My Doctor Is The Best!

I have to tell you that my Doctor is the best. I have know him for six years and he is a wonderful human being.

On my last appointment after taking my blood pressure and examining me he said It's time to excelerate things  . He asked what my dosage was that morning and then he said I want you to double it. You want to be a beautiful woman and I don't see any reason to delay that anymore than is nesessary. Then he said he was going to add a T-blocker and that that should help move things along more quickly. Then he told me that he was going to be an honest critique of how beautiful I become. He was all smiles and so nice that I could not get over his enthusiasm.

I am very fortunate that my body is responding very nicely to the hormones and I have not become a crying basketcase as of yet. I have had some strange feelings in my breasts behind the nipples, I hope these are growing pains. :D This is very normal and I am very excited about what the next few months will hold for me. Now that 10 close friends have seen me as Amanda and my boss knows that I am trans the only struggle I have left is my children and that is going to take some time to work through.

I plan to work hard on my voice for the next few months or maybe even a year depending on how much progress I can achieve. My hair is getting longer and fuller and I have been able to keep my weight in the 160s for the last few weeks. I hope to be able to get into the lower half of the 160s this month. I have to make more time to work out and tone my tummy and legs.

Becoming a woman is hard work and the physical part is only half the battle. I have a boyfriend now and I have to work on acting more like a lady when I am with him. It is hard being in relationship with a man. There is so much that I keep feeling conflicted about. The sex thing is hard for me. I don't know how I am suppose to figure out when it should be YES and when it should be NO. I want to enjoy it almost as much as he does but, I want to feel valued on so many levels that there has to be more for me in our relationship

I will keep you all updated as things start to change for me.

Peace & Love Amanda

Amanda......

Wonderful post!

You are doing so well and your joy just shows through!

I remember when my HRT got doubled...I made me feel incredible....Mostly a mental thing, but awesome all the same!

You are steadily moving forward....

Now if you can get the kids on board, you'll be in business...

Good luck on that, Sweetheart.....You can do it, I know that you can!

HUGGS!

Amanda Sweety,

That is good news indeed, the T blocker will make it so the estrogen will be more effective instead of the estrogen fighting the T it can work uninhibited.

It can take up to 2 years to get a decent voice and even after many keep practicing, that is the key practice, practice, practice. Others that have good voices say it was not till they were full time and used their voices all the time that their voices got better, i am full time now and i will see how true that statement was.

Such great news, Amanda. I am so happy for you. There are so many wonderful things happening in your

life, it takes my breath away!

I love being able to share your joy and your adventures. They make me GRIN ear to ear.

My doctor put me on T-Blockers at the beginning (finasteride) so I hope to be doing equally well soon.

I think I'm just a month behind you, but of course this isn't a race. :P

You are so lucky to have a man in your life already. I hope your relationship grows deep and lasting.

There is a lot of things yet to discover. It really is a sort of adventure. I'm glad we can share in it.

There are many of us starting the journey this year, and I'm lucky to have so many wonderful sisters.

Oh Sis this is such great news, I'm so happy for you. It may take a little time for your emotions to be where you cry on a dime but the T-Blocker will help that. It's also neat that you've found a boyfriend already and remember you control the sex. We'll have to talk more about that offline. I'm praying your son will come around, just be there when he needs you that time will come I'm sure of that. I can't wait till we can get together for real so I can see how beautiful your becoming.

Love

Charlene Leona

My inner child likes to cuddle with Blahaj.  I know it's weird, but it works for me.

I'm not sure they can do this.  Not on line anyway.  LOL   Defamation?  Not that I personally know of.

Nice! I've found myself shopping around for astrophotography gear more than once but haven't taken the plunge yet. To close to a metro area to do it from my home.

It never occurred to me to be able to see them here in the south.   Maybe tonight if it's not cloudy.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.

No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )

@KathyLauren That’s absolutely beautiful. Love those colors! That would be so nice to see some time. I’m too far South to ever see these spectacular events.   Very Nice, Susan R🌷

Welcome @AmandaJoy, It’s a pleasure to have you join us here on the forum. It does seem much easier to suppress this understanding of ourselves until one day, it’s not. It all suddenly hits you like a ton of bricks. Those puzzle pieces all suddenly seem to fit and there’s no going back. Like you, I waited until I felt there was no other choice. It was now or never! Never having the opportunity to be myself in this world was not going to be an option.   Words of wisdom there. Many of us try to make up for lost time or try to get results faster than a cis puberty but it just doesn’t work that way as you’ve learned. It’s difficult waiting for the changes but the good news…eventually you’ll experience many of them and the joys that come with those changes are wonderful and exciting. But like most good things, they take time. And sometimes it’s helpful things don’t happen overnight. Especially if you have others that need time to adjust to your physical and emotional changes.   I wish you the best on your continuing journey wherever that may lead you. I think you’ll enjoy this forum as there are great resources, advice, and people here that make it what it is. Hope to see you around.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

I enjoyed my Saturday moka-pot coffee this morning while doing something I love: processing astronomy images.  I didn't stay up late to watch last night's spectacular aurora, but my all-sky camera did, taking pictures every minute.
