Hello,

I am a student in my final year at Bournemouth Arts Institute, UK. I am writing my final research project on the politics of dress and gender in film and media, specifically transgender. I am interested in what influence, positive or negative, if any at films and media have on overall social attitude to people living transgendered lives. If anyone would be interested and has the time to contact me with any opinions or ideas they would be willing to share on the subject I would be very appreciative.

Hmm.... I don't have much to offer except for the fact that there is a brief joke at transsexual's expense in the movie Legally Blonde 2 that made the entire class I was watching it with burst out laughing. (There's a line of girly sorority girls all making calls to different girls, "Hi, Christy! It's Jessica!" "Hi, Madi! It's Amber!" etc. but the last one is a transwoman) I'm in highschool, BTW.
