awhile. But when they reopen, you might just call around first.

I use Nancy boy styling cream for my hair, otherwise I can't deal with the Mediterranean Fro.

Either that or use orangic coconut oil. You just have to be careful how much you use, cuz it's oil, and requires a good washing when rinsing.

Back when I had long hair, this was my go to. There is also a cream version which works really well, but that is just about preference. I didn't even like brushing my hair, let alone taking care of it, but using this stuff I never had to touch it. Warning: use too much and your hair will be a literal helmet. As long as you use in moderation, it is cheap and effective.

@Mx.Drago thank you for the link and info.

Update: my friend messaged me and asked whats up and i told her how my hair keeps pissing me off, and she offered to help me out, so we are going to meet up at some point to teach me to braid my hair! i understand the method, but i struggle to hold all my hair in 3 separate strands while doing it, and ive never been able to practice on someone elses hair thats at an easier angle. while i knew my friends are progressive i for some reason didnt expect any of them to help me out or anything like that.

Np! I use to suck braiding my hair by myself but found using small hair clips, to braid my hair to help cuz it's easy to grab while keeping the strands separate. Then half way you remove them cuz you don't need them past a point.? Never fear asking questions and looking for help, the answers can surprise you in the best ways.

@A. Dillon thank you for the info. do you think most hair products are like that? (use too much or too little and it screws stuff up, like giving you a bullet proof helmet lol)

so put the clips near the top,(by my scalp), to hold it? also just so i know i understand, by clips you mean what are called barrettes right? unless there are other even better clips that idk about, which would be awesome too

You could use barrettes, just be careful. If your hair is fine and/or curly, it can get caught and hair will get pulled. I like small claw clamps and double prong clips. Depending on the braid is were you put the clips along the hair line. French braid being closer to the scalp then a regular braid which could be clamped at most halfway down the hair length. ?Your collection of hair clips and hair ties will increase.

I bought a fan for my daughter as she has very long  and thick hair. In the winter, we put the fan near the heater so it would get her very warm air. however now she  just uses the fan without the heater. It also helps her get good body to her hair.

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
