An Emotional Time

Sally

Well the day that I have waited for ever so long was today, I knew what it had in store for me and I was so eager to arrive at my therapists office that I left early - about an hour and a half early!

I sat in her outer office listing to peaceful music and enjoying the friendly surroundings and then the door opened and she said, "Hey, Sally - how long have you been her, Girl?"

I told her and she replied, "Someone must be excited."

We went in and she offered me a drink - I decided to splurge and have a root beer.

We talked just like always until almost the end of the session and then she got up and went to her computer and opened a file, an SRS letter, she inserted my file number for her reference and then my name in all of the appropriate places - Sally Michelle Jackson or Ms Jackson depending on the need.

She had asked me if I was going to have my name change before the SRS and I decided that I would like that better.

With my letter in my purse I headed to a nearby restaurant to have a celebratory meal - the greater (a rather short man) called me Sir but I didn't let that bother me today, my waitress was very pleasant and efficient, the server who brought my food was very polite and the cashier and I had a nice chat while she was ringing me up, as I was opening the door the greeter came up and said that he hoped that he would see me here again - so he redeemed himself a bit (much better than coming apart and begging forgiveness - this was subtle but polite - I can live with that)

It may not have been perfect but all in all it was only one Sir away!

I wish I could have been profound here but I just cannot seem to reach that level but I am crying a lot of happy tears!

Love ya,

Sally

I am so happy for you Sally. :D You really deserve this day. I can only imagine how you feel inside right now. You have to be on cloud nine. Maybe we can go have a celebatory lunch for you next week. We can even hold up your tea and water for me and have a toast to you for getting your most important letter you can have.

CONGRATS

Sally......

Sweetheart, I'm not gonna say anything funny or silly this time..

I knew what was coming today and I spent all afternoon at work preoccupied...wondering at what point you would actually get it in your hand.

I'm pretty choked up for you right now...

This is an awesome milestone....

And, guess which three girlfriends have their surgery letters now?

Biggest warmest huggest HUGGS!

Your GF....

Congratulations Sally. :D

But OMG an hour and a half in the waiting room? I don't think that I could have just sat there waiting that long for something that important, I would have had to do something to take my mind off of it for awhile otherwise it would have driven me insane. ;) Well I guess I would have been in the right place for that to happen though.

I wish I could have been there to help you celebrate, we would have had soo much fun. I'm soo happy for you. :D

YIPPPEEE!! WOOOOTTT!!

Hey, did someone say the magic code word - SRS??

Ah, I thought so. It was you, Sally! GRIN!

Sally, I know how much this means to you, to have that wonderful piece of paper. I am very, very,

happy for you, and I'm smiling ear to ear.

Forget what ME said, you can stay up there on the ceiling until Fred Astaire himself comes up there to

dance you back down. Relish the feeling. Enjoy it. You are that much closer to your goal, girl. I'll

toast my Coke Zero to your diet Rootbeer. "clink" :D

Love

I'm so very happy for you, dear. I know the kind of unreal cloud that must be around you right now, like everything is out of focus just a little and there you are, in the middle of it and all those things outside just matter a little less right now.

All the best for you as you move forward. You deserve it.

Ok, Sally.............

You've had a chance to sleep on it....

Did you sleep in your bed or float about the ceiling like an errant balloon?

Still good?

Good!

I'm not sure that's quite true.  If it was done by private entities?  Like most landfills here are privately owned, as are power plants.  I can't see a reason they couldn't be combined.    Right now, garbage companies in my area harvest the methane produced by the landfill to run their trucks.  The put all sorts of pipes in among the layers of the landfill to collect it.  Compressed natural gas (CNG) can be used with only minor modifications to existing engines, and many truck stops are adding CNG pumps as some fleets transition to it.    A fuel's usefulness is often measured in BTU's per gallon.  CNG has approximately the same BTUs as diesel or gasoline (138,000 or so.)  Pure ethanol and E85 have much less - like 76,000 BTUs.

Well, after a week on HRT, as many would probably have predicted, I've noticed exactly zero mental or physical changes. Patience appears to be the key here as hard as that will be after finally getting my transition moving. Guess I just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Hope that my first blood tests after two months will show hormone levels moved acceptively.

A therapist appt is a great place to dress femme, If you want to!   It also sounds like a great safe venue to speak softer and more feminine, if that’s where you want to go.     Not sure the rules now.  But if you’re seeking HRT you might have to show them something to convince the money system that your case is medically necessary.  Obvious feminine clothes and mannerisms displayed by a human assigned male at birth (perhaps this is you?)  could be check marks towards them pushing your case through.     Please be whatever brings you love for who you are.   I have pursued this all the way through obstacles, mistakes, humiliation, and pain. And I  am so so so grateful  Hugs 😊 🌈🌈

Puzzled.  My United Healthcare Medical Advantage DOES cover gender affirming surgeries.  The HARD part is finding a surgeon that's in-network.  If the surgeon is out of network, the coverage is 40%/60% (they pay 60%).    Sadly, the surgeon I'd like to have, Dr Russell Sassani, in south Florida, is out-of-network and requires full payment prior to surgery.  I'm certain that there have been insurance issues for him and others, in the past.  Most GOOD surgeons for trans surgeries don't submit insurance, though they WILL help you with the codes, etc.  Actually, he does accept some regular insurance and original Medicare.     Anyway, I hope you were able to get your surgery or at least closer to being able to do so.

Welcome Madelyn, glad you are here and best wishes on your journey!!   I started HRT about two months ago... Had my initial appointment in December... Other than a bra underneath my clothes, I likely didn't look feminine at all ... I was nervous as heck but the doc put me at ease...   Just be yourself... do what feels comfortable for you ... The pace is up to you... Remember, you are one of a kind and have inestimable worth...    EasyE

I have been creating a space to be expressive. It's def not completed yet, I have loads of ideas still. Thinking about re-painting, maybe a light pastel purple or light pink, with a satin gloss. Honestly I'm hung on which would look best. Leave a comment if you think it would look better pink or purple. This area is a combination Man-Cave / She Shack. This is my sacred space, I think it's coming out well so far. I love this room, it inspires my creativity. Tho, I think there's not much man left in the cave lol.

Then there is how FDR is revered, and the ridiculous reluctance of the left to ever say anything negative about Biden.  It destroys their credibility.  Obsessed with Trump, they ignore how much worse Biden is.

The title of this thread is highly offensive.

Oh…. Now I get what the transgender agenda is.  I missed it.   I just didn't realize he was running again.   Silly me.   I'm going to quit now.  I've already been an ass
