The Summit Meeting

One day at Laura’s some six months or so ago

A group of moderators decided on a trip to go

A meeting of like minds from across the US not by Internet

The task to find a place to meet somewhere mid-continent

The group first started out as a meeting of five

But a toll was taken by the bustle of the hive

One of the group has taken a leave and has not returned

Then important issues that require another’s attention turned

The decision was made that the meeting take place

But now the logistics call for a different point in space

So now there are three and the location was shifted

Hours and hours on line through so many maps sifted

A location was found and again spirits were lifted

The GG3 Summit was on for the Gender Gifted

So Donna Jean, Elizabeth K and Sally each from their homes set out

On that appointed day to finally see, touch, hug, laugh, cry and shout

Their troubles were far from over and all of the journey’s were so long

There was rain and construction but for DJ things really went wrong

Only half way between the meeting and home

Car troubles struck and so now to the phone

A call to her wife to relay messages to us

A new plan rent a car or maybe take a bus

Her car was towed to a local garage for repairs and a car was rented

She continued on with her spirits not broken maybe just slightly dented

Elizabeth K arrived first and at the summit’s location

Was told Sally was the one who made the reservation

She returned to her car unable to get into the room

But this for our Lizzy could not cast a pall of gloom

She decided to leave a note for Sally to find a place with something to do

No need as Sally arrived and now what once was one now became two

We recognized each other with only a quick glance

Two people who met through a strange circumstance

We checked in and went to the room with our mountains of clothes in tow

We sat and we hugged we talked about feelings and let happy tears flow

We talked for hours it seemed just us two

The phone rang and the next thing you knew

DJ had arrived and now the excitement and glee

Where once there were two now there are three

There will soon be so much more to tell

As we three liven up this small hotel

We are as we were on the Internet

Three sisters who have finally met
