I was online looking for something else entirely. And as I'm sure its happened with loads of others, I accidently came across a blog that talked about this:

It may or may not have been covered here/brought out but I thought if it had not that it should be as a matter of "exactly where it can go if none of us act on the political state of our respective locations. ENDA, affirmative action inclusion, all of those things.

It took me a while to quit feeling like I had to vomit after I read this.

For anyone who ever thinks "well, it'll probably be ok if I don't get involved/participate in "X", surely there'll still be enough others to do it:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;

Yes, I have been guilty of not standing up for even my own rights but that time has passed.

I have spent a lifetime hiding and feeling ashamed just for being me - I do not intend to watch yet another generation suffer as I have - it is time to speak up.

Thanks for bringing this one out for us Evan - we can never be reminded too often.

WOW that's just wrong. I can see the new job applications; Name, address, past employers, photo of your genitalia, signature.

Think anyone would apply for that company if they had everyone do it? If brains were gun powder the people in that company surely didn't have enough to pop their ears.

I sure hope that she wins her case and wins it big.

At least we've got people reporting these things appropriately like the writer of that page. Also, Evan, I LOVE the quote you used. I use it so often when I talk to people who are indifferent about any issues other than the ones that relate to themselves, as I've met way too many people who are like that.

I had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was reading that correctly....

I have e-mailed my representive on other ENDA matters and I will continue to do so......
