You will definately find this a very friendly board with a lot of great people to talk to. Sounds to me like you ladies could open up one heck of a racing garage if ya'll had a mind to do so.

We have a grandson that's now ih Afghandistan, he's a captain - soon to be a major in MI. His wife is also a Captain and they have a 5 month old baby girl. Yeah, we're not as young as we used to be ha ha- we have 5 great grandkids- the oldest is 14 and the youngest is 5 months.

So, have a great time and enjoy your coco and cookies with the girls.

Kewl! My project car is a 1971 Pontiac LeMans Sport with a 400 C.I.D. that I'm replacing with a Butler Performance 461 C.I.D. (stroked 400) that I intend to run occasionally at Road Atlanta. I also run a 2007 Pontiac Solstice in SCCA solo competition in the Atlanta Region.

What part of Ohio do you live in? I grew up in northcentral Ohio (Ashland County) but moved away after my freshman year at OSU. I also got into aviation, taking flying lessons out of McCullough Field in Cobb County. That was an awkward time as it was right in the middle of my transition.

I got a 1973 Plymouth Sebring Plus with a 440 police intercepter and a 4 speed pistol grip hurst transmission that just beggin to be restored in my garage.

Unfortunately I have no funds for that right now.

You got a 440 police interceptor? Jean, wow. You're my new best friend. Sometime don't let me forget to tell you about my best friend who's a retired police officer....

Anyway, welcome Leigh! I don't have the time or the knowledge to rebuild cars, but I have a cool truck. 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty with the 6.7L turbo diesel engine and the Cummins transmission, 4x4, with a 6-foot bed and the Mega-Cab. So friends and I can travel long road trips in style. I haul horses for my hobby (Civil War reenacting) and needed a big truck like that.

I'll actually be driving through (or around) Atlanta in January. I'm going down to Gainesville for some clinical work at the UF. Thought I'd stop and visit Stone Mountain and a few other places on my travels down to Florida.
