Is It Illegal To...

Hey I'm a 15 year old boy that loves to wear girls panties. I have to admit I like to show them off in public. And I was just wondering, would it be legal to go out just wearing a T-shirt and panties, or is that considered public indecency. I know in some places its probably against the dress code, but I once saw a picture of a girl in walmart wearing nothing but a bra and pair of panties, so i think they would have to let a guy do the same thing. so if anyone knows anything about laws against cross dressing, that would be great

Grant, most cities and towns have statutes against public indecency or something similar. The wording may

change but the idea is to keep people from showing too much in the way of undergarments or what is under the undergarments. Stores also have policies against such things, i.e "no shoes, no shirt, no service."

So to answer your question, you should check your local ordinances and the rules of wherever you plan to go.

But I would strongly advise against it even if it isn't illegal in your town. To me, that is just asking for Trouble, with a capital T. You don't need that kind of attention.

Grant,

I have to agree whole-heartedly with Carolyn. Please, just be very careful about how you appear in public. Laura's is a very understanding and supportive site. There really aren't that many places that are, and I would be saddened if something happened to you because you mistakenly were in the wrong place.

Lots of larger communities have support groups or have places that it's acceptable to wear opposite gender clothing. You might want to look around and see if there are places or groups like that near you.

Be safe!

I think it would be extremely poor judgment (just as it was for the young girl in the picture) for you to go out openly in your underpants in public. It might work for Borat in the movies, but it will not work for you, lil' miss. I can't think of a place you could go to do that - maybe you could start a business that organizes "underwear only" rave parties, and you decide if you want people showing up wearing nothing but the bvds (I'm partial to Vanity Fair!)

Grant,

Please heed the advice from Krystina, Chloe, and Carolyn and do not make an unwanted spectacle of yourself. Being 15, you don't want to add

a negative life experience to your bio. If you want to wear panties, and happen to show a little, well, that's not going to do much harm, but

you do have to be very careful about turning your daydreams into reality.

Sincerely, Roberta

(BTW, I don't usually address minors, but in this case I felt it was warranted.)

Hi Grant,

First, I want to welcome you to Laura's :)

Second, think of your question this way.... How appropriate is it for anyone to be going out in public in their underwear regardless of gender and regardless of the underwear worn?

I think the answer to your question is obvious.

Obviously everyone before me already said it, but to add:

Going out in public and exposing your undergarments publicly is a good way to get seriously injured or killed. Our society is not very tolerating of crossdressers. Even the ones that pass 100% still end up getting killed from time to time. None of us are in any way trying to put you down or make you feel bad; we are simply advising that you choose to make a better decision. You mentioned that you saw a girl out in her underwear. That was very poor judgement on her part and could have resulted in a rape incident.

Would you care to explain why you desire so strongly to show off your underwear in public, that is if you don't mind me asking?

Grant, At age 15 you could easily grow your hair out and pass as a girl. Girlyshorts or a little mini over those panties, and no-one will bat an eyelid.

Panties alone will attract all the wrong sort of attention, which you will speedily regret. You want to have fun, then dress up.

Let me be quite blunt...

How would you like to be tossed in jail, as a man, with nothing but a bra and panties on?

How long do you think it would be before someone else in there turns you into his sweety?

Having done some time for unpaid fines let me relate a jail house saying to you...

you walk in an a**hole and walk out a manhole... no further description is needed.

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
