Hello Jarence,

Welcome to Laura's Playground. As this is a GP rated site, we cannot go into explicit sexual details. I seriously doubt that T would have much effect on the question you are asking. I would suggest seeing a doctor or therapist who has training in this particular field.

I shall correct you, then. ;) T alone does not do that. It makes your clitoris much bigger. That is pretty much it.

Without getting too graphic I shall tell you this:

Unfortunately, fixing female genitals to male ones is a practice that is nowhere near perfected. There are two kinds of "bottom surgeries", metoidioplasty and phalloplasty, and both have their pros and cons. Neither will result in a penis that is both fully sensate and completely sexually functional. So... there it is. There is a measure of simply coping with what we have that all FTMs need to take. There are a lot of other things you can do, which may or may not make you feel like a lesbian, but I'd think about it this way: If your girlfriend thinks of you as a man, you are a man, and therefore your relationship with her is a straight one, no matter what you do in the bedroom.

Congratulations on getting the T soon, though! :D That stuff is magic. (well, not quite magic, obviously, but in a lot of other ways, it's very impressive.)

I think ME means this is a PG rated site. :)

Also, welcome to LP!

I don't think I can be much help on the topic at hand though. My only advice would be is that sexual activity is about much more than insert tab A into slot B, although it may not be apparent in your younger years. Its kind of like a fine wine, it may taste horrid and bitter at first, but as you learn to pair it with other things you quickly realize that it alone is not what is enjoyable, but the entire pallet laid in front of you that combines into a symphony of pure awesome.

Unfortunately, as Charlie said, the two lower surgeries are very primitive currently. Until the surgery stops being so poorly done you can use a prothesis. Also, as Astro Liz says, there is much more to sexual activity than intercourse.

Well....I mean, there's a certain....erm...apparatus on the market by the name of "The Share." Look it up on any of those...*cough* special toy stores and you'll find it. A few of the reviews I've read on it are from FTMs who say it worked well for them. Of course, whether you can use it or not is kind of dependent on how much the dysphoria effects you below the belt...

I'm afraid that unless you end up REALLY lucky, what you have genetically won't really...become substantial, for lack of a better word.

Yeah it seems the best thing to do would be to work around it. Literally and metaphorically lol. And as has been said the procedures are primitive...keeping my fingers crossed that will change, like, really soon...

Depending on how much you want to spend to gain certain parts, and what functionality you want those parts to have, I may suggest looking into an Australian prosthetist's website called FTM Prosthetics. Choose from 14 different skin tones, length, function, realism (this prosthetist is VERY good), etc. A bit spendy, but the results will be somewhat heavenly, Sir. B) I am very pleased with mine.

Hi,

I think T will change you in that way that you want to have it more often and you want to do it selfish. I think that this is the big different between man and woman. You can do a lot of things to your girl friend without it. It is more the way you do it and will make you a man.

It is all in the head.

Greetings

Nelly

There are a few different versions, but unfortunately, none of them are STPs. What you do not get with STPs, though, is made up for in "quality", both aesthetically and functionally (sorry, though, it doesn't glow in the dark). :P It really depends on what you need. One excellent feature, though, is that nothing in it is metal of any kind, which should pass just fine through the new body-scan systems at the airport, for those that travel and don't want to be horrifically embarassed by an airport steward with a wand. Thermal scans, though...I don't know. ;)

Hope this helps,

Eck

Wow I didn't know about these products. I think of it this way: it is still less $$ than top surgery, for the same if not a greater value for me. B)

Thanks Eck!!

PS: Since they aren't available as STP's, can't you still make it into an STP the way a lot of guys make their own STP devices using non-STP packers? Or do they not work that way? lol.

You jerk...now I want a glow in the dark packer! XD

Given the almost hilarious variety of what adult toy stores have available, I'm sure I should be able to find one. I mean, honestly, how could any guy, barring one bent on realism, not want one that glows in the dark?

*google searches*

...nope.

I'll just search harder! :P

Hello @The Lake, Welcome to our forum. I’m intrigued by your introduction and would enjoy reading more about your backstory. We all have very unique journeys and yours is not one I have come across often. As you become more comfortable with our community, maybe you could share more aout how your gender identity evolved, what difficulties you confronted and endured and what some of your successes were along the way. Also, do you see yourself involved in a future transition of roles, presentation, social, physical, or something else entirely? There is never any pressure to share a thing here. So feel free to share as little or as much as you like. We are a very open-minded nonjudgmental group who enjoy learning new things from our members.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Welcome @gizgizgizzie, It’s nice to have you in the fold. We are a very diverse group so you’ll fit in just fine. Right now, society at large is getting bombarded with misinformation, bait and switch tactics, propaganda and lies so it’s no wonder no one can get it right. I don’t come out and explain things about my gender identity as much these days but when I do it’s amazing how little these people know about our transgender community in 2024.   Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I hope to learn more about you as you become more acclimated and active within our forum.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Speaking of hair days…for me, hair has always been the part of my presentation that had the most impact on my overall view of myself. It was much worse for me earlier in my transition. I enjoy experimenting with new hair styles so once in a while, I’ll end up completely redoing my hair because it somehow reminded me of my old self. Self image is a strange yet powerful thing and it take a lot of time and effort to change it.

I am working on a solo music project and I decided a few years ago I wanted to do female lead vocals. I’ve played instrumental music most of my life and sung as a male, mostly backup and harmony though, but very little lead. I never liked my male voice. People always clocked me as female on the phone so I’ve always had a more feminine voice. A little over two years ago I started training my female voice to sing and it has been a lot of fun, though I’m still not where I want to be. Consistency is my biggest challenge.    I try to make practice fun or I don’t stick with it. So I do a lot of singing along with my favorite cover songs…I use a vocal fader, and practice with a microphone, and often just record the blend with my phone to evaluate where I’m at and see what I need to work on. If possible I find karaoke mixes on YouTube where the lead vocal is removed and sing along to that.   I’m not sure I can offer much advice, I just do a lot of listening back and adjusting my technique and practicing until I like how I sound. Just a lot of practice. It will probably take longer than you hope to get where you want to be :) High notes will be challenging but every singer has to build up the muscles and technique and breath support and stretch the vocal chords and then their range will expand. My higher notes are in tune, but often sound strained, probably because they are. Some of that is tensing up in anticipation which I need to train myself out of doing.    I think “trans voice lessons” on YouTube is one of the best channels for tips and theory. Once you’ve found your singing voice and have that relatively consistent, pretty much it’s just working on technique, styling, articulation, range, like any singer would.

I sometimes look too critically when I look in mirrors. If I’m presenting as male, I think I look too feminine. If I am presenting female then I think I look too masculine. It’s very irritating! Sometimes I think I get it down right. I guess everybody has their good and bad hair days and such, though.

https://www.hrc.org/news/reyna-hernandez-latina-trans-woman-salon-owner-and-vibrant-spirit-killed-in-washington-state   This case is unusual, in that the victim was murdered in the U.S. and her body driven all the way to Mexico, presumably to hide evidence and confuse the authorities.    May Reyna rest in peace, and her vicious killer convicted and sentenced to a very long term behind bars.   Carolyn Marie

I cooked a breaded bone-in pork chop (seared in iron skillet then into the oven) an artichoke (w/mayo) and a frozen mac n' cheese that claimed it was "The Best Mac n' Cheese" ... and it was actually pretty good.
