I don't have a sample of my voice, but I was just wondering if I could get a few pointers.

I've heard of pitch & resonance, BUT I DON'T know what they MEAN.

So help please?

Its very apppreeciateddd

Male voices tend to resonate in the chest where as womens use the head as a resonator. Put a finger lightly on the top and bottom of your larynx (adams apple) and if you get heavy vibration in both places you are on the right track.

its the exact opposite of what us MTFs do, we need to get rid of most of that vibration

I think my personal take is the following:

1) Male voices are as jagged and fractured.

2) Male voices are projected from the bottom of the lungs.

3) Males swear more and pay far less attention to emotions, especially in speach (ie. never say 'feel', it is always 'think')

Men tend to try to say as much in as little as possible. Hence the existence of conversations consisting entirely of 'um', 'grunt' and 'dude'. Women are great orators who weave a story from the winds of time, painting an emotional picture that you can lose yourself in. Men give you the cliff notes version of the cliff notes version.

Again, the above is my opinion, and I have been wrong before.

Odd, my kids and my best friend tell me I swear more since I came out to them...

I blame it on society...

or maybe I am just a foul mouthed witch?

Eh, doesn't matter...I think the main difference in male vs. female cursing is that men drop the "f" bomb a lot more frequently...

Also, men tend to give a lot more one word answers to questions - goes back to the whole story thing...

oh - and don't forget to leave out vital information - and the younger you are, the more vital information you need to leave out as a male - ask my lovely boys...they will shrug and walk away...

^^ LOL

Yah, leaving out info is also key. Play around with what is generally left out depending on the situation. From my experience pretending to be male I learned that reactions that guys like to think they share are often omitted.
