Ok yesterday my roommate and I decided to go to the local downtown area and explore some. Well there are two concert venues there (The Glass House and Fox Theater). My roomie is a music major and I'm tech theater. So we saw a few guys working on the outside the Glass House and we went up to them and spoke with owner. Well while we were giving him our contact info (we were looking for some type of theater job) the manager started talking about a show that night. The head-lining band was named In Flames. I love metal music BTW. So my roomie and I decided to go get tickets, but the manager said "Don't worry about it, I'll get you 'guys' in." So we got free admission to a sold out In Flames concert with ticket prices normally at $30.

Here is one the songs they played

It's only for the weak

Well with my hip problem I had to sit the whole time, but I was like 20 Feet from the stage and directly in front of me they had a 4 high bass amp tower and right above was an 11 speaker column. OMG!!!!!! that was a light show. One guy in the pit had a seizure at the start due to the strobe lights going off.

LOUD, PROUD, AND INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JANELLE!!

Sorry, but I wanted to be sure you could still hear!

Sounds like you had a great time.

Enjoy all of the extra activities but do remember the main reason for going to college - DRINKING LEARNING!

Love ya,

Sally

Mythbusters did a story on using sound as a weapon and the final verdict was a definate YES.

Are you still okay Janelle, do you hear any strange buzzing in your ears?

It sounds like you had a great time but as Sally said make sure you spend your time constructively drinking whoops I mean learning.

Sorry to disappoint you and Sally, but I am not a drinker. I am a gamer and the closest thing we get to alcohol is Mtn Dew....... speaking of which my dad wasn't thinking when he bought red plastic cups...........................

Ohh I don't suggest a dew bong, though mine was mixed.

Perhaps it would be different without mix. ;)

You have 3 floors of a dorm hall famous for LAN parties and D&D............ 97% of these people (including me) will never even go to a full college party.

Dewpong will be our closest thing.

I am not at all disappointed that you do not drink - I am glad and I will let you know that I do not drink either.

That was a variation on an old Nipsy Russell joke, "College is the fountain of knowledge where students go to drink."

Good for you. :D

Love ya,

Sally
