I finally got out in my butterfy print skirt (former undersized dress which I converted to a skirt). Also low cut t shirt, toeless tights (for wearing with sandals) and sandals. Lovely in the hot weather, a cool breeze just flapping the thin fabric! Simple plain white bra (slightly padded) and panties to complete.

Soon to change into cami top and panties for bed.

Today, we were invited to wear jeans and 4th of July colors instead of our usual business casual. Don't get me wrong - I live in dresses - but wearing jeans, a white top and a red, white & blue bandana was a wonderful change. And to top it off, I wore my hair in a pony, putting the brakes on the fem look a bit. That did turn some heads at the office!

Love, Megan

Cool ! Freedom of expression is the way....

After a morning keeping well covered up (not due to the sun but because I was picking fruit in the garden and was trying to avoid scratches) am now back in my ultra short shorts and a scoop neck tee (rolled up a little).

Feeling so much better :)

Pink tank top and a really cute knee length flowery skirt that I just bought at Torrid like an hour ago. It's cute and flowey and fun! Also I'm really glad I shaved my legs last night. :)

Just lounging here with the laptop on my knee

Still warm enough for my short jean shorts, flower pattern short sleeved shirt open except for two buttons, black panties and slippers.

Considering I threw out my male shorts as uncomfortable after finding a skirt so much better I am loving these shorts (I cannot see the neighbours coping with a skirt when I throw out the trash lol)

Had a little time alone this morning so I decided to dress. Proper underthings of course, gray opaque tights, gray plaid knee length wool skirt, purple turtle neck sweater, dark gray heels, and of course wig and makeup. Such fun! Need to change for work soon though. Enjoy the moments when I can!

Another day with a couple hours to dress. Chose tan textured tights, bra and panties of course, forest green Ann Taylor ribbed turtle neck dress (about mid thigh) simple gray bead necklace and the obligatory wig and makeup. Only wish I didn't have to change for work. Did my makeup light enough to leave it on for the day. ;-)

This morning I am wearing my much loved old jeans-they are a boys 14 husky and fit so perfectly they were my default around home jeans. But sadly they may not stand another wash with more holes developing every day. And they are getting a little big so I fear they may head south at an inopportune time too. I'll miss my old friends on the fast approaching day they are no longer decent even for home.

Still wear those 501s I've posted about in this thread but they are also showing age as well as getting a little too big. They are my default hiking jeans now rather than go to town wear.

Funny but I have always developed a relationship with my clothes so some become like familiar old friends. I do like to dress up to go to town but otherwise I like my old stuff.

That's wonderful news!! I took our pup in for her Vet check today - perfect. She slept 7 hours last evening and is coming along really well with her house breaking and crate training.   I know you'll have some excitement with a new Boxer!!

Surgeries are drastic, and indeed should be a last resort for minors.  As indeed they are.  It is very rare for anyone under 18 to get gender-affirming surgery.  It is typically only done if the person would be suicidal without it.   Puberty blockers are a way to avoid the "drastic measure" of forcing the person to undergo the wrong puberty.  They should not be prescribed lightly, and I don't think they are.  They are a way to go slow until the person can truly make an informed decision.

My Endo keeps track of several trace chemicals in my blood system that can be affected by our slightly different hormone balance, keeping in mind we have had both hormones all our life, just in different balance.  I did have to change one diuretic I was taking that was crashing out one chemical that does affect energy levels, and it turned out that Spiro was the alternative to that one for the way it works there.  I was never on Spiro for the hormone issues per se.  Let your doctor know about the fatigue sometime today or whenever you read this.

Hmmm .  .  . if I only had a ten-word description that completely described my identity. That would be great, but one doesn't exist. "I'm a girl—and a boy. And neither—and both?" There. Now you know, right? Maybe not. —Davie

I think you should discuss it with your doctor.  I know you are 'asking around' but experience probably varies.

This one is behind a pretty heavy pay-wall, for me $50 US/per year.

I had heard the story of Nicks-Buckingham but not the rest.  Olsen was prolific.

I completely relate to this.  My partner of 5 years has made it clear she won't be going with me if I go down this path. I feel like I wasted her time with my own fear and procrastination.  I visit my elderly parents (my mother has dementia) and my first thought is there's no way I can put them through this. I think the same thing when I see my adult daughters.     Nobody is holding us hostage but us.

I do get this, really.  However this is part of the reasoning behind the blockers.  Without them there will be "irreversible" changes, only not the ones wanted. No, I don't think this should be done lightly, but I have a problem with forbidding it by law in all cases.
    • Ivy
Yeah.  I have 6 of them.  I learned a lot.

I'm kind of torn on this issue. On the one hand, I have met or seen youngsters, and there is very little doubt they are trans. It would seem cruel to deny them care toward this end. On the other hand, there are many others who may dip their toes into the waters while exploring themselves only to realize it isn't who they are. My daughter had a friend like that in high school. First he wanted to date her. Then he thought he was transfeminine for a season then realized that wasn't him.   We go slow on so many other things with kids. We don't let underaged folks drink or vote. We would question someone who locked into a career at age 12-15 (though there ARE some people who do know exactly what they want to do when they grow up very early in life). We would discourage marrying very young, etc.   I'm never crazy about government regulations on things because they tend to screw everything up. So I hate this has become such a political football where neither side listens to the other... But there is wisdom in going slow and allowing things to play out and making sure before such drastic measures as blocking puberty and having surgeries are taken...   Of course, it should be a person-by-person decision, working in concert with family, community and medical professionals, but it seems we never want to do it this way. We always seem to want to throw everyone and everything into a one-size-fits-all dynamic...
