"Ma'am... Man?... Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Welcome to Walmart..."

That was odd; I was wearing man-clothes and all... I kind of like Walmart now- almost passing when I'm not even trying to is fun. :D

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Are you serious?

My FAVORITE place of all!

I consistently get "Ma'am'd" there ...

Leaving with my wife, it's ...."Have a nice day, ladies!"

And I'm dressed neutral!

They are on my 4 star list!

Huggs!

Walmart frightens me. I try to avoid it as much as humanly possible. It's too...random....and evil. I know there are dark corners from which no woman or man ever returns.

Plus, my wife and I went there once with the kids. I have no idea what we were looking for as we don't go there normally. I think it was a video game because we were in that area, although we could have been looking for pajamas because we were in that area, too. There was this woman who worked there who was very lonely and attached herself to us for a time, sucking our life away as she held us in her psychic vampiric grasp. We vowed never to return.

Despite Gin's experience with the evildoers there (I love that term, thanks W), I'm gonna go on Friday while

I'm out en femme, just to see for myself. I'll let y'all know.

Hmmm, Gin obviously went to a different Wally World then we do. The only time I see hired help is the night stock and clean shift (we often go late) then only because they're blocking isles and generally getting in the way. That whinning over with, they do get most of our business. In all frankness, Wal-Mart gets a wide cross-section of the community, and I'm sure they have seen it all - twice.

I'm at the point where getting mam'd isn't that uncommon (3 yrs hrt).

The trick is to not get mam'd when your out with friends (who have no clue) or with my wife (who needs no reminders).

Restaurants I think are the worst. I always try to say hello to the wait person before they say "hi ladies".

My wife & I ate at a place earlier this year, even talking to the waitress my times during the meal, still said "good nite ladies" when we left!

Yeah I've had this happen about two or three times, especially at places like or similar to WalMart. Sometimes its funny, sometimes its just ignorant.

I shop at Walmart all the time, i even get my hrt refilled at the pharmacy, even before i was full time i never had a problem shopping, even in the woman's section. The Walmart i shop at is open 24/7 and they are always busy, i see lots of associates during the day and evening.

Can't say I've had that happen at wal-mart, but I've been ma'am'd a few times at kum and go and convenience stores like that. =x

I don't look remotely feminine, so it must have been just because I'm skinny with long hair; it still felt like a great compliment though. xD

watch out.. you might find yourself on here..

http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/

great for a laugh, but for all the wrong reasons..

Yeah, Honey....

I've looked at that before....

And I REALLY don't want to end up on that site.....lol

But, you have to admit...most of the people on there are WAY weirder than any of us here! (at least I hope so!)

The Wal Mart by me is also open 24/7 and you never know who will show at all hours...I know that I have!

HUGG!

That peopleofwalmart site... there is no way all of those are real, some of them have to be staged.

Where I am from (mostly the midwest) there is meijers and walmart. Meijers stores have been around a lot longer, but that's not a good thing. I like the Walmarts because of their design, they are much more open and bright where Meijers feels darker and more cramped.

It took me a while, but Walmart is the store I finally got the courage to go clothes shopping for myself. I thought I would get all kinds of awkward stares, but the employees were nice and smiled even as I'm loading rainbow toe socks and multiple colors of stockings, a blouse and a few skirts and pants onto the checkout.

Walmart is over rated. Everything is really cheap, but a lot of things just break after a little while. The people are too crazy there! Impossible to park or even check out. Way too crowded.

One time I did get called a lady, but I was confused because I had a full beard growing. I guess the employees just don't use their brains anymore. Mindless drones working to provide cheap, junk to the masses. wow

And don't forget the evil part. It's consumption hell. If there is a hell for me, I'll be a WalMart employee...forever in polyester pants and that evil smiley face like Big Brother watching everyone, making them all smile vacantly...

I'm boycotting Walmart (not that there's one in NYC anyway), they have a long history of mistreatment of LGBT people and employees in particular. If you haven't heard about this, just do a little Googling, you'll see what I mean.

I don't really dislike Walmart, it's just that you have to be careful, because not everything is of good quality. Some of it is just cheap junk. Some of it works and there are no problems.

Hi, BlackSparkles.    Nice to meet you.  So sorry that you are alone; you and I are neighbours, at least.  Please feel free to join in any of the discussions here.   Regards, Kathy

Ivy, that's probably excusable for someone who isn't trans; it could be simple ignorance.  But when it comes from within our own community, it is kind of shocking.    Hugs,   Sally

Thankfully, Ashley she didn't return after that one time.  I have the conference organizers to thank for that, as they push inclusion and acceptance.  I like to think this particular person got the message about her views being bigoted.  Of course it's possible she took her message somewhere else, where she wasn't challenged.    Davie, you are too kind.  Hugs to you my friend.

Mae, I would be happy to share the PowerPoint presentation I used with you or anyone anyone who think they could benefit from it.  Even though I presented at Keystone, the content is still mine.  Perhaps I could post the material here or make it a blog.  Interestingly, the conference organizers always pick a wide variety of topics to ensure there is something for everyone.  The workshop committee used my presentation (and others) to ensure the workshop didn't reflect only transition related topics.

I am curious if anyone else has had an issue wearing panties.  After awhile I find that my dangly's tend to get a bit sensitive after a few days of wearing them and I'll stop for a while so they don't get sore. This is so annoying, I want to wear panties more often. I have tried going up a size (which helps, but not alot). I've also seen a doctor, he said everything is well.  Any advice would be welcome

Hello everyone.  My name is Tracey.  I'm extremely open minded.  I'll just say that.

I have not been in a discussion group in years. Please bare with me.    I'm considering FFS Facial Feminization Surgery and breasts enlargement. I'm 58.   I am in Canada and planning to go to Montreal for the FFS.  I am 58 but didn't transition until I was 46. My idea for me and my body and mental health is to be and look more feminine.    I believe that the FFS and breast enlargement is what I need and want. Sure my age is a factor but not for my mental health but for the physical.  My health is not the greatest. But not bad either.    I have had my bottom surgery February 15th 2017.   I lost every one in my life from abandonment to death. Much more in between.  I am alone in life. My daily life consists of waking up playing my games then tv then bed.   I want to adopt 2 kitties. But if I'm to do this surgery I don't have a single person who can help. So this makes my life more difficult.  Please stop by to say hello. Tracey

I’ll bet you didn’t know that South Carolina has at least one and sometimes more earthquakes every month!  And no fracking here.     No wind mills either.  But for some reason we make a lot of ethanol.  We grow more trees than most but it’s all for paper and pole use. Cash crops are still cotton and tobacco.  Used to be a big producer of rice now it’s more of a unique crop, Carolina gold.  Pecans and peanuts are big too.  Lots of fruits and vegetable farms.

If your back hurts when you cycle you ought to consider getting your bike professionally adjusted at a bike shop. They will measure your body proportions, stride, knee angle, etc. to determine how best to adjust your saddle and handle bars. Sometimes even minor adjustments can make a huge difference.    Unless you have health-based restrictions, I'd say ride as much as you like. But as stated above, first tIf your back hurts when you cycle you ought to consider getting your bike professionally adjusted at a bike shop. They will measure your body proportions, stride, knee angle, etc. to determine how best to adjust your saddle and handle bars. Sometimes even minor adjustments can make a huge difference.    I used to be an avid cyclist. Not into group rides or speed, but I used to ride by myself for hours. It's very enjoyable. If you're looking to improve your cardio health, get a fitness tracker like a fitbit which tracks your heart rate. I do have health issues and for that reason no longer ride on the road. But I converted my bike into a stationary bike very easily with a magnet powered stand which was about 50 bucks. My physical therapist gave me a HIIT (high intensity interval training) schedule to follow tailored to one of my health issues. My case is specific and unfortunately it's a challenge for me to balance getting enough cardio exercise without pushing myself into post-exertional malaise. But I can share with you a general guidine to try to amp up your cardio tolerance.   Determine your "recovery pace" and "base pace" heart rate. There are guidelines online you can find to figure that out based on your age, weight, and other qualities. Then track your heart rate as you ride and develop muscle memory for how much exertion corresponds to those paces. For example, base pace should feel like effort, but not strain. Recovery pace should feel easy, but like you're still in control of propelling the bike. In this way you'll develop better intuition for your bike's gears, especially at different inclines.   Give yourself a 5 minute warm up to get your heart rate to the high end of your resting pace. Then alternate base pace (effort but no strain, keeping your heart rate within a higher range, but backing off if it gets too high) with resting pace (allowing heart rate to lower, but maintaining it just below the low end of base pace) in 4 minute intervals. Finish with 5 minutes cool down allowing your heart rate to lower towards the lower end of resting pace. If you try this type of HIIT routine, your basic workout can be 5 (warmup) +4 (base pace) +4 (resting pace) +4 (base pace) +5 (cool down) =22 minutes. Try it twice a week. Then as you develop endurance, add another 4+4 (resting followed by base) min pair before the cool down.   I hope you are able to get your bike adjusted to be pain free & learn to enjoy cycling and enjoying better overall health.

Well my day at work is done.  It was a beautiful day here so far.     Yes @Mirrabooka the United States is noted for the tornados and extreme destruction they cause.  We have long wide open areas between the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains where weather extremes have a chance to buildup.  Even East of the Appalachians since those mountains are so old and eroded they aren’t very tall anymore.  Geologist say that early in the history of our planet they were as tall as the tallest mountains on earth but now few reach 4000 feet.   But they have no mercy for anything when they get going.   Our continent has just about everything, earthquakes fire floods hurricanes mud slides rock slides, hurricanes blizzards drought dust storms just about everything thing nature can possibly through at us.
