I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything, but I've recently really got into videogames when I bought a PS3. I've mostly just played Nintendo in recent years, but the games on the PS3 are amazing. I've been playing Uncharted 2 and Borderlands as much as I can. Anyone else here into the PS3 and all its splendor?

When I do have a bit of free time, I enjoy my PS3. Mostly I have been playing the Ratchet and Clank games. I can highly recommend them if you are looking for a good platformer. :)

My PS3 mainly exists to play BluRays, but I have really enjoyed Streetfighter 4 (my wife and I like beating each other up ;) ). As much as I am intrigued by FPS games, I cannot play. I get motion sick. I had this game Bushido Blade for my PSOne which was my all time favorite game. I wish they had a good version of that for the PS3.

I used to play my Xbox 360 but it's been quite some time since I've actually played a console game. I have enjoyed Dragon Age immensely. It's the best game since NEver Winter Nights 2 and Oblivion. :D

I love playing the PS3... Call of Duty 5 online is my favorite. I like first person shooter games. the violence and explosions help me get out a lot of stress. I haven't been able to play in awhile though because my PS3 hast died.

well if they just wanted a bluray player, i mean for a time it was both the best and the cheapest machine available.

it's still the best, first gen bluray players didn't support several new features including HDMI 1.3 whereas the ps3 just got updates. And the ps3 will be the only player to be able to support 3D bluray with just a software update.

personally i don't really care about bluray, I like HD, but prefer an mkv file

I get why they use it as a BlueRay player, but I know a lot of people who have PS3s but have only one game for it. And they hardly even play that one! It's a great value, but if you're going to drop that kind of cash I would assume that they would be using it as a gaming system first. I guess I just have warped logic.

My father actually bought it for me...he asked me if I wanted a stand alone bluray or a PS3 and I picked the PS3 because I like the idea of being able to play games even if I don't do it too often. If some game comes out that really appeals to me, I can play it. Plus, it is a very good bluray player.

Yeah but who wants to pay $30 for a video on a disc that is a closed format so programmers can't make their own players to play them with just a blueray drive in a computer. Not to mention the heavy handed digital rights management. I bid discs farewell about a year ago and moved on to digital streaming. For $10 a month I can record any movie or TV show that I can stream with Netflix onto my TV including some HD movies and play them back any time for free off my media center PC. Thats the future. Blueray is to film as Sony is to Kodak. All you need to do that is a HDTV tuner card with component and/or HDMI input for a desktop PC. It's all perfectly legal thanks to the time shifting precedent established with VHS. :D

Good thing the PlayStation 3 has games to fall back on. (oh the irony LOL)

Meh, to each their own :) As my story goes, I originally bought my PS3 to play games with my (now ex-) girlfriend over the internet since it was a long distance relationship. She already had a PS3, so that is what I bought, but it was nice to get a Blu-Ray player too. Don't get me wrong, I like certain types of games. They just don't make a whole lot of RPGs and puzzle games anymore. I'm looking forward to FF13 in, what, March?

And sure, BluRay can be expensive - but I only buy movies that I love and want to own, and since a lot of those are classics I find them on sale for $10-15 in my local Best Buy's random sales. It's worth paying a little extra to see them on my amazing TV ^_^

I'M A HxC GAMER!!!! D:< Well... I like to believe soooooooo....

I'm hoping to get a job and me and my bro (yeah... bad grammar I'm more important me being older XD) are gonna get the 360 for L4D2 (I have for the PC) so we can play together!

Sadly for me, Natalie, I am a collector of things. I like the pretty box and the extra features (which I watch!). I have a WDTV converter box for stuff I download, but I still like the shelf full of movies and CDs...I'm old fashioned that way, I guess.

I don't think I could live without my PS3!! It's my link to the internet. Yaaayyyy free wi-fi!!

HDMI hookup to 51'' plasma, I can surf in style!!

Since I can't afford to upgrade now - or even get cable - I'm really lucky that I this platform!!

I have one of the 60G launch systems that plays everything - PS1, 2, 3 games, CD, DVD, and Blu Ray.

I hear the newer ones aren't as backward compatible. :(

Gotta be able to play Parasite Eve 1 & 2. B) along with the hundred or so older titles I have.

Only 5 PS3 titles - Dark Kingdom, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Ironman, and Silent Hill Homecoming.

Would love to get new games but can't afford. Local Game Stop never seems to have anything good used either.

DVD's look much better on this platform - almost Blu Ray quality!! So I still buy DVD's, unless I find a good deal. Over 350 DVD's so far!!

On Blu Ray 9 movies - Replicant, 300, G.I. Joe ROC, Transformers ROTF, XMO - Wolverine, Harry Potter HBP, Star Trek, Surrogates, and 2012.

My PS3 is my entire home entertainment system and online connection!! :D

Luv Kat :)

Lol asking the right person,

2 PS3 with backwards compatiblity (first one had catestrophic over heat problem "Silly rookie mistake" sony replace it for FREE!)

3 PS1s (1 travel size)

2 Ps2 (1 deceasced)

40 ps1 games

100 Ps2 games

41 Ps3 games

(Gow3 limited editon PANDORA'S BOX)

(FFDI Winner of Signed Soundtrack of FF and MS and the FFandMS coin)

Honestly those are the numbers, unententinaly, O by the way ps3 will have "move" i think thats what is now called, its like the wii motion controller, but in my opinon better, Im hoping, lol, cant wait for dead space 2 cuz, Wiis dead space extraction will be exclusively on ps3 copy, it does show more promise than the wii. And i believe there is no calibration!

O god I could never get the dang wii to work. Returned first month!

In case anyone was wondering what my mistake was, Keep the vents clean and keep it in an open space! not a small tight closed in space were it cant ventilate well

When I get mine back outta the pawn it's going to be nonstop MAG. Assuming it's not completely dead by now.

Is anyone here going to buy the Move when it comes out? I'm going to have to wait and ask for it for Christmas.

I still play some PS-1 games on my PS3. But lately, I've been playing Devil May Cry 4. The graphics and control on it are amazing. I bought it on a whim, and I'm so thankful I did. This game rules.

I personally won't, never had any interest in those systems. I bought a Gamecube (or got it as a bday gift, not sure anymore) solely to get Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and later Twilight Princess too ofc. Now I have to buy a Wii to get the next one so I decided to simply not bother with it. Bit sad but I don't want another Nintendo console I won't use except for one or two games. :/

As to the PS3, I spent most of my time on it admittedly. Currently I'm enjoying Sniping in Bad Company 2, which I got for my birthday last month ^^. Also got BioShock 2 but it hasn't impressed me so far, feels like a cheap continuation of the first game. Its just so... samey. :S Got Mirror's Edge recently too which I just looove! Omg the theme song for it is like my favorite song at the minute. Listened to it for 8hrs straight at one point! :o

Other online games I play on occasion; Modern Warfare 2 (not much anymore), Metal Gear Online, Bad Company 1, Red Dead Redemption. :)

I attend a medical day-centre in Texas for needed medical services. It's religious oriented, so not gender fluid friendly. I of course dress 100% in female attire yet androgynous to keep both "them happy", and I really don't mind.    I of course am imposed rules that no other participant is bound by. The examples are the allowed size of my backpack, or how many visits per day I can see my Representative payee.  The gender neutral restroom use was a compromise that all off us have agreed to.  Not being able to wear tanks tops or shorts that aren't "Bermuda length" are other examples of where I am restricted more than any other participant. "Bra talk" is strictly forbidden, even though their doctor and occupational therapist were the ones that told me I needed support due to neck pain.    I found myself being reprimanded by staff three times yesterday for very petty details, and they have constantly pushed for me to remove myself from the program voluntarily. I am of course someone not welcomed in the program, but federal discrimination laws prevent them from removing me. They instead are just making life miserable with the hopes that I will leave on my own.

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑
    • RaineOnYourParade
My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.
    • RaineOnYourParade
This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

Anyone play war and order on their phones?
    • violet r
I can relate.  I have always played a female character when given the opportunity. Not really and reason except I just alway pick them since I was young

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.
