Growing Breasts And...so...

The title pretty much says it all. My mate is starting to react to the hormones and has growing budding breasts but because of her shoulder/chest size she's far larger than your adverage preteen natal girl! (lol) She's got a 42in chest. For now we've got her in sports bras which seems to be helping her shirts not rub the super sensative parts, but the tightness gets to her a bit and I thought it would appropriate to get her a training bra. Thoughts?

That's a big chest.. all I can suggest is looking in the "oversize" section of the larger stores.. I find an A or B cup works about right.. a size small so it pushes what is there upfront.

I have a slightly different strategy:

My underbust is 33" and my bust is 36". Cup sizing charts say that is a B/C- ya right, in my dreams. What is actually happening is that my bust measurement is distorted by my broad shoulders. After a little experimenting, found that a 36C demi works perfectly. The larger band and cup size conforms to my chest better than one that is closer to my actual band and bust size

Hope this helps!

Also you can google bra 42A and get more selections.

I found Bali/Haynes/Playtex outlets and Nordstrom and to have a GREAT selection in a wide variety of sizes if you wanted to go to a store and try them on first (which I recommend). Back in my non-passing at all days, I found some sales associates in the intimates department to be nicer about it than others, but when accompanied by a natal woman I never once had a problem shopping for a bra and getting them to allow me to try them on. So if you and your partner want her to get to try various styles and such on, I suggest you go along for moral support and to make sure they treat her properly. I would also recommend getting her fitted for the right size as well. Best to start off wearing a properly fitting bra now.

Hugz,

Chrissy

Oh, and Spanx makes some bras in that size range as well. They are listed as 42B but, being they are very elastic so they should give just a little support while not putting too much pressure on the girls on the nipple area.

Thanks ladies! My mate is no where near passing full time. Still working on beard removal, only a month into HRT and such. So she's not ready to walk into a store and try on ANYTHING :( I encourage her as I can...but the website was very helpful so we could buy her a bra in her size. Hooray! I know her sports bras have been on too tight and her shoulders are starting to break out a little bit :( Can't wait till the new bra gets here. Thanks again!

Actually, it's easy to do just that.

I recently called a nice store on the phone and asked for women's wear. I explained to the lady who answered that I was just starting my transition, was under the supervision of a Doctor (actually not true at that time) and wanted to get fitted for my first bra. I went on to say that I had a medical condition and wasn't a pervert and if she wasn't comfortable helping me, that I didn't want anyone to feel that way. I'd just go away quietly and find another store, no problem.

The woman I worked with was just great and she jumped into this project with real enthusiasm. She took me to a little fitting room where we had privacy, just like all the other ladies and measured me up. Yup, 36A....

She asked me about styles and I'll bet she brought me over 20 different bras to try on. She helped me put each one on and adjusted the straps and everything.

I ended up buying 5 and a nice nightgown. We talked the whole time like 2 girls. When we were all done, she was in no hurry for me to leave and she gave me her card and told me to call her whenever I wanted to shop some more. I've got a friend now!

I must own dozens of bras that don't fit and I don't ever want to buy one again that I haven't tried on, as I understand how differently each one fits and how different every body is.

This doesn't have to be that hard with a little advance planning and some honesty, which is easy enough to do anonymously on the phone. They work on commission, want to sell things and many of them don't care who they sell to, anyway.

I'm perky now

Yes, thanks a bunch for the links!

I shopped for my first bra yesterday...because I'm going to an event this Saturday wher I'll be wearing a white blouse and it's partly see thru!

So I needed a bra...

Got one 36A...off the shelf at K Mart!

And much to my surprise, I'm able to fill it nicely!

YAY!

Normally I don't wear one .

But this was quite exciting to shop for and buy!

Huggs!

Marks and Spenser have the best selection of 38A (and AA) bras I've found. You can search by size.

They will ship to the US for £10 I think (not sure about any customs charges there might be on top of that once they arrive in the country?).

Some of the bras are really pretty. These are the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. I love them. I can't rate them highly enough. They make me jump for joy. :) I might buy a 38B of the same style to grow into.

Don't go and buy all the bras before Christmas, cos I want some more too! ;)

I bought a 36 B bra from Victoria's Secret (a shop I don't normally like that well because they have a crappy selection of sizes) that is the best push-up bra I have ever found. The girls look beautiful and makes me go from a B to a D. It does this while looking so natural. No one can tell it is a push-up with extreme padding, except people who know I am not really that big. They even squeeze them together to give me that line of cleavage that is so hard for me to get because my breast mass is all on the sides and I have very little in the center of my chest. I wasn't even looking for bigger boobies. I just wanted them to squeeze together more. I have searched far and wide for this bra, and they seem to be the only ones who have it. I used to have to use an adhesive bra to get the same effect, but those are expensive and wear out so quickly.

Well she did choose me in the end not him. Just frustrated that it was so hard to get her to do that.

I am sorry to hear that your friend turned out to not be a friend at all.  But that is the bottom line: she is not a friend.  She has chosen to ally herself with him and he is toxic to be around.

Please pray for my precious baby lady, my Siberian husky, who is having emergency surgery this afternoon to remove her spleen and a large mass attached to it. May the surgery be successful and uncomplicated, recovery be swift and easy, and pathology be benign. She is our sunshine girl.

I decided to post here in the "other faiths" forum to declare this thread non-denominational and inclusive of all faiths, creeds, philosophies, etc. I thought it would be beneficial for our community to have a thread where we could reach out with requests for prayers, thoughts, intentions, or however individuals understand the sending of good vibes. So feel free to post here. Whether or not you get direct responses to your request, know it's been received, read, and honored. And may peace and ease be yours.

Hi, you can be a trans man and be agender aswell. I know it seems like a contradiction, but I see myself as non binary and I'm accepting myself as a trans man also. You could be called trans masculinine also. If you like trans man the best though, go for it. You can be a GNC trans man.  Have you heard of gender fluid? Not saying this is you, but it does relate to what you say. Sometimes you seem genderless, more agender and sometimes more masculine. I also see myself as a bit genderfluid, but only for the masc genders. I never wear anything fem so would never consider myself a fem boy. I used to think I was , non binary, then a demi man, trans masc,  trans man. I can't pin a label to what I am. My counsellor said I may be genderfluid, but a very masc genderfluid person. I love that you hate societal gender roles, I do too! I dress like a stereotypical guy because that's my style anyway, but I won't change my hobbies or personality to suit what a "man" is.

@Lydia_R   I seem to recall my mother making us cream of wheat or Quaker rolled oats in the wintertime. I don’t know about “old fashion” or “steel cut”. Now I preferred either with sugar and or berries and the cream of wheat with some milk.  I believe my older sister liked her’s with maple syrup.   as far as a “larger culture”. I think you will find that even though we all support each other there is no singular culture.  There are conservative values shared here and there are very radical everyone for the cause and rights.  I like to think that I am someplace in the middle.  No, I don’t go to Pride events nor transgender day of remembrance .  I don’t go to clubs or bars where others hang out.  I do try to hold council with others that need someone to talk to or a hug, or if I know of a group that might be helpful or a doctor, I will pass that on.  But yes I am out of the closet, go to work and church and do everything as a woman.  The male side of me is gone.   i get asked personal questions sometimes and while I neither get mad that what they are asking is too personal, I also don’t speak out oh yes ive done this or that or plan to do this or that.  I leave it with I've done everything I intend to do, or I didn’t figure this out until I was 68 years old because I knew nothing about what being transgender was. You have those that were kicked out of their home, I wasn’t, those that got divorced, I didn’t and those that have to put up with others who refuse to accept your gender, your rights to be who you are, and that I do get every day.   so is there a representative culture for being transgender?  Tell me I’m wrong, but I don’t think so I think we are a suppress percentage of the population that are getting braver but who get trampled all the time.   Willow

Hi Ashley,   Thank you so much the reply !!!   That makes total sense with trusting the process and knowing that it’s not a sprint but rather like a marathon like you were saying.    So far so good with the Spiro 2 days in. Other than peeing a lot lol. But, no other noticeable side effects which I’m happy to report. However, I am MUCH happier that I’ve started at least somewhere. Gender Dysphoria symptoms are VERY real and starting treatment has made me SO much happier.   But, I will definitely look into the other options for E as you mentioned as there are definitely other options to consider other than the systemic route, thank you!!    p.s also trust in the process yourself and don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re a beautiful girl inside and out no matter what. “Patience is a virtue” is a proverb I’ve always lived by.   Much love girly 😊❤️

Update: I have been put on blood pressure meds to lower a minor case of hypertension.  This has seemed to help the sore danglies quite alot. This was unexpected, however very happy this issue "may" be solved.
