Your post made me think back as to how much I WOULD HAVE if I would have never purged multiple times! I can think back to many outfits that I adored that I really, really wish I still had. A beautiful little black dress I had in college comes to mind that was just short enough and hugged my curves in all the right places! OOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I looked GREAT in that dress! It was as if it was made just for me! Did anyone else ever have (or still have) a dress like that? I would love to have that dress back now! Those were the days! When I lived alone and could dress anytime I wanted and for as long as I wanted (until the next class, that is!)

Anyway, here's what I have now:

4 bras, 12 panties, 3 slips, 1 bodice, 2 body-shapers, multiple pairs of panty hose, 2 garter belts and stockings, 3 dresses, 6 blouses, 5 skirts, 2 slacks, 3 sweaters, 1 belt, hoop earrings, a couple of necklaces, 4 pairs of heels, 2 wigs, and 2 purses (both full of makeup).

I don't think I forgot anything there.....Anyway, it's close enough. It's too painful because while I am trying to think of what I have presently, I keep thinking about some of the great stuff I used to have that I had forgotten about and it is becoming rather depressing!

Also, I keep it all in a big, old athletic equipment bag that I had when I played ball in college and it is safely locked up in a big cabinet out in the storage garage. My wife thinks it's locked because I don't want the kids or the dog getting into any of the paint thinner and lawn chemicals I have locked up in there! Let's just say that if she ever decided to fertilize the lawn, I think my secret would be out! Luckily for me, she doesn't have much of a "green thumb!"

hi

Since my first topic (telling one's spouse) actually went over better than I expected, I shall try another.

After reading some posts regarding wardrobes, I'm curious as to what all you/we have, where do you store it, if you have to hide it, where are some good places, how often do you update it. Or anything else you might like to share about your clothes!

Although the forum is for cross-dressers, any others (like those transitioning, for instance) are welcome to join in.

Let's see, I'll start, and at the top. I have three wigs, two brunette, both just over shoulder length, one fairly straight with bangs (I like bangs for some reason), the other a little wavy, the blond is longer (sort of a big hair, I bought it in a 'blond' moment - and I very seldom wear it anymore).

I have two dresses, one a black dressy sleeveless above the knee (the two -and others- in my early gallery pics are long gone), the other, also sleeveless but a more casual medium blue with white accents and double straps, just below the knee.

Four skirts, one tan and one black, both pencil shaped and above the knee (back zippered), the third a little white sport one that's rather short; the fourth is dark blue several inches below the knee, buttons up the front.

Three tops, a button up sleeved blouse with a muted animal print that goes with the tan skirt, a white button up sleeved blouse with pleats on the front that goes with the blue skirt, and a dark green sleeveless pullover that goes with the black.

Two pairs of shoes, dark blue pumps with about an inch or so heel, the other silver/gold strappy sandals with a 3 1/2" (or slightly more) heel.

A number of panties and bras, different colors, including a white longline, and a black strapless with garters. A black body shaper open at the legs, a panty girdle (no legs); cream thigh tops, black seamed stockings, several pairs of pantyhose dark and taupe, reinforced and nude. For sleeping, sort of a shear body suit that is extremely uncomfortable. Some accessories like clip on earrings, necklace, belts, my own cosmetics.

These all stay hidden because I have adult children that when not staying with us, still feel they have free run of the house as it's where they grew up. So mostly they're folded in a bundle or a garment bag both tucked way in the back of my closet, or occasionally in a large locked suitcase in the attic.

I actually purchased most of the above through mail order. A lot of thinking and looking as size charts, mostly I got it right, one or two things just a little roomy, one or two things a little tight. (but that's also a weight problem!!!) I once purchased a blouse at a real dept. store (way 'out of town') but a little too small. Long gone. Several items were retrieved (that my wife got, but hardly wore).

So, please share with the rest of us!

Hi truknights!

I'd like to welcome you to Laura's Playground where the people are quite caring and supportive, ideas and thoughts are shared by all, and even the snacks some of our moderators serve are quite tasty.

We'd all really love it if you could come over to the Introductions Forum and let us know just a little more about you, where I'm sure lots more people would be just as delighted to meet you.

Being a moderated forum, all posts are looked at before they're posted, so there is some safety in posting. Or if you'd rather not, that's fine too. We're still glad you're here and looking around.

Hugs

Chloë

P.S. I know that it takes a lot of courage to put up that first post. Many here lead a furtive life (sort of hidden) worried that people who aren't that kind may find something out and cause problems, but Laura's Playground is one of the safer places on the internet. We do truly care about everyone that joins.

Interesting to see the variety of clothing we girls have.

Mine is quite simple but nice. four dresses of which my favorite is the "little black dress", a couple of costumes (I love costumes!), about six bras and panties (one of which is the padded type), two sets of breast forms, two skirts & tops, a brunette longish wig and a blonde shorter one, 3" platform shoes, long satin gloves. I add to it as I can afford.

I've done a few "purges" in my life, disposing of several wardrobes. Wish I had all those now!

I'm rebuilding my wardrobe after many years. Today I stopped at Goodwill and picked up 2 blouses and a skirt for $16. I only need another pair of shoes and skirt/slacks to round out my stash. Of course this doesn't mean I'll quit adding stuff.

I just got a new Flexees One Fabulous Body Briefer and I can't tell you all how awesome they are. If you don't have one of these numbers you really need to get yourself one!

So today, my wife called me a fashion diva. I liked that! My closet is now so stuffed that I can't begin to list everything. But I'm wearing my favorite right now. It's a dusty rose dress with gold floral print. It has several layers that are thin enough to see through and the inside is a purple slip. Just the right amount of dignity and pizazz for an old lady. Can't wait to wear it to the CD club meeting next week.

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either
