Hey everyone.. I am here to ask what you all think of the latest installment to the twilight series : New Moon.

Now haters, I have to letcha know this fact, I thought the same way at first. I called Edward Cullins, Ed's Colin. I hated the idea about a romantic vampire movie and as my friends started to enjoy twilight I continued to say it was the lamest thing to hit pop-culture. NOW, once you see the movies,,especially New Moon, your mind may change (mine sure did!)! It was filled with some action, romance, mystery. It was quite enjoyable, and I would definatly see it again (seeing movies a second time for me require them to be fantastic!). I may even get around to reading the books..if my schedual permits me to :P!

I recomend you to go out and see it...but please for the love of god, don't wear your vamp fangs to it! Lol :P (aww..sure I'll forgive ya if you do).

Anyways post your comments/thoughts about any of the movies and lets get a convo going! :P

PS: No matter how good those movies are, I will never be a screaming fan :(...that spot for me is reserved for final fantasy :)!

Hey...since no one else is talking about it. I will. I saw the movie with my sister, and...we were both disappointed.

Now, we haven't read the books..but we're vamp fans. Anything Vamp we usually know about it, or we're working our way to knowing about it. We had been on a True Blood high, when the first Twilight movie came out, expecting something along those lines. Boy were we wrong. We decided to see the second one, hoping that they did the wolves some justice...but eh.

Maybe I'm not hip. But these types of Vampires don't do it for me. The story was way to rushed, and Bella was up and down the entire movie with her emotions. I think that, when I found out this series was truly for pre-teens or young adults...whatever, they were serious. I mean I love sci-fi as much as the next person, but this story is just too unbelievable.

Will I go see the next one? Yes...because they did such a horrible job at the ending. I hope that the book doesn't end like that...geez. But yeah, we plan on finishing out the rest of the movies, just to see what the heck happens. But it's going to see it for the sake of curiosity, not the sake of enjoyment.

But that's why the make different types of movies right, for different types of people. So I'm glad you enjoyed it....but....

Bring on the next Underworld.

Since I've actually read the books I feel like I'm obligated to respond.

To defend myself, I work at Barnes and Noble and in order to work the midnight release of the fourth book (for which we got pay and a half), we were required to read at least the first Twilight book. After that I decided to finish up the series. It's a fun plot and the characters actually have a lot of depth to them, even if the writing is abysmal.

First note, most readers of the books hate the movies. I personally liked the first one because I appreciate grunge, indie movies (which is what it was originally going to be before the fandom mysteriously skyrocketed in post-production) and was a fan of both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart prior to Twilight (sidebar: they are both waaaay more attractive physically and personality-wise in real life). That being said, most book fans hate the movies because they don't translate well to film. The screenwriter, Melissa Rosenburg, has a SERIOUS problem distinguishing between those things that sound fine in your head, but stupid when you say them out loud.

The budget made a huge difference for the second film and Chris Weitz, the new director, clearly put a lot more thought into every level of the production than the first director, Catherine Hardewicke. Unfortunately, Melissa Rosenburg was still there to make sure that the actors sounded as stupid as ever and the plot stumbled by unbelievably.

And the ending. Wow. So awful. I was at a midnight showing and the entire theatre groaned. Rest assured, CJWar, the book does not end that way. There are a few more chapters of Bella telling him he's dumb for asking her to marry him and outright refusing him.

Ignoring the ending and the few bits that did not translate well from paper to screen, I did actually love it and can't wait to see it again.

I never read any of the books (yet) , so I didn't know how distorted the movie was compared to the book. My sis is a "fanpire", and she said the ending was horrible lol. I thought she didn't like it because it was a cliffhanger ending, but I guess (as you've posted Larson) that info was being left out.

Bring on the next Underworld.
<--- Ahmen to that :)!! Such a fantastic movie...Evolutions was so sad..I've been meaning to watch the rest of them sometime.

This is also a relatively small forum and it can take a long time, seemingly, for someone to get around to replying to a post.

I am also pretty sure that several of them are folks who are "trans curious".  Sometimes folks who are trying to find their own identity, are attracted to trans folks or who are simply interested in the trans community.   There may also be some who wish to do us harm which is why ......... I've just learned to smile figuring "i'm on candid camera".   I'm sure many of our younger members never experienced that show so my age is showing.   Hugs,   Charlize

Most of those "guests" are web bots from China, Indonesia, France etc. looking us over. They are mostly benign.  All they can see or gain access to are the general forums.  Members should be careful not to post anything that could readily identify themselves such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. They do not have access to our gallery, blogs or private messenger. They seem to haunt all forums. Not just us. I should add that they can make us known across the internet. That's how prospective members find us. Google would be a good example.

I hope he gets what he deserves.

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.

So from time to time my brain gets a hold of information and puts it together with other information in weird way that get me thinking. I was reading about a nudes cruise that they are running out if Miami. It got me thinking that a transgendered person who is also a naturalist, has to be one of the most unlucky people alive. How does one manage that and does that ever come up? Not trying to make fun here, just genuinely curious. Things that make you go hmmmm....

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is about as bad as Texas but definitely not as bad as Florida. Especially as a minor!
