Genderconfused 16 Year Old Joins The Ranks

Yoyoyo, hey, y'all. I'm Troy, 16 year old born female, majorly confused about my gender, and I decided to sign up here to see whether I could get some help with figuring it all out. I feel a bit more "normal" already, seeing all of the other newbie's posts.

Here's what gets to me. I enjoy dressing in a male roll, but can also dress female. Some days I feel like a Troy, and some days I don't mind my birth name at all.

Depending on how I feel, I will either cringe or not care when my mom calls me her daughter.

For instance, today I dressed up in a girl's tee shirt and a pair of skinnier jeans that I painted flowers and stuff on so it looked pretty feminine. Another day, I was super intent on walking, talking and dressing like the guys, because on that day it just felt right.

I've been looking into all of the different terms, but I haven't yet found one I feel suits me. I have been experimenting with different ways of presenting, trying to see what feels good, but it all seems to shift around quite a bit.

How can I help myself to understand it all a bit better?

You are what you are. It comes together eventually, so just accept accept accept yurelf right now. Don't look for labels... see a gender therapist somewhere along the line - find out your options - it's really liberating!

Hi Troy

Welcome to the playground.

As for your gender confusion, give yourself some time, do some research, experiment a little (with clothing styles) and you'll find your answers soon enough. This really isn't something that you would want to rush into, take your time.

And if you have any questions or comments you would like to share we would love to hear them.

So Post, and don't worry we've all been where you are now.

Welcome, Troy!

Please step into the member's lounge and grab a slice of pepperoni pizza and some soda, or do you

prefer Monster? Whatever you want. Relax and enjoy.

This is a great place to meet people, have fun, learn about yourself and express yourself. Post in

the forum's, hang in chat, and be yourself. We don't judge anyone, and we keep this place safe.

We're glad you found us. Welcome to your new home.

Hey there Troy,

You have gotten good advice already, don't be in a hurry to decide and the only label that matters is human!

Sit down I see Carolyn Maria has brought some hot pizza for you, as soon as the others smell the pizza they'll know that we have a new member in the lounge.

Work with a gender therapist, read all of the forums and ask questions - that's how to find your place on the gender spectrum.

Welcome to the family.

Love ya,

Sally

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

I'm already seeing a therapist for anxiety and depression, and I just told her that I was confused about my gender earlier this week.

Her response was surprise, and she said perhaps we should meet more often.

I'm more of a lemonade person myself, but I'll certainly help myself to a slice of the pizza :)

I'll read the forums and stuff.

Nice to meet you!

Brings a big tray of ribs and burgers, she knows the others will be along soon and this might turn into a party. Unlocks the bar and turns on the taps (any soda or nonalcy beverage you wish). Welcome aboard, take your time figuring out what is right for you and how you wish to express yourself. By all means find a gender therapist in your area and start working with them to figure things out.

I understand, Troy! I'm the same exact way. I am happier dressing and acting as a boy, but sometimes I find it fun to be girly.

I'm confused, but like the others said, find a gender therapist! I know i am !!! :)

Welcome Troy!

I understand how you feel. I often feel happier identifying as a boy, and cringe when people refer to me as a girl. But some days I just feel indifferent to my gender. When your feelings about who and what you want to be shift, its hard to figure yourself out. Hopefully talking about this to your therapist will help, and maybe your therapist can also get you in contact with some more useful resources.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Isaac Asimov, Albert Einstein and Robert Kennedy, in that order.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

Congratulations Sam,   The common saying her once someone starts HRT is: “Enjoy the ride.”   Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
