So, I've been plateau-ing hardcore for my dieting for the last three months and it's kinda making me sad. I'm starting to think my portions are still too much...

so, I was wondering what your menu is for a whole day's worth of food while you diet, including how much food. :)

I've been calculating mine as around 1600 kcal every day but I have a feeling I'm just underestimating if I haven't lost weight for 3 months :c

My nutritionist and my trainer want me to eat 1500 a day, but I rarely can do that. I average about 1000 a day, counting every single thing I swallow, and swim hard for 90 minutes 5 days and train with weights and machines with the trainer 1 hour, twice a week. I have been losing 15 pounds a month, every month since February. It is a step function, with plateaus each month, but in the end, a very steady predictable rate of loss. My cardiologist and GP are ecstatic and have been watching my blood numbers &tc closely. It seems to be the right rate of loss and excerise for me. The nutritionist and the trainer tell me I would lose more if I ate more, but I just cannot seem to do it.

Exercise is important too. How much exercise do you do?

I've never really dieted.

I've been consistently jogging every other day. Each time, I try to push myself a bit harder. Right now, the reason why it's plateauing I think is because of the muscles being put on by rigorous jogging right now too. X-D

Ugh, I guess there's a lot of beaches around me... I should use it to good use huh... <_<

I seriously feel your pain. I've been trying to lose weight too. For me, the number on the scale doesn't always decrease, but I'm definitely losing fat. I don't know if this helps you, but I've been taking measurements as well as keeping track of my weight. Even though I've only lost maybe 5 pounds over the last 3 months, I dropped between 2 and 3 inches from my middle. If you are gaining muscle, which is important for keeping weight off, the scale might not be telling you the whole story.

My friend sent me this article. It looks like a pretty good one, definitely informative:

I know this is gonna sound weird coming from me, a very petite girl. But once upon a time I weight 40 lbs more. I'm still not where I want to be but I have some stuff, that I'm not sure if you know, my friend sees a nutritionist as well, so he keeps me from falling into bad habits.

Muscle does weigh more then fat, so you should use measurements rather then weight, because you can gain weight but still get thinner.

If you are sore, you should let your muscles rest a day at least, because if you are trying to build muscle/lose fat they need to heal. They get sore because you tear the muscle and when it repairs it becomes stronger with less fat in the cells. You could always work a different part of your body. So if you ran one day and your legs are sore, work your abs/arms the next and keep rotating. Unless your legs don't hurt, then you can run, you said you're trying to work yourself harder everytime so that's good! You at one point may need to start running a longer distance, unless that's what you meant with working harder. I know that every day my ability to finish my workout gets faster and faster. I also do many ab workouts. You can see where I'd have a four pack if I didn't have this icky layer of fat [it's almost gone though so yay! :D]

In order to build muscle you need lots of protein. I'm not saying go overboard, but if you ever worked out the craved meat after that's why.Your body needs the protein to make new muscle, or rather strengthen what you have.

ON the dieting end.

1600 cal is a good amount! If you don't eat enough, again you can't make new muscle. Are you eating a balanced diet? Are you drinking a lot of water? Water is good to help you lose weight and it is an appetite suppressant. I only ask because if the 1600 cal is all junk food, well that doesn't help you at all D:

I'm not exactly the best one to ask on the food spectrum, because I have been forced to watch what I eat, and eat more.

I hope I said something a little helpful.

Quinn.

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!
