How Do You Hide Your Clothes?

I used to hide mine in boxes in a closet in the garage. The good thing was that my S.O. would have needed a ladder to get up there, so discovery was almost

out of the question.

Well, it depends on how much you've told your spouse, how ready you might be to come clean if your clothes are discovered, how big your place is and how meticulous your spouse may be.

A large attic can be beneficial as most wives don't tend to want to look into dark corners because who knows what might lurk there. A storage locker might be useful if you have the money available each month that won't be noticed. Sometimes, it just may help to go through your clothes and decide if some things are getting a little old and discard or donate. If you have your own car, (which I did until last Tuesday), the trunk - if garaged - can work.

I used to keep them in the largest suitcase - obstenably mine - until my spouse's one (slightly smaller) finally 'broke' and she decided to use mine giving me a smaller one. <sigh> In a sharing environment, though, it is difficult to keep secrets. Which is why for the moments we share, I have some things way in the back of a drawer, and my more dress-up things for my own moments usually put away, so others won't stumble upon them and my spouse doesn't have to think about them.

An inconspicuous backpack in the corner of my closet used to hide everything. Now, I have become bold and use the bottom two drawers of my dresser. Nobody does my laundry for me, so nobody will ever be there.

My wife has formerly injured knees, on which she wears heavy braces while playing tennis, which is still (one of) her passions, and she claims she can't kneel anymore, so I thought I'd find a safe haven for my 'things' up in a small triangle loft high up in the apex over the loft in our big barn of a garage. Well, recently while I was away on business for a few days she braved the kneeling and unearthed my 'trove' and unceremoniously binned the lot, nothing said !

As a reaction to this I have gone on an ordering spree and have decided on a locked large cupboard in my workplace to hang my things....there are some dersses on the way. That, I hope, will solve the problem.

I have a footlocker with a lock, but I worry about my brother finding out. He was interested in it at first when I got it and put normal stuff in it, but now he only mentions it every now and then.

My door is locked with a key, so even if he got into my room, it's doubtful he could get passed the lock. If he ever did get passed the other two, I would never hear the end of it.

He's a bit of a homophobe (I'm not gay but he wouldn't believe that if he found out about my crossdressing) and one of the meanest people you'll ever meet (out in public he's nice to people, at home not so much). He'll move out in a few months hopefully.

This is why I stay in the closest is because of him. He used to beat me everyday when we were kids and my mom was too much of a wuss to do anything about it. The beatings weren't severe (maybe halfway between play and real fighting), but he has made my life a living hell for a long time.

I used to share a room with my mom for a few years because we had 4 people with 3 rooms. She would sleep in the living room, but all of her stuff was in her room along with mine. So I had no closet space or a dresser to use. So I got this little rack to put my clothes on near the door. So my brother would come in my room (didn't have a lock since he broke the door that had one) all the time and grab everything on the rack and throw it on the floor.

When I got a new room, I had a lock on that door. But since the door was old, it took a bit of a push to close it. So my brother decided to "fix" it by taking a screwdriver and do who knows what to it, and when I closed it, it stayed shut. I eventually had to pull my hardest to get the thing open. After about 3 times of doing that, the door knob's middle thingy broke, so he blamed me for breaking it.

So with that door out of the way, he would always pester me. I couldn't even sleep during 9am to 10pm without him waking me up trying to mess with me.

I'm glad I got a new locked door many months ago. I had it before I bought my own stuff, so I can sleep in lingerie without worry if I want to.

I haven't slept in girl mode in awhile though. I need to do that tonight :)

I have a duffle bag for some of my stuff and other stuff I have in my drawers and hanging up in my colset. Now that I am out to my family, they know about my clothes but I still hide some in my duffle bag in the colset and in my drawers. But I do my own laundry.

But eventiualy people will find out about your clothes.

But take care all.

I am divorced and live alone right now, so my feminine attire is simply hung in the closet with my male clothing. Very convenient. If I have visitors staying overnight, I pack it all in a couple of suitcases.

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!

Three reprimands in a certain time frame? It seems like they should drop off the calendar after a period of time. How long can they hold a reprimand on the calendar?   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Congratulations on getting the go ahead with HRT. I'm so ready for my wife to drop her opposition. As for the mood swings... I would look forward to them myself.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Three reprimands and they suspend attendance for a couple weeks.
    • Mmindy
Good for the other participant. What's involved in a reprimand? At our age, what are they going to do? Withhold snacks...   @BirdieI'm sorry you have to put up with such discrimination's. I'm proud that you're standing up for yourself.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Associating LGBTQIA+ with pedophilia or "grooming" is a conspiracy theory as old as the study of psychiatry (mid-19th century) when early "scientists" theorized that homosexuality was caused by childhood trauma of having been molested by older men. Some of us have moved on and become educated since those days, but conspiracy theories have an uncanny staying power...the "power" of ignorance, including the titillation of scandal. There is some psychology about people being attracted to outrage and fear. Life is naturally dynamic and uncertain. Unless you have developed a transcendent mastermind, most people have some level of discomfort with that. Therefore, it is weirdly comforting to target a particular thing as a threat and to make a big fuss about it, whether or not it has any credence. And it is comforting to be one among a mass who are equally outraged about a thing, whether or not the thing is real. It is also boosts the ego to speak with vehement "authority" about a thing that is a known trigger for the masses. Like Vicky said, Dunning-Kruger Effect.   However prominent a movement there is or not of pedophiles claiming that their perversion is a sexuality (I have heard of that, but never as it being a major influence), it is the case that much of the viral spread of disinformation associating LBGTQIA+ with pedophilia is due to online trolls. Surely, there are loads of 'em. But here's just one reported story. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/posing-gay-men-twitter-troll-goes-viral-attempts-falsely-tie-n954721
