What proof do we have T alters eggs from their orginal state?

I have researched and researched and found nothing that backs this statement up.

I have not read anything like that Chalen, what is does is cause something like PCOS (polycystic Ovarinan Syndrome) which can make conceiving nearly impossible. Once the T is stopped the body will reregulate itself and conception becomes possible again. Just as a side note one of the meds used to treat PCOS is Spiro, simply because of its Antiandrogen properties.

I think I might have PCOS. That or CAH or some intersex condition causing higher than normal T levels/hypermasculinization (mentally as well.)

What I mean by the mentally thing is I feel like my mind has already transitioned into "guy mode", there are things i say/do that just come naturally to me and then I realize it's a typical "male" reaction to something. A good example is inclination to repress emotionality, and being told that I seem level-headed, grounded, and try to stay calm/collected despite stuff I'm struggling with like anxiety, dysphoria, etc.

Anyway yeah, other than what was already mentioned that's all I know about T and ovaries. lol.

Whatever this is it effects the makeup of the eggs directly- supposively not the ovaries itself.

I don't know. Tried looking up what eggs are even made of and making an educated guess on and possible androgne receptor there but nothing so far.

Need to find Evan_J he said this. If he got his facts wrong! ha ha! wave pointer finger at him!

I've been trying to track him down for months - you would think that he would want to keep in touch with his twin - we shared a brain for a long time but since I seem to have it at the moment maybe he just cannot find his way back - it is very difficult to navigate without a brain!

I am not sure about the effect on the eggs but if it has completely reversible effects on the ovaries then the next eggs produced should be normal - the eggs are flushed each month and new ones formed so as long as the ovaries are functioning properly new eggs should be normal.

Not bad for a girl who skipped biology completely and closed her eyes in general science when confronted with frogs for dissecting!

yeah I was wondering about that when I read Sally's post. I don't know about this post of Evan's you're referring to... but I haven't heard from him in awhile and hope he's doing alright. You do have me curious now, though. I am a bit of a science nerd.... I often wonder if those studies about the majority of FTM's having an antigen that is normally only found on the Y chromosome (thus, not in female-bodied's), and vice versa for MTF's, are reliable and mean anything for the future of sex change surgeries, with the use of tissue engineering and stuff.

About the egg thing... well aren't sex cells just basically half a set of genes, with some jelly-like substances and receptors and stuff? I'm not sure the cells themselves have sex hormone receptors - it's the gonads themselves the hormones are targeted towards - thus why I said ovaries as opposed to the eggs themselves. But again I dunno. lol.
