We have many members from your home state, I however am not one of them.. I would die to be that cold for so many month out of the year. Besides I love to wear short skirts and dresses and what fun is that when it's 10 below.

I have always wanted a pink snow suite but, That would be hard to find in Maryland. We have lots of snow here today. So it look like Michigan I guess, a little bit anyway.

Hi CHandra, No, I'm not a Yooper, but I did do a custom t shirt for a man's wife that was a Yooper. They'd been married 45 yrs. He met her while in the Army up there.

Your post probably works better in the General Forum, since you've been here awhile and this is just a general question.

I would guess that in the UP, there are probably a number of people with gender dysphoria. But there's also a lot of trees and vacant land, with not many large population centers. Makes finding them a little more difficult, I would guess.

I've seen at least three or four people here from our Great Lakes state, but I can't remember if any others are yoopers.

Maybe there are some lurkers reading these posts and someone might be from your neck of the woods and will post seeing as there's a little more support possible now. I'll keep an eye out, since I feel a kind of attachment to Michigan (I was born in Illinois, came here 32 years ago). I've been to Munising, the Soo, and the western end (Ironwood, Bessemer), haven't been to Escanaba, but I've seen the live play 'Escanaba in Da Moonlight', so I'm a little familiar with the location.

I know how you feel, I've been looking in Virginia for anyone else. At this point I would be happy to even meet a gay person. The closest to a transsexual that I've met is a bi girl lol. It should be easier up there. If I lived in upper Michigan I would probably move to Canada lol.

Well, I was born a yooper (Sault Ste Marie), raised in the Land of Lincoln, became a hillbilly and moved to Arkansas, now I am back in IL and wanting to move westward. So I guess I am either a cross between a yoppivan, a hillakee, or a yankabilly...lol..and I vote republicrat and sometimes demolican. And if you can figure out what all that means plz let me know. Because other than really confused, I don't know what all that makes me...lol

You got me in the lower part of Michigan 3 hours from Detroit, an hour and a half from Chicago. It's cold enough down in the lower half though, I'm not setting foot in the UP.
