Healthcare effects everyone in the USA(transgendered suffer from it too). It pains me to hear about people in the USA unable to help themselves because they can't afford healthcare. To me, that sounds like a crime. My stand on this is I really hope you guys get cheaper/free healthcare.

Good luck to the USA and enjoy this funny clip!

OMG, LOL!!! Serious ownage.

Our health care system is a mess down here. My school sponsored insurance isn't ridiculously expensive, but it doesn't cover much. It's better than nothing, I guess.

I watched the video. I really have no say but I don't understand how people think its not possible to have public -and- private medical...no one seemed to be listening or understanding what was being told to them.

I guess I'm just too canadian for my own good!

No thats not it, those people where just the typical stupid loud ignorant Americans with no culture that make the rest of us look bad.

Did you notice that the guy who is facing losing his house thinks that it is socialist to offer a loan to him to save his house that he would be repaying upon getting a job? These people embarrass me so much.

They can't seem to grasp that public health care would be a option but private would survive by being better for the people that can afford it. What is so wrong in making sure that everyone has healthcare? That jobless guy should be demanding it not fighting it. If he gets sick or breaks a bone right now he wouldn't even be admitted into a hospital for treatment right now. He would just be stuck outside bleeding to death while he waits in line for a chance to be seen in a free clinic that may or may not be equipped to help him. Oh yeah thats so much better then giving national health care. :banghead:

For that matter what the heck is wrong with socialism? God forbid we as country band together and work together for a better future for us all not just the rich elite.

welcome to the US, a world of the brightest intellectuals, and the most staggering idiots. it amazes me how so many things fought about can be discussed with one side not being able to conjure an actual argument. she didnt even say how obama is a cup cake. if she had actually given some sort of comparison on how many of his policies were reflections of the cup cake agenda, then i could be a bit more forgiving of this mindless scare tactic. i'm not even a huge supporter of anything political, but what i would like to see is a bit more reson and logic in the world of politics. its not gonna happen though <_<

i have no idea how things work in other countries, but here, it just seems like its all just a storm of mindlessly shooting down anything one is a bit scared of, blindly following what anyone tells you, intelligently gathering data and comparing it to trends in history, or just sticking to what you know to form a conclusion. and everything else in between. in other words, a very confusing mess of every political approach, and i left a good few things out.

amusing to hear that burn though :) politics arent my best discussion piece though, so thats about all i can say about that.

I think a lot of it has to do with xenophobia/racism towards our first black president. Bush actually apparently did a healthcare bill with the exact same senior counseling services that everyone is now calling "Death Panels." It's ridiculous. People are thinking of the worst possible scenario, and I'm pretty sure it's because Obama is, in many ways including his race, very different from other presidents we've had before. So rather than becoming a calm discussion about a pertinent issue, it becomes "What is this country turning into?! He's going to turn us into the USSR! He's going to take away my guns! He's going to kill my grandma! Socialist/cup cake/Tyrant!!!!" It's completely unfounded and makes them look more than a little paranoid/idiotic. The only thing is that they're a rather large portion of the country, so they don't really care what they look like.

Barney Frank = my new favorite politician.

Seriously... I don't understand how jobless people can argue against this!

Before I lost my job to giant corporate merger, my company provided me with FREE health insurance. Yes. Free through Kaiser who I'd been with my whole life.

Now that I'm unemployed? I'd be LUCKY to find something under $250 a month. And how the hell am I supposed to afford that? Especially since before I lost my job, I was providing my partner with health insurance too (at shockingly cheap prices) so now we'd have to find some way to factor in about $500 more into our budget. It just isn't happening.

The point is, if we had nationalized health care, the people who didn't lose their jobs could keep that awesome free health care through work and -I- could get on the 'socialist' plan and wouldn't find myself completely screwed over.

Sometimes I hate the people in my country. Sigh.

Yeah that didn't really make sense...lol..

Over in Canada we help people too. The thing is, the goverment makes money on doing things like that(lending money) so all it really does is help keep Canada wealthy as a whole. Theres so much tax we pay back from being lent that money.

They can't seem to grasp that public health care would be a option but private would survive by being better for the people that can afford it. What is so wrong in making sure that everyone has healthcare?

We(Canada) do have private healthcare over here too, and most places have the option pay upfront and get everything done now, or wait till the goverment funds you. It sorta sucks that private gets everything done faster but hey, at lest everyone gets help. More happy/healthy people more work being done, less people on welfare. Helping everyone only helps the country as a whole in my honest opinion. Again though, my opinion doesn't count for anything.

think a lot of it has to do with xenophobia/racism towards our first black president.

Sigh...

On the streets over here people use to rally againts bush - and very often(because we are canadian and we can, eh.). Now theres no one on the streets againts the US president.

The thing that annoys me the most is when people conjure up the name of the cup cake's to describe anything they disagree with, or find to be something they feel to be imposed upon them. Most of these people are incredibly ignorant, and most likely know very little about the German National Socialist party.

Certainly proposing a health care bill and having a national discussion on such issues is about the farthest thing from the what a real cup cake regime would have done.

The cup cake's didn't have a debate on anything. They didn't put anything up for congressional votes. The cup cake party didn't put its documents and plans up for public discussion and examination. Hitler never had town hall meetings with people to try to explain to them his reasoning for wanting to do what he did.

Sure he did. He was famous for his longwinded speeches about what he wanted to do and why. Incredibly charismatic. Insane, wrong, evil - but charismatic.

As sad as it may seem this woman was not a conservative. She is part of the Cult of Lyndon LaRouche. If you want to have a look into the liberal world they live in have a look at this link http://www.larouchepac.com/

I don't think that all the protests are due to racism, don't get me wrong I'm sure there are some. I feel that this is a knee jerk reaction by the left that if you don't agree with the president you are a racist. I'm a little touchy on this since someone got in my face and calling me a racist since i kind of went off on a rant about the government.

Racist? No I distrust all government.

An important point is that Government Health Care is NOT free. It is paid for by taxes. Which I would like to point out that Barney Frank wants to raise. That's $1 Trillion over the next 10 years, peaking at $245 Billion in 2019. I wouldn't call $1 Trillion "FREE."

Frank also deliberately attempted to mislead the audience by comparing Unemployment Insurance with Socialism, Unemployment Insurance is just that, Insurance. Premiums are paid, and benefits are paid out. If Unemployment Insurance is Socialism, all insurance is socialism.

I also found his anti-profit comments very interesting.

Disparaging the people that elected you to office isn't a very good policy in a politician. I expect this time next year a lot of the footage of politicians calling people names or otherwise making fun of them, will show up in ad campaigns by their opponents.

The government is not a bank. It has no obligation to loan people money for any reason. Taking your and my money and lending it to someone else, may not be socialist, but certainly isn't free market. If the government doesn't require repayment, it is socialism. The Cash for Clunkers program is socialism, I was forced to help someone else buy a new car.

Before you start calling things unfounded, note that Obama voted to restrict gun ownership in Illinois.

This, except for a few extremists, is not about race. It is about yet another huge government program that will cost trillions of dollars, causing taxes to go up.

You know your little scenario there is completely untrue. If you get sick or break your leg and show up at a hospital emergency room, they treat you. You do not end up stuck outside bleeding to death. I've severely cut myself, and just walked over to the emergency room, where they got my name and address and then sewed up the cut, no other questions asked. I wasn't refused service, forced to wait very long, or even asked if I could pay for the services.

Personally I think that Barney Frank is the rear end of a horse.

I don't know if you realize how crazy this lady is. She was saying that to Barney Frank when:

1. He's gay

2. He's Jewish

Both groups that the cup cake's sent to the gas chambers or ovens.

That women should be institutionalized for such stupidity. I don't find the clip funny at all. I think it's appalling.

It's not, really, for a lot of people. If it wasn't about race, if it was only about taxes and healthcare, then people wouldn't be getting so hysterical. Obama has not proposed death panels or turning the united states into a dictatorship, but so many people are convinced he has or he's secretly going to, and I think that it's because he's so different from our other presidents. Rational, reasonable discussion about healthcare is just fine, but the conspiracy theories some people are coming up with are absolutely bonkers.

You can't make this crap up..One woman told the NYT "The government better not mess with my Medicare"...there are a lot of crazies in these 50 states,,and the craziest one just resigned her governership,,,why? because she wanted to.......and the jerk in South Carolina won't resign his why..because that is all he's got for income

That lady is crazy and WRONG - but this clip was handed to me by my boyfriend who was born in the USA, he still found it funny. What I found funny about it is how he "owned" her and seemly put her in her place(although I doubt her brain processed what just happend). If I could I'd have all of those people locked up who wont allow public health care and only want to hog their private healthcare. As I said, I find I sick...Even though I have no say.

Just like all of the conspiracy theories about Bush? People claimed that Bush was going retain the Presidency after his second term, still claim that he was behind 9/11, claim just about everything about him, including that he is the Anti-Christ.

Yes Obama is different than every other President. His administration has taken over private corporations, forced banks to take "loans," then not allowed them to repay the "loans." He even has a Tsar to regulate the pay of employees of private companies.

Why is it that a white person disagreeing with a black man is automatically assumed to be racist?

Rational, reasonable discussion would be good. Barney Frank asking someone "On what planet do you spend most of your time?," and comparing them to a table. That certainly is rational and reasonable. No the woman, a member of LaRouche Youth Movement, certainly wasn't being rational, but is that any reason for Frank to go down to her level? Other Democratic politicians have also been less than rational, Pelosi is saying the whole movement is fake, amazing not one person came to that conclusion on their own. Boxer saying that they are all organized, certain members of the media calling them teabaggers, and racists. Are any of those people acting rational?

Zabrak, you want to lock up all the people "who wont allow public health care and only want to hog their private healthcare." Gee I'm against public health care and I don't have private health care to hog. So would you lock me up to?

Can't you just answer the question? I understand that you have no power and no meaning, but if you are going to express your opinion you could at least have the curtesy to answer questions about it.

Well said.    Although this so-called Project 2025 will not affect me directly in an immediate sense, it sends a signal to equivalent minded people and political parties around the world that it is okay to exclude minorities and indeed, to persecute them.   In my humble opinion, the far-right politicians know damn well that there is a very large cohort of less-than-intelligent people out there who are not capable of critical thinking and believe every skerrick of dog-whistling, fearmongering, "they're-out-there-to-get-you" rhetoric. Pander to their rural and village attitudes and you're on a winner!    Correcting them with logic and science won't work; they just double down and get louder with their petulance on full display.

Just waking up so I'm in my pajamas - blue/white madras shorts, a navy blue t-shirt and my sleep bra with sleep-rated breast forms.   Thank you @Susan R for telling us about your mastectomy bra and forms fitting experience before your BA surgery and how sleeping in the bra/forms helped with the dysphoria.    First, hearing about your courage to get fitted gave me the confidence and courage to go out in public.   And, second, finding sleep mastectomy bras and sleep-rated breast forms (I found a set on eBay for a good price) has been a tremendous boost to my feeling comfortable in my pajamas and nightgowns and tamping down my dysphoria and dysmorphia.

Germany has more castles than there are McDonald's in the United States. Yep, you heard that right. Germany is estimated to have 25,000 castles, and there are around 13,000 McDonald's locations in America.   In Washington state, there's a real-life law stating it's illegal to kill bigfoot and other sasquatch-like creatures.

DREAD f you’re anticipating something positive, you’re probably motivated to summon all your patience to wait for it—and sometimes for extended time periods. It may be counter-intuitive, yet in certain instances such waiting can itself be gratifying. Consider Carly Simon’s song “Anticipation,” the old Heinz ketchup ads, and—especially—recent research pointing in the opposite direction as regards awaiting something highly aversive. In this post I won’t be reviewing ketchup commercials, but I will be exploring some intriguing research on dread-infused anticipation.

So an update from me.   Had my endo appointment last night. Went very well and they are sending 3 months supply of estrogen (estradoil patches) and the anti-androgens whilst my Dr gets a shared care agreement sorted out. So happy, should start HRT tomorrow!! Cost for the 3 month supply is £70 total for me, so not too bad. Not told my parents about this yet, but them being in spain, not sure they need to know yet.   Can't wait to start, just got to think about where to put the patches now and wait for the changes...

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.
