So This Is Why Lgbt Isn't Allowed To Openly Serve...

So basically this US general says that the troops were unprepared, small and lightly armed, but just ignore all that it happened because gay people are allowed to openly serve in the dutch military. The soldiers were most likely straight, and I'm sure that gay people were the last thing on there mind when it happened. This is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard, there is no rational thought process going on. Let's just blame everything on gays...

Kaitlyn....

Thanks for putting that up....I was going to after I read it this morning, but, got caught up in work!

Yeah...just because they're gay they can't adequately serve...What a bunch of ...you know what!

One of the best combat pilots of the first gulf war came out as gay...did that make a difference in his service? NO!

Sometimes people make such stupid statements that you just want to take them and shake them!

You have to remember that homophobia is a true phobia defined as an irrational fear.

Do not expect rational behavior from someone with an irrational fear.

Do remember that we discharged a decorated combat veteran who was an Arab translator when we had too few already just because he was gay, as Jon Stewart pointed out we are apparently more afraid of gays than terrorists.

Homeland Security has issued a Rainbow Alert!

So sad that ignorance does not slow down one's rise to power.

Love ya,

15 years ago! He used an example from the past. What about those who have served in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, and CG - bravely! What of the mixed forces of women an men in the Middle East wars!

DANG

And some countries do not have a strong military mindset. Not to insult anyone, but WWI and WWII had many of these countries overrun by the German forces - because they were not the warmonger - defensive thinking people we are.

So I guess we lost in Vietnam because we allowed the lower eschelon of young men to be drafted (those who could not afford college or who's parents had no influential friends). Or was it the gays? Or was it some other minority part of society, the 'weaker' one making up the USA?

NEWSFLASH! Everyone is a minority if you look deep enough! We fight like tigers because in the USA we are a young nation bred from the frontier struggles, and just a smidgen above being insanely aggressive. In another hundred years we might sit and negotiate instead of bombing those poor proud people who disagree. Or we may become as insanely radical as those who fly airplanes into public buildings.

Maybe if one of those musim extremist pilots had been gay, he woulda just turned around and landed, telling everyone he was so sorry to have scared them - bad hair day!

Military thinking can be really unamerican sometimes.

"A Dutch defence ministry spokesman dismissed Mr Sheehan's remarks as nonsense.

He said investigations into the Srebrenica events by both Dutch and international authorities had never "concluded or suggested a link between homosexual military personnel and the things that happened over there"."

This is my favorite part by far! haha Guess he didn't really look around to see if somebody would deny his claims.

That's how these people opperate.....

They make outlandish, ignorant statements thinking that no one will call them on it!

Well, TAG! You're out, smart boy!

Have you heard of the "S*** Gays Didn't Do" project? It's a collection of (often hilarious) cards with rainbow background and text blaming absolutely ridiculous stuff on homosexuality.

One of my favorites:

I know this is a mostly serious thread but it reminded me of that and I just wanted to be able to lift the mood a little.

And as a former NATO Commander in the operational theater with such a failure he had no responsabiltiy to that failure?

Or was that why he was retired?

And being military, if my military had a weakness of any kind I certianly wouldn’t go around telling the biggest bully on the block what it was.

He’s full of BS.

Thank you for this, it made me laugh. What on Earth are the people thinking? Really.

I have to wonder if that's good or bad. We are definitely a warmongering and defensive thinking country, the United States. That's for sure.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
