Hmmmm.

I would love some satin pajamas, red, pink or black.

Thigh high boots, black or brown, 2.5 inch heels

A pants suit and a skirt suit, gray or navy

Designer jeans, straight leg or boot cut.

Lots of wide belts.

Cowl neck sweaters (actually, any kind of sweater. I love sweaters!)

I'm starting to feel faint, so I'll stop here. ;)

Some basics first,

New breast forms to get me from 48DD to 48C.

A couple of new wigs, longish bob style, one dark/burgandy, the other ginger.

As far as clothing goes

A business type jacket in light grey pinstripe with matching skirt and trousers.

Some cowl neck sweaters

A couple of pairs of jeans

And of course shoes, shoes, and more shoes.

I'm a simple gal to please.

Just give me free run of the Victoria's Secret warehouse for a few hours.

Simple right?

I'm especially interested in THIS

Also that everyone here has a Wonderful X-mas. This would mean more to me than a dress anyway. ;)

Merry Chrismas everyone. :P

hmmm, here is a slightly different wish list -

the experience needed to overcome my fear of going out in public

current stylish outfits, and the instincts on how to wear them that make me look like any one else, so I just blend in

lots more practice with cosmetics so my appearance looks 'natural'

acceptance by those who I decide to tell.

That's not too much now, is it. (ok, maybe a properly fitted corset would be nice)

I know it is difficult to get up the confidence to go out that first time, but really the only way to build that confidence is to actually do it. I had to learn how in a hurry when my gender team threw me to the sharks and told me 2 months rle without hormones.

There isn't too much on my Christmas list this year, it has in the past been sort of a "Wizard of Oz" list needing one of what each main character was seeking.

But that list is getting shorter.

Scarecrow - searching for brains, I believe that I have finally gotten a few things about my true nature into my sometimes very thick skull. (Thanks to all of you.)

Tin Woodsman - looking for a heart, over the past moth or so I have pretty well documented how mine has finally opened up. (Thanks Dee Jay!)

Dorothy - wanted to go home, I just needed to find one and I have - right here. (Thank you Laura.)

Cowardly Lion - looking for courage, that is what I have yet to find and I know that I will need it before the end of next year as my HRT is having very good results and that terrifying prospect of coming out at work looms in my not too distant future.

Other than that I have all that I need, more money would be helpful but I get by so I have my friends here, I feel loved and I share my love - what more could I need?

Love ya,

Sally

Because of the loss of most of my stuff recently my Christmas list is very long, this year.

Some things have arrived already....New hair, courts, legwear black and white long gloves, black and white ruffle blouses, floaty yellow full skirt, long salsa-type crossover halter dress in Fuchsia/coral, new C forma and pocket bra. Black underbra corset, clip-on earrings various and ditto necklaces.

To come are more long hair (different), two icewear skating dresses, one gold, the other turquoise, an English schoolgirl's outfit in silver-grey with white shirt and red tie and white over-knee socks with red bows, two pairs of vintage pleated culotte type shorts, one in silver-grey, the other (longer) in peachy-cream. a black lace shoulder bolero and black and light pink pairs of over-knees with bows.....enough?

Are you lucky enough to see people's aura's? If so, can you describe?

Two unusual conbinations: Jackson Brown was accompanist for Nico of The Velvet Undarground & Nico fame. David Gates of Bread fame played with Captain Beefheart.

I started estrogen (oral) a little before age 50 and not the maximum dose either and also no blockers. It almost immediately accentuated the feminine features I already had, and expanded my already soft areas of skin, widened my hips and distributed more fat to my thighs and increased my breast size. There seem to be some subtle changes to my face too though I doubt I am any more passable than I was a decade ago, it’s just nice to not use breast forms anymore. I haven’t switched to injections as planned and there really hasn’t been much change after the first 6 months and my body fights back; my E levels dropped and T increased even on the same dose so it has not really done much for me. It sounds like injections are the far better way to go, plus progesterone after a while if the doctor will prescribe that.    As is often said, everyone is unique and one’s mileage may vary, and what works for one person may not for another.

This is so sad. The violence in general in Washington State seems to have ramped up a lot, and gender-based violence and hate crimes seem to be worse as well. My parents once lived in Renton but I don’t care for that city and never go there. I don’t think it really matters though as crimes like this can happen anywhere and often are perpetrated by a male who was in a prior relationship with the victim.

I’ve never been in therapy specifically labeled as such, butI think IFS therapy evolved from treatment of dissociative identity disorder in which one’s various alters or parts are treated as an internal family, and each part is like a separate individual who can be spoken to individually or have dialogue with other parts. In a person with full DID, doing that supposedly helps to break down the dissociative barriers that cause that person to not be able to remember what they did for parts of a day or longer. This was the case with me.   Anyone’s mind, though, can be thought of as being compartmentalized to some extent and we all can have an inner child and various aspects of our selves, yet the dissociation is never to a degree that it causes problems like with DID. But the same aspects of working with an internal family or different aspects of self, like the inner child, the rebellious teen, the persecutor parental type, etc, can help heal trauma nonetheless. I think many of us do have sides of us that we don’t like, or others don’t like, and it can be useful to examine how they came about and what purpose they serve as they are often a means of self-protection or coping with anxiety.

We had soup and steamed rice for dinner tonight.  Simple, basic, feed-a-ton-of-people kind of food.  With strawberries for dessert!  We have a huge strawberry patch, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon picking.  And there's some left over, which I put in the downstairs kitchenette.  Time for a late night snack!     Outside of meals, I mostly live by nibbling on fruit and a few green things.

Well, it is officially summer.  85 degrees outside the last two days, and GF is sick and irritable.  I have to curl up under heavy blankets in my nest, because she's got the AC turned down to the point I expect to see icicles growing on the ceiling.  This is what life is like when your partner is an arctic creature. I should be used to it by now, but just when I think its nice and warm, she has to freeze me.

I just can't resist.  Does all that mean that.............the bird is the word?
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Well, that might be interesting.  At least since she's 24, its not like you're on the hook for expenses.
