Transitioning isn't as big an issue in my life right now as passing English class, and I was pointed here by a friend of mine who stumbled upon it several days ago. Don't worry about being a bit insane: as a fellow geek, I'll say it's a thing to feel proud of! If your are being called 'insane' just for being different or being yourself, take it as a compliment, because it is quite like a synonym to enlightened.

How can I get the text color to work?

Easiest way: select/highlight with your mouse the text you want to have colored, and then use the color drop-down thing. When you use it without any text highlighted, you are applying the color to an empty area (which is so pointless that the system just displays the [ color ] tags themselves), and then write out of the colored area. It sounds more complicated than it is, but you'll probably get used to it with a bit of practice Once you master it, you'll be able to get the most of it.
