Things Are So Different Now

Well I don't know how many of you girls remember me but I was the one looking for support in trying to work up the courage to go out and buy things in public and I remember telling and showing you that I had. Well, here's a little update as its been awhile.

I now wear my female things all of the time at home, out on the town, the only place I don't yet do is at work. I live with my fabulous and wonderful boyfriend, he's been soo great to me ever since we started dating, I'm his princess :P and that man knows how to keep certain things consistently interesting if you know what I mean girls ;)

With all that being said, I've been thinking about going full out and working toward becoming a woman. What's everyone's opinion ??

It sounds like you are 70% of the way there already. Change your name and then tell work if that's what you want to do. Once you have changed your name it's off to the doc for contacts with gender services... Why change your name first? .. because legally that's all you have to do to start a full transition. It's taken as the starting point and my doc saw it as a statement of intent to step out of my old half and half life into a full time full person (I had a legal female name way before that, but done abroad and not accepted in my home country)

It's all up to you.. I'm sure the other Canadians can help you more than I can.

Hi Anjyl,

Hon, are you working with a Gender Therapist? You are going to need a carry letter from them after you have been diagnosed with GID (Gender Identity Disorder). Also, you will need your GT's consent in order to undergo HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). I think it is wonderful that you are making progress at understanding yourself and can express yourself the way you want to. I would recommend that you speak to someone professionally at this point in your journey. I think it is time for you :)

Hi Anjyl,

Yes, I do remember you and those cute panties and bra set. It looks like you're on your way already. If you're happy with yourself, you have worked out at least some of the things that might come up and how you might deal with them, thought and hopefully read about what transitioning is all about and the steps needed, then if you haven't already, you should think seriously about seeing a gender therapist who can help you come to a decision. And get you officially started.

Lots of people here are in one phase or another of the above steps and can give you lots of support as you continue on your journey. Good luck, and please let us know how you're doing.

Hugs

Anjyl, you've gotten some excellent advice from my sisters here. I'm sure you realize, if you've looked

through the forum posts, that transition is a process, and it usually takes time to do it right. You can

dress en femme in public if you choose, and of course do whatever you want in private.

However, you will need to eventually do electrolysis or laser on your facial hair, HRT, voice training,

and, if you desire, SRS. All this involves planning, money and time. It isn't enough to just say, "tomorrow

I'm going to be a woman" and then be one. I wish it were that easy.

I'm not trying to discourage you; I just want you to be realistic and understand what's involved.

I do wish you success.

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
