From the ages of 3 - 7 I was always dancing...it was like my favorite thing to do...and what I would dance to was of course the music my mom listend to at the time....

She was telling me I used to dance to One More Time by Daft Punk a lot.. I love that song. ^^

Apparently I used to like Cher...because I kinda remember singing Believe a lot in the car with my best friend when I was little. xD

A song I really loved and danced to was You Spin Me Right Round. My mom loves that song...

And she told me about how she dislikes RuPaul's Supermodel....

She said I loved it so much and danced around like an idiot.

I love RuPaul. xD You better work!!! xD

And the worst part is....She had all this on camera...

But I lost all the home movies from my childhood. :/

Did you dance a lot when you were a kid? xD

Oh my God.....

This is embarrassing....

But, when I was small we lived in Georgia and when we got home from from school (off the buss) we'd go into the house and there would be mom ...standing there ironing and dancing about...watching Deck Clark's American Bandstand!

So we joined in, too...dancing like idiots to Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Neil Sedaka, Ricky Nelson and other great musicians of those years......lol!

Around the room we'd dance till it was over.......

Huggs....

I cannot believe that you are making fun of that poor man's name at least she wasn't watching the penis Van a small levee Show!

(That is Richard Van Dykke)

Love the word filter!

I didn't dance to my parents' music because Gregorian chant has no particular beat!

Love ya

Hah, yeah. I didn't either. The only thing I remember about my parents' music is that it was country from the 60s and usually had lyrics involving beloved horses freezing in the snow. Not very danceable. I didn't start listening to music until I was 16/17.

Also, the word filter made me snort.

Heeheehee --I love that filter.

Sadly, I wasn't exactly a joyful kid XD I never liked music until I got to be in the last years of high school. I thought dancing and singing were wastes of time, that there was no point and it was embarrassing. I remember my parents yelling at me for refusing to sing in church, or neighbors thinking I was standing them up because I wasn't going to learn the Backstreet Boys dance with them XD;;

--I just didn't understand what was so great about music at that young an age.

I think as a kid, I was more into doing dumb stuff like collect Star Wars toys, make grasshopper farms etc. But today, I love music. Even if my voice sucks, I like to sing. Dancing is cool, but I get self-conscious doing it for some reason... D: I'm not good at expressing myself in any other way but drawing, I guess.

(FYI, "You spin me right round" is one of the best songs ever to be song-ified, IMHO.) XD

My father was very into classical music (and probably still is, for all I know), so I could recite all of "Peter and the Wolf" along with the CD by the time I was six. I haven't tried, but I probably still know most of it.

That CD also had a recording of Britten's "A Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra," which I liked a lot as a child.
