Huzah, I got my letter to start my HRT earlier today. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and I go in this Tuesday for some blood work. Incredibly excited about that day. However the downside in a way is that I decided to be out to all immediate family before I started doing anything that might permanently alter my body. Currently that just leaves my dad left, luckily I already made plans to meet him for lunch this Monday. Going to be a fun few days, especially when I get Monday and Tuesday off from work thanks to Fall break for school.

Well today sure was an exciting day. I met my Dad for lunch and after a good meal I came out to him, he and my Mom both had the same reaction. Along the lines of they will always love me and they have my support, though they did not see anything in my childhood that would have hinted at this. I personally think there were plenty of signs and maybe they are just not willing to see them. After that I went into my doctor for some blood work, everything went great there. I got a nice surprise when I found out that he would write my prescriptions before going over the blood work, one of the good things about someone that has experience in this. He also believes that I already have some breast growth. I can see it in a way but always thought it was just my chest taking a long time to fill in.

As I typed this my day was on a bittersweet moment with my mom wanting me to store some sperm, I found out just now that she does not really care if they are genetically mine or not. So long as they call me Mom and her Grandma, she just wants grandkids to spoil and pay me back for what my Aunt did to me. Hype me up on sugar and caffeine and send me home. And by now I believe my prescriptions should be filled.

That was a grand letter, Honey.......

Congratulations and welcome to the club!

Don't worry, I got the same thing from my wife of 30 years..."You never showed any signs!".....

Well, heck....we don't wear a sing around our neck for the most part!....LOL

Lauren, Sweetheart...I'm happy for you...it's a defining moment in our lives when this happens...like the keys to a new car!....

Tell us how you feel after the first dose......OK?

LOVE & HUGGS!

That Is Wonderful News!!!!!

I love it when we get a psychican who knows this is who we are.And doesn't play the waiting

game. But instead gives us the peace in our souls that we get to follow our dreams.

Thanks all, I recently took my first dose. On the one hand I know there is no actual change, but on the other hand it sure does feel great. Almost ran a red light driving to the pharmacy, I was a little over excited. Been a while since I was that excited. Now I need to start a photo log and see how much I actually change. Will keep you all updated.

Well wasn't that first dose a real feeling of movement - knowing that the journey has really begun and started to build speed.

Enjoy this time, it is the time of our lives that is like no other.

We started out of balance, mind and body at odds with each other and now the scale slowly moves toward its equilibrium point.

We have the opportunity to experience things in life that no one else can even dream of - cherrish all of these moments.

Love ya,

Sally

I really am trying to enjoy this time in my life however its a tad difficult when my days are 17 hours long with no free time except weekends where I do homework and catch up on sleep. Though I am now done with my first week of HRT, no noticeable changes yet but if I could see something this soon I would be happily surprised.

I am currently wondering how accepting my Dad actually is, he has been trying very hard to set up an appointment with my mom to discuss my decision. Not quite sure how that is going to go.

Lauren,

Don't expect the 17 hour days to go away when you get out of school, that's just how long it takes to work and get anything done around the house.

I am sure that you will find a balance point and get everything working together.

I have been on my hormones for two months as of Saturday and I have been noticing aa few changes recently, a little more soreness under the nipples, and a little more roundness to my breasts, I am a good deal over weight so I have had the 'man boobs' for a while but they are changing slowly and I can feel a difference.

Good luck to you with all of your various projects and your family.

Love ya,

Sally

At the other end and in our favor is Julia Serano's analysis of the Cass Report Fiasco   https://juliaserano.medium.com/the-cass-review-wpath-files-and-the-perpetual-debate-over-gender-affirming-care-8f56d0c4d0c6   Serano is a Trans Woman and a molecular biologist herself, guess whose evaluation I honor.

That's great @MaeBe hopefully the company will offer your wife a moving package with the new job position. That's how I was transferred from the St. Louis Metro area to the Indianapolis Metro area. The company covered all the moving expenses, as well as a three week stay in an extended living hotel while we chose an area to build our current home.   Good Luck and make it a happy adventure.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

@Birdie is the day care in charge of your MyChart, Hospital, and Doctors as to how you are cared for? There has to be some way to prove that you were born intersex and have a choice on your chosen pronouns. I wish we could do more for you. Keep pushing forward.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

That's nice. I have bought all my stuff through Best Buy because I love the customer service.

The Republicans are not interested in compromising.  Johnson will be gone for compromising unless the Dems help him out.

Biden campaigned as the master negotiator, able to push legislation through Congress.   Whatever bill a Dem president, a Dem Senate, and a Rep House can agree on might be  more palatable than a bill with a R president, R Senate and R House given present attitudes. They are throwing away a chance.
    • Ivy
A bill like this would never get through congress, even if it were allowed to be voted on.

It was the only appliance that was not replaced when I bought the house.Plus I have the phone number for the scrap metal hauling guy that stops at where I work at.Called him and it will be his once I get the new stove.Told me give me a call once it is out and he will come to pick it up

Ha, that's funny - I swear this is the one I used to use in high school to get around school blockers and play games. 😅🤦‍♀️   Though I'd be wary of using a free VPN today, if your only intent is bypassing censorship, I guess it works. Proton VPN also has a free tier with a limited selection of countries/servers. I feel more comfortable recommending them as they actively try to fight censorship with new evolving VPN protocols, and they protect your privacy. They are also directly funded by their paying customers. So there is really no downside to using their free tier over another free VPN that may not have the same goals/values.

That sounds pretty accurate. I'm just glad I don't use Windows anymore, as I basically consider Windows itself a virus/malware. Backups can absolutely save you from some types of malware like ransomware. However it's ideal to just not get infected by having smart browsing habits. It's been said, and very accurately so, that the best antivirus is you - even the best antivirus isn't 100% accurate in detecting bad stuff, if you go out looking for that stuff or browse carelessly.   I guess if you don't care and/or don't have sensitive data on your PC, then that's fine I suppose. I personally care a lot - personal accounts, private messages, and even my very presence on this site aren't necessarily things I want to be public knowledge. 🤓🫠

Yes he is. Sorry it has taken so long. One sick kid and the other has needed my attention more than usually.
    • MaeBe
Sure is! Is he good with the kiddos?

Once again the Biden admin ignores Congress and issues a regulation that can be quickly changed. It would be much wiser if they worked a bill through Congress that became law.
    • Ashley0616
I think that is the camera on the floor. Of course the kids aren't picking up after themselves oh well. He sure is big for only being 6 months old.
