Weight lifting: One hardback copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in one hand, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the other.

Push ups: Motivation that I may read 10 pages of Family Compo or Love Hina for every 10 push-ups in a row I do. I try to finish one volume a day.

Sit ups: While watching History Channel, 10 at the very least every 5 minutes.

While typing on the computer, doing squats.

It's only been a week, but I already feel stronger, and I am still skinny as heck--but I look more 'tone' and less 'Bridgette' (from Guilty Gear.)

Keeping up something easy enough like this for me to do, and adding on gradually as I go. Maybe the key to getting results is to make up a plan that suits your interests.

Oh, and running around the backyard with the neighbor's 5-year-old boy teaching him how to play Star Wars. He knows I'm sort of a girl (because my mom told him) but--he's calling me his 'big brother' and even asked me to be his best friend XD Keeping up with a 5-year old is tough, but fun. He doesn't have a bio-big-brother, so someone has to teach him to play soccer or throw a rock or catch a bug.

Kids that age don't see gender, they see the guy who tells them that by the time they're my age, they'll be able to pay a couple thousand dollars and go into outer space just like Buzz Lightyear--and think 'whoa. Really?'

Ordinary daily things can be the key to getting in better shape!

Hi Neuro,

I think that is a great idea to incorporate exercise with things that interest you. It makes it more fun and helps keep people more motivated to keep doing it. Don't forget a good diet and protien are needed to build those big muscles.

I don't weight train much at all anymore because big muscles is something I don't want. However, all I do now is run while listening to my ipod. I know running for most is kind of boring, but for me I've been doing it for so long that it has become part of my routine. I feel bad about myself if I don't go out for a run at least twice during the week. Kind of weird, or I've gotten addicted to what some call the "runners high". :) Good luck with your training. I like seeing people getting into physical exercise and being healthy.

Now that is the funniest thing I have read in a while!   I'm sure J.K. would appreciate the weight of her words being multitasked. Keep lifting!!!

Aw that's the cutest story or experience

I think kids are the neatest but I have trouble interacting with them. It's not that they don't like me, I mean they follow me around without even knowing who I am, but I lack that ability to be like friends with them or whatever.

That .... was amazing.

Don't know if you have a place to swim where you are, but it is great for building up muscle mass in the upper body. It also has a tendency to give people broader shoulders. Just something to think about.

OH!!! um, if you have issues being at the pool or whatever, you can wear t-shirts in layers and just say its to increase drag and bike shorts.
