Some Intersting Things Going On In Sally's World

well let me start by saying that I still am feeling so very good about myself for the first time in my life and it seems that nothing can bring me down, so thanks again Donna Jean - you have no idea how much you have helped not only me but everyone that was having to put up with my depression.

Let's start with Saturday morning, I had an inspection of my AC/Heating system - it was acting oddly - well repairs were needed but as luck would hav it I had someone on Skype who knows a bit about the actual costs of the parts and she said they seemed to be honest so I have a working AC/Heater and a smaller bank account.

But I am not down, I went to play a long dance job and I deliver some photographs to a friend in the band at the end of the night he cannot find them and knows that his wife will kill him - they are for Christmas presents so he ran out to his car to look, I found them and went outside to try to find him.

He saw me waving the box and came over to get it (remember I am not out to anyone in the band so I am wearing a tux in full male mode) and he thanks me and puts out his hand and as I reach out to shake his hand he grabes me and gives me a really long hug - not a two second and quick taps on the back and break manly hug - a real hug so not knowing what to do I hugged him back, it was really nice.

Sunday I was working way too long at the mall and a friend who I worked with but have not seen for 28 years comes by and recognizes me, we talk and make plans to get together for lunch or something and meet his family and as he is getting ready to leave, he grabs me and gives me a really tight long hug - well I'm not a cold woman, I like hugs so I hugged him back and then we exchanged phone numbers and I gave him my website because he asked for it and then he did it again!

Am I giving off some sort of ultra fweminine vibe that is effectinng these men or have they just gone crazy for the holidays?

I hope it is the former because I don't really want it to end.

I went to see my therapist Monday - she is ready to write "THE LETTER" for me - the one for SRS!

Now it is just a matter of getting some money!

I then decided to treat myself to a meal out - I don't go out in female mode as a rule just to my therapy sessions but I had an appointment with my Endo so I went to a restuarant and order my meal and sat in a both by the window to eat, everyone was very nice to me,

Then I got a perfect check up and an increase in my Estrogen dosage!

Can things get any better - it would be great!

Love ya,

Sally

Hi Sally!!!

Congrats on this. It is AWESOME news. I have a question though. I thought you have to live full time for a year before you can get a recommendation for SRS. Can you get one without living in role?

That's wonderful news, Sally. Yes, I would wager that you're giving off some feminine vibes, all right.

Nothing wrong with that at all! The more hugs the better (and the longer).

I love seeing you in this good place you're at, Sally. You are such a lovely woman, with so much

to offer everyone. You deserve happiness and now you have it.

So, now that the E dosage is going up, can we look forward to a Dee Jay-like fountain of tears from you too?

I hear that Dee Jay is building a moat around her house and you know where the water is coming from

to fill it, don't you? :P

Keep the good news coming, sweetheart. I can't get enough.

HUGS

Hi Sally! It's great to hear you had a great day with lots of <HUGS>! Yay! Hugs are a great thing.

Congratulations on "the letter"! and the upping of the E dose. I cry much more at my current dose (I've been watching a lot of romace tearjerker movies on netflix and I've been flooding the place), but I like it and consider it good crying. lol.

Well of course you may ride with me and this time I won't fold you into the back seat of your rental car.

OK! Hands out of the hormone jar, Missy!

Actually you have to live a year in your target gender before the SRS but the letter can be written when ever your therapist is satisfied that you are ready.

So, now that the E dosage is going up, can we look forward to a Dee Jay-like fountain of tears from you too?

You might ask Jean Davis about that I tried to read a Post to her and I had already read it but I started crying anyway.

I hear that Dee Jay is building a moat around her house and you know where the water is coming from

Actually they live in the country and collect rain water so Darcy doesn't want her to stop! :D

Thank you all for your kind comments, I will do my very best to stay in this good place - I like it here.

Love ya,

Sally

That is so much great news! Seriously, as I was reading your post, I was there thinking "well that's good...and this is good too...wait and this is also really good...this is getting to be a lot of good things..." I'm so happy for you!

The hugs thing -- maybe the HRT is starting to kick in subliminally for them even if they haven't consciously registered yet that you're a woman? Either way, that's good for you.

And congratulations about the letter and the higher dose of E! The letter is such a huge step for you. Now, no more of this AC/Heating problems, right? I think if you talk to the machines, sometimes it makes a difference. You'll get there -- your persistence and patience has gotten you so far already.

Congratulations again, and I hope things keep going your way,

Pól

No one that hasn’t gone through the self perceived shame and guilt about the feelings we’ve had cannot understand 1. Why we need a therapist we trust. 2.  Why we suddenly need to talk to them. 3. Why things set us off and throw us into a bout of extreme depression.  4. Why we feel threatened even when we aren’t in immediate danger.  That threat may be only in our mind but it’s our need for reassurance.

Be careful about software bundled with your antivirus! Most likely they are using it to spy on you. As far as I know the only 2 VPN providers that actually protect your data (and delete it as soon as possible if they keep anything at all) are Proton VPN and Mulvad VPN - the latter one actually had their servers stormed by law enforcement and they walked away with nothing (cause Mulvad had no customer data to offer). I would avoid antiviruses altogether tbh, they're not a magic cure for internet safety and the built in one from Microsoft does its job well enough. If you're not on WIndows you don't even need one - just be smart about what you download of course.   Your web browser asking you to turn it off is probably because the browser would prefer to know your real location, just ignore it or pick a better browser, like Firefox.

It was stupid of me, the cop was in front of me in a u-turn cut in a spot I know about. I was running a little late because of the slow truck, and the cop happened to be there today. It is like one of only three places for a speed trap on my commute. I usually don’t speed as I try to leave enough of a time buffer in the morning.

The worst possible scenario is 4 points on my license, which a defensive driving course will negate it. I had considered getting a lawyer, but it is probably not worth the expense.
    • Ivy
Yeah, I was puzzling on that too…

Good luck maam 😊 I’ve experienced that they’ll lower the points , if you show up in court and pay the ticket.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums Mealaini,   Like you I knew in my preteen years that I was meant to be a girl, but didn't have any way to bring it up in the early 1960s. It was the expanding news outlets on the telly that allowed me to understand that I may not be the only person who felt this way. Wow was my mind expanded once the internet became a reasonable research tool in the 1990s.   My grown daughter (42) is nonbinary and atheist with pagan leanings. So when I came out to her she was thrilled and wanted to dress me up and show me the world. Well I think she wanted to show me to the world. My son (45) is evangelical christian and very upset with his sister for many reasons. However he's a reluctant supporter of me as transgender. I'm out to my wife and we've been married for 48 years this June, so I'm in a very late in life transition.   The other thing that has me going down an internet rabbit hole is your location. It clearly states United Kingdom with a sub flag of Illinois. I've searched the web and can't seem to locate Illinois, UK. Am I missing something?    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Thank you for sharing, @Mealaini, and welcome.    I appreciate your description of IFS and your book recommendation. I have a few close friends who are very enthusiastic about IFS and my therapist is incorporating some of those elements into my therapy.    -Timi

Leg hair.  Shaving it was a surprisingly big decision.  (Not as big as the beard tho)  After I did it a few times, it's never really grown back.  Haven't shaved them in a couple of years and you'd never know it.  A daughter living with me doesn't shave hers, and she is much furrier than I ever was.     I don't exactly hate my living as a guy in the past.  TBH, I was never quite there anyway.  But I just dropped it.  I live full time fem, and it would bother me a lot to go back to being a guy.  But I don't have to appease family or an employer.

@Loreleiit always sucks getting a ticket for passing a slower vehicle. I'm guessing the police officer was some distance behind you until you performed your passing maneuver. My most costly ticket was from a similar situation, however we were heading out of town and the last straight stretch of road to pass the two slower vehicles ahead of me was still in a 35mph zone. I didn't see the officer behind me and as soon as I pulled out to pass he turned on his lights and siren. Since I was in the process of passing, I figured the next safe place to pull over was at the upcoming roadside park. He didn't accept that and wrote me up for passing two gaps, speed in excess of 15mph over, and failure to stop. He did not care to hear about any fellowship in public safety, and no professional curiosities would be honored.  I did go to court plead my case and the judge, and he did see my point of continuing to pass with the intentions of pulling over safely at the roadside park. He was very familiar with the location. This allowed him to drop the failure to stop charges, but I did have to pay the full 15mph over speeding ticket. So my lesson learned was to never pass when entering or leaving a small town or village.   Hugs, and good luck in court.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
