Hair...loss on spiro?

Not sure if I’m in the right section or not, but it’s hair-relayed, so I’m hoping do.

 

Has anyone noticed hair loss after starting spiro? I’ve been on the spiro/estradiol train for almost a month and I’ve noticed an increase in hairs making an “exit” from my head area.
 

I have debilitating OCD, and sometimes I tend to use a wet wipe, well, almost every where. After a quick couple of passes on my head (OCD sucks, I assure you) I’ve noticed there are hairs in the wet wipe afterward. 
 

I don’t recall seeing this before I started HRT...and my OCD has been at its present level for 3 years.

This Wikipedia link explains the growth and life span of hair shafts which should help you see what is happening.  The Spiro does disrupt the hair growth phase for MALE textured hair on all your skin but your beard areas but that is a good thing since it will lead to the growth of female textured hair.  I would talk to your doctor though about your sterile wipes causing breakage of the hair strands before they have completed their growth cycles.

Ahh. So I’m losing one sort of hair and gaining another? I did not know about that. 
 

I guess I’ll just put this as item number one on my list of things I wish I’d known before I began. It would have saved me a bit of panic last night.

Yeah I’m hoping it’s as they suggested just swapping one type of hair for another.

 

But we’ll see.

I too have been losing a good amount of hair and have wondered if it could be linked to the Spiro. I like the thought of one type of hair being replaced by another. I so hope that is true. Has anyone had definitive experience with this and how it may have evolved?

I have noticed that too. I have been on blockers for about 18 months and have hair loss daily.
