Hi

I am a danish transsexual. (female in a male body) I am new on this site, and I want to meet other people, that are facing the same. I do nor want to call it a problem, because I do not see it as a problem. I am happy to be a woman, and I am glad that I'm not a man.

However it would be nice to learn from other trans persons.

I am planning male to female surgery, an would like to know more about clinics and skilled doctors.

Hi Jeanett, welcome here! Hey I'm new too, only joined today haha:) im in europe too and I call myself a female in a male body (a realization I came to only recently, I'm in my late 20s, I don't cross-dress), but I'm very afraid of surgeries and permanent body changes, and sometimes I doubt myself or think it's just a phase etc but my dysphoria doesn't go away. I wonder if there is any way to feel happy with the body I've got and the gender I sense myself to be.

Good Morning Jeanette (well it is morning here in Texas)

First I would like to invite you to come inside and have a seat in one of our comfy chairs, a few of us long time members sort of have our favorites but none of us mind if someone else sits in them, we are family after all.

Now would you like to have some of my famous cookies and hot coca that Donna jean makes or would you prefer a fresh baked Cinnamon roll and some hot tea - I have plenty to share.

Just relax, kick off your shoes and wait for the forums to come to life as the sun touches each new timezone another member or several will arrive to meet you and not just for the food either.

Welcome to the friendliest place on Earth little sister you are part of the family now.

Love ya,

Sally

Welcome Jeanett!! So glad you are here and do make yourself comfy with your new family! I want to say to you and to Disdwarf that there is infinitely more to being a real woman than the genitalia we were born with, my little darlin's!!!! Whether surgery is in our future or not we _are_ women. It is about being the woman that we were born to be and expressing our womanhood in the countless (and often little) ways we can regardless of our circumstances or where we are in our transition journeys.

Welcome to Laura's, Jeanett!

I think you will find that we are all in agreement with you, that being gender-gifted is not a "problem." But it is something that requires action,

and you seem well on your way to doing something about it.

You have questions, and we have answers. Please look through the MtF forums, and the forums on HRT and gender reassignment surgery for

specific information. We aren't doctors so we avoid giving medical advice here, but you will find information based on member's own

experience.

This is a moderated site, so if you would take a few moments to read the Forum Rules it would be appreciated. The link to the rules is at the

top of most of the pages.

Enjoy your stay here, ask your questions, and find friends. That's what we are all about.

Dear that's really so true, and hey I can sometimes see the funny side of it too: we're the ultimate impersonators LOL, unless we tell someone or we allow them to suspect something from our behaviour, interests or clothing, everyone thinks we're something we really aren't haha!! I know it usually hurts but when I'm in a better and more stable mood I can actually laugh with this idea:))) It feels like being children playing "I hide, you find me!" games and nobody can find us LOL:)

:D Hi Ricka

You are absolutely right. One do not become more woman after a surgery. I Know that perfectrly well. I have been a girl / woman for over 60 years, so I know very well all about it.

I have just reached that point, where I finally want to have my shell to comeply with the woman I am.

I have through many years been active. I wrote letters to magasins and newspapers. I have been in same with photo and my story - even from way ago, where other people don't want to have anything to do with such a freak, where I've lost so called friends. I have had my fights.

Strange that one have to undergo so many hard moments just because you are a femalle??

I hope to talk more with you in the future

Hi DisDwarf

I am happy for your kind message. I must tell you. If you are not sure baout what you are. You must not undergo aby surgery, that you will regret. Live full time as a woman and wait untill yoy a certain. There have in the past been many persons, that had sexchange operations, and after a while they found out, that they just liked to dress as a woman. They were not woman at all.

Look foreward to talk more with you. best wishes

Hi Carolyn Marie

believe you me. I have through many many years taking action. But sometimes I feel it's like hitting a pillow - nothing happens!! I anyhow still keep fighting in order to make life better for transpersons in Denmark (The law still consider us as ill person and we are not allowed to tha a female firstname (MTF persons) or a male first nam (FTM persons). You arte not allowed to har a cpr nuber that comply with the person you are. Females have even numbers and male ahve uneven nubers.

I will join the forums you mentioned. And I promise to read the rules first.

Jeanett: you mentioned that you are planning on SRS. Have you seen a gender therapist and gotten a diagnosis of gender dysphoria or GID? It

probably is different in Denmark, but here you have to have seen a therapist and gotten approval before SRS is allowed.

It sounds like the rules of the game are strict in Denmark. I would be interested to know more about that.

Hi Carolyn Marie

I am seeing a gender therapist, an d I have during many years been aproved as a person with Gender dysphoria ( In denmark we name such a person a transsexual)

I am also in a therapi with female hormones given by my gynaecologist. I have breastimplant for more than 16 years. I cN say, that I really am a woman in a mans body.

In Denmark there is only one clinic, that can approve a sexchange operation. They require, That you go to therapy for several years before an operation. In Denmark this clinic ar more an opponent rather than a coplayer. They more or less telle you: "Look in the mirror. You look like a man - then you are a man !!!"

It is hard to be a MTF and a FTM in Denmark

Jeanette, I'm sorry to hear that things are made so difficult for transgender people in Denmark. I think folks here in America have the impression

that Europe is so much more tolerant and with near universal health care, everything works just great. Sorry it isn't so.

But you know, many of us here at Laura's don't think of themselves as women in men's bodies if they haven't yet had SRS. We think of ourselves

simply as women in transition, and with ongoing HRT and breast implants, you are further along in that transition than many of us. So, think of

yourself as a woman who has not completed her transition yet. That might make you feel more "complete."

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.

No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )

Welcome @AmandaJoy, It’s a pleasure to have you join us here on the forum. It does seem much easier to suppress this understanding of ourselves until one day, it’s not. It all suddenly hits you like a ton of bricks. Those puzzle pieces all suddenly seem to fit and there’s no going back. Like you, I waited until I felt there was no other choice. It was now or never! Never having the opportunity to be myself in this world was not going to be an option.   Words of wisdom there. Many of us try to make up for lost time or try to get results faster than a cis puberty but it just doesn’t work that way as you’ve learned. It’s difficult waiting for the changes but the good news…eventually you’ll experience many of them and the joys that come with those changes are wonderful and exciting. But like most good things, they take time. And sometimes it’s helpful things don’t happen overnight. Especially if you have others that need time to adjust to your physical and emotional changes.   I wish you the best on your continuing journey wherever that may lead you. I think you’ll enjoy this forum as there are great resources, advice, and people here that make it what it is. Hope to see you around.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

I enjoyed my Saturday moka-pot coffee this morning while doing something I love: processing astronomy images.  I didn't stay up late to watch last night's spectacular aurora, but my all-sky camera did, taking pictures every minute.

Good morning.    I did not try to see the sky last night.  We watched tv and went to bed.  Cooler but dry this weekend it was 58 when I got up this morning.  Sorry Kymmie, no chance of white rain here. Although there is always a chance of hail.  Fortunately, the storms stayed west of us and dropped their golf all size hail elsewhere.  I do feel bad for the people that got the hail as that was in a poorer part of the state.   Even the county we live in is quite large and has socioeconomic issues that range from wealth to below poverty.  Very few good middle class jobs and a number of them are closing their doors every year.  Most workers are some way connected to hospitality and travel.  We are beginning to see some internet based jobs as the latest under sea internet cables to South America and other places are coming ashore here.  But they are not connected yet.  We have a rail line but it stops at the innercoastal waterway. The bridge was damage in a hurricane and there just wasn’t enough traffic to justify Corman spending the money to fix it.  So it is permanently in the raised position.     @awkward-yet-sweet I’m glad you got to spend some downtime away from the every day at home.  I can’t imagine how a household that large operates.  And I do think you deserve an upgraded commercial kitchen.  But,  you wouldn’t all be able to live together if you spent money buying new to you things instead of fixing the old with so much talent at home.   Well, I hope to spend time creating the outline of my paper today.  I’m sure I will have to refine it a couple of times before it is completed.   enjoy your weekend    willow
