Email From My Best Friend

So, my best friend and I have had a few errors of communication lately and I thought at one point she said she was creeped out by me being transgender. Tonight she sent me the following email:

Dear ***,

I'm sorry that you thought that being who you are creeped me out and I'm also sorry I wasn't able to have the oppurtunity to tell you earlier. I want to take this time to confess that it did bother me a bit at first, because I was caught completely off guard. Please remember that I can't ever understand what you're going through and I can't always help you, but I love you and don't want to see you getting hurt again. That means I hearby ban you from ever saying you should kill yourself. Forget that I told you to a million times Freshman year. I don't ever want to lose you, and right now I'm getting worried. I know that you don't like hearing this, but you need to talk to a doctor. I'm sorry if your previous ones only cared about money, but you really need to find someone. I know you want to wait until college, but I wonder if you'll make it. If you want to be a girl, you need to live. I know that lately I've been demanding space, but that's becuase of band, field hockey, and school taking away my me time. I need that, even though it means you can't get everything you need to say to me said. It will only be for a little while longer, then we can go back to normal, OK? I'll even help you out so you can become a girl. We can go to the mall then get some sushi once Field Hockey's over, how's that sound? Then you can telll me everything. Until then remember: It's ok to be yourself, It's ok to be yourself. Because you are you. Because you are you. (and yes, I see the smile on your face from reading that)

Love,

Your best friend ***

omg, that is a sweet letter... *hug*

Yeah...I had really close friends who were creeped out in the beginning too but eventually they noticed they didn't mean to do it and tell me that the truth is that they want me to be me too....

*hug* :)

That is so sweet!

Natalie, you have a very special friend there and I believe that you know that, after field hockey is over be sure to pay for her sushi - she has earned that.

She admits that she can never understand but then shows that she totally empathizes.

So wise for such a young girl.

Thinks are looking so much better now aren't they?

Love ya,

Sally

Hey Natalie,

That was a very well thought out response by your best friend.

It takes time for others to adjust to the reality of you having to

be honest about who truly you are.Give her that space, and you

will have the best friend a girl could ask for.And a shopping buddy.

Not understanding,is part of our journey. What you will get from

her is just as,if not more important,Acceptance. And She is right.

No more words of ending it all.You have so much to live and look

forward to.A lifetime of being who you are,a woman. Please get the

help she suggested.Let's see that pretty girl that is waiting to happen.

Soft Warm Hugs,

Angelique

Are you aware of the treasure a friend like this is? Maybe that's obvious, but I think it's worth pointing out, just for case.

Patience, patience, patience... I can't say it enough. When coming out, patience is the best virtue to have for any of us: most often it takes people a lot of time and effort to understand and accept us. If you are surprised about this, just think how long do we take, on average, to understand and accept ourselves. So your friend is doing quite a great job on the understanding & acceptation task. I know it may be hard, but you just need a bit of patience and things will most likely go fine ;)

Regards,

Ethain

I started feminizing HRT about 6-7 weeks ago. I began with what I called the beginner's patch. I immediately found myself wanting to level up to the next dose and did that this week (yay!). So far, I am enjoying the ride.   I've read everything I can find on this topic. For the HRT vets on here, what is reasonable to expect in terms of physical changes for someone starting in their 50s? I know "your mileage may vary." I guess I am curious if I stay on my current trajectory for six months, a year, multiple years, how pronounced will the physical changes be? Will I reach a point where it is totally obvious or will I land in a "middle zone" somewhere in which I could pass either way?   Thanks! Like I said I am enjoying the ride so far and always curious to know others' experiences. Not sure anyone else in my life will be excited about these moves I am making, but I have been over that in many places on here already so need to rehash... Love and blessings to all!   Easy

Being admitted into the hospital after a long ER visit. I started passing lots of blood and they are keeping me for observation.    Nurse came in to see about a condom catheter, that of course doesn't work on me. 🤣   She said, "I guess we will use incontinence supplies on you."

Yeah.  I think this is what it is about.  Since they are not transgender, nobody else could possibly be either.  I'm not sure that a cisgender person can understand being transgender.  But that hardly means that a transgender person's experience is not real - just because it is not theirs. Why is a transgendered person's experience not valid, while a cisgendered person's is?  Why should it be the cisgendered person that decides? Nobody is forcing a cis person to transition.  What I do for myself is my own business.

Decided to head for Lowes after work early and bought a new stove. Was in stock and put it back of my truck.Luckily a neighbor of mine whom does appliance repair did come to remove the connection and convert the stove to natural gas in the new one.Was set up for propane.Happy with it and the scrap metal guy came to pick up my old one.He was happy to get it,said he needed one more to make it a load in his trailer full of junk appliances

I've been thinking it is a matter of belief.  They simply do not believe someone can validly be transgender and should not be allowed to practice their beliefs, but should be forced to practice their belief, that is, that there is no such thing as transgender and it is all mental illness/sin/hormonal imbalance.

I am really kind of sick of everybody who is not transgender deciding on what we need and do not need in the way of procedures. They act like all of this is play acting, and we can just apply cosmetics to our entire body. It might be refreshing if someone asked us directly what services we need in order to transition. I could say more as I am frustrated, but I do not want to violate the TOS.

Good luck on selling your wife on the idea of a different car. This could be tougher than negotiating with a dealership.   My wife agreed to my taking profit out of the company to buy a used truck once we found out the 2014 F-250 I currently had with 267,244 miles on it was needing new torque converter solenoids and the DEF system is chocking up. We bought a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, Duramax 4X4, with 163,000 miles. LTZ Off Road package, power mirrors, chrome step boards, rear camera, exhaust brake, and air lift bags on the rear suspension. It belonged to a friend of mine who also owned a mobile training business.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
