Letter...holy Crap

I am sitting in the parking lot of my therapist. About 6 minutes ago I walked out of her office holding my HRT letter. I'm shaking. A smile is etched into my face; I can't stop smiling. To add to my euphoria, (I have no idea if this is normal), she wrote the letter using the CORRECT pronoun. Good god this is a difficult and scary journey, but this is definately one of the high points.

Before I start rambling, I'm gonna stop talking. And read my letter again.

I'm rigjht there with you,sis. I got my letter on Saturday and am sitting in my doctor's waiting room writing this. I arrived an hour and a half early! I'm just trying to stay cool on the outside because on the inside I'm running marathons. I suppose after all these years I've gotten good at keeping my exterior and interior separate. Not for much longer... I'm so very happy for you. I know exactly how you feel. I feel it too.

I already have an appointment with a TS friendly endo...my therapist told me last vist that she would have my letter ready this time. But! Actually having it in my hands is so awesome. She, her, ms....all in the letter.

It all sounds perfectly normal to me!

That's sort of how I felt, a wonderful sense of it is really moving now, mixed with a little bit of fear and topped off with absolute joy.

What exactly does this letter say? I thought it was only a so-and-so is eligible for hormones type of letter. Does it say something else? You don't need to post the actual letter if you don't want to. And congrats

Most importantly ...it says...

(Your female name....) she/her/hers etc....That's what makes it so nice...outside of telling a doctor that you are diagnosed as transsexual and are mentally good to go on HRT!

Real good stuff!

The letter basically says that I am transgendered and in my therapist's opinion, I'm ready for HRT. It also has a breakdown of all of my therapy, with opinions of mental health and desires for transition. Mine is two pages long...again, I dunno if that's normal.

I get all giggly thinking about it. So depressed lately, I reeeealy needed this.
