Things You Find Annoying About Your Chosen Gender

So there's a million things I love about being a girl, and I'm sure I'll discover a million more, but are there any annoying, niggly things that bother you?

for instance, so far what I find annoying is, buttons are on the wrong side of everything!! I'm sure i'll get used to this eventually.

and

Nothing has any ruddy pockets!!! I have my wallet, ipod, headphones, keys, 2 mobile phones, my pills and my bus pass to carry around minimum. I'm sure eventually I'll be able to enjoy the delights of owning a handbag but you can't listen to your ipod while it's in your bag, and if you keep your phone in your bag it always rings off before you can answer it. and there are other impracticalities, if someone grabs your handbag, that's it you've lost everything, if I get mugged or someone picks my pocket for my wallet, i'm probably at least still going to have my keys. so there you go, I figure i'm either going to have to intergrate my personal electronics (suck it up and get an iphone) or buy smaller versions of everything!!!

There are a million things that I love, too...

But, that button thing gets to me!

I have to present male for work for now and the buttons are on the right....

All of my women's things have buttons on the left...Makes it hard to dress in the dark!

And I have a handbag now that I take everywhere..(yep! Lack of pockets!)

And I love to primp before I go somewhere, but it takes so long to get ready anymore! The days of hiking up your jeans and throwing on a T-shirt are gone! And every mirror gets a peek!....lol

But, I won't complain too much....I love most of the new things!

HUGGS!

Being a little older and slightly less flexible I am less annoyed by the buttons and carrying a purse than I am by zippers in the back!

I don't have anyone to help me and on stiff days - it is almost impossible but being a woman I cannot just change outfits for one that closes in the front - not after spending half a day picking that one!

And to Donna Jean - remember what I said about nice girls not pulling their skirts over their heads while dancing on tables - add to that nice girls do not have to dress in the dark!

Love ya,

Sally

YEP! Sure is, Honey!

It gets real cold where I am and I wear tights under my jeans lots in the winter...helps to keep warm!

Got that from a GG who says it's done all of the time....so, GOOD!

I agree there are so many things I love about being a girl but there are a few things that can be annoying with it. The buttons don't bother me that much but the no pockets or smaller pockets can get annoying (thank the Great Spirit I am in college again and can carry a book bag all the time .. makes a great impromptu purse and no one is the wiser :o ). DJ you are right about it taking longer to get ready now ... heck I have to actually think about what clothes to wear now even when it is just jeans and a shirt.

Something else you might want to try instead of the tights is wearing the spanx type hose (they don't have feet on them and are so great I love them), and work great under jeans and pants.

One of my teachers found a dress with pockets- and bought it for basically just that reason. I don't know why women's clothes have useless pockets, most of the women I've met want more pocket space than that.

it's all about maintaining your glorious womanly curves and lines. but like I have some track suit bottoms without pockets, I mean why? little black dress I get, but this is for slogging around the house.

Woke up early to prepare Mexican food for lunch as I had a friend coming over, but he forgot today is mother's day and cancelled.    Looks like I'll be eating Mexican food for dinner tonight.

My condolences to the people of WA.  A huge warning about that type of politician though, those who broadcast the Anti-Trans message rarely if ever attend to any important legislative issues to benefit their constituency.  They are mostly single trick dogs, whose trick is to empty their food bowl and whine for more food.

This stuff seems to be the major talking point for "conservatives" these days.  Just shows that they don't know what they're talking about, and don't particularly care.

You are both beautiful.  Have fun.

Mother's Day, so I thought I'd do the right thing and cook. So, we got Chinese takeaway! 😆   Actually, we planned it days ago, just thinking that tonight we would treat ourselves. Complete with a lovely bottle of Cab Sav.

Exactly.   A plain old "Good morning" should always suffice, for example, whether the recipient expects a gender specific greeting or not.

Hi awkward yet sweet, yeah, I tried dumping her but my current health insurance keeps directing me back to her as my primary, yet there are other doctors to choose from, but they are far away.

Hi Birdie, I can relate to that.

This sort of stuff makes my blood boil. A prospective state politician has gained approval from his party's state council to run in their state election next year.   He once stated that the + part of LGBTQIA+ is where pedophiles are categorized.   For clarity, in Australia the Liberal party is our main conservative party. They have lurched further to the right over the past 10 years or so. Our main progressive, union backed party is Labor.   WA Liberal party approves Dr Thomas Brough, candidate who linked LGBTQIA+ community with paedophiles - ABC News

Happy Mother’s Day    I have to be at church earlier than normal for a mic check.  I have been going over what I am to say, both silently reading and reading it aloud.  My concern is that my voice will freeze as it sometimes does.     I felt I was honored very highly yesterday by my minister and supporter on my journey.  He and another minister are Standing together to become the next co-moderators of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  They included me to receive an advance copy of their initial submission.  I was one of only 6 people listed on the email to receive this.  Later this week it will go out to all the voting commissioners that will be in Salt Lake City for the meeting.  I have asked to be allowed to attend the meeting to support him and Rev CeeCee Armstrong, whom he is standing with.    We’ll time to get ready .   Willow

Nup. Not an option. You need to keep going and keep us all in the loop, and we need to keep seeing your beautiful smile!   Party, schmarty. I'm 61 and haven't had a birthday party since I was 30. Even that was just a crummy meal at the pub with a few friends who we have since lost contact with. Don't sweat it.

On behalf of everyone reading your entries here @Sally Stone, THANK YOU for creating such an informative thread. But there is one thing you might have neglected to say at the end, and that is, "And they all lived happily ever after!" ❤️   Reno sounds like a pretty good place to call home. I understand the attraction of living in a place that is not too big but not too small.   I look forward to reading your subsequent posts about specific aspects of your journey.
