Losing That Fat!

Short story is: I used to have a somewhat belly, but I lost that just before I started with HRT.

The only place I really have that ewwy fat is actually on my bum and thighs. Oh yeah, there is still some of that fat left on the sides and my lower back, but my stomach is pretty flat (IMO). I used to run alot and play different sports, i.e basketball and I also swam when I was younger. So I actually have "well-defined" legs apart from my oh-so-wide-hips and the fat that's been storing there (it kinda started building up when I was 16-17~).

I exercise about 1h.20min a day 3 times a week, and I also do some easy stuff like crunches on sat/sun. I've started doing more lower body/leg exercises this month and it seems to be going well. However, I seem to be just building more muscle-mass than losing that excessive fat instead. I've cut my kcl intake by 50%~ daily (excluding weekends/and the days that I workout). I actually tried to starve myself for quite a while and that helped but yeah, in the long run I'll probably end up in a hospital or worse...

Anyways I was thinking of adding 1h cardio on the said day (mon, wed , fri) or in-between. Right now I just tone my arms but I'd like to lose those muscles asap, so if I just tone my arms (bi/triceps) will they stay beefy or get thinner overtime?

The starving technique keeps coming back because I watch my weight daily. And sometimes I just end up eating nothing... I've thought about eating those energy bars instead and stick to regular food on weekends only and it seems like a good idea. Now the thing is, I just want a somewhat shaped body so for cardio I'll just stick to jogging or buy myself a indoor/outdoor bike, because the gym is a no-no at this point....

Any suggestions? I wanna lose about 10-12kg (22-26lbs).

Cardio is the best way

Starving yourself is not good as it will shut down your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight in the long run...

Energy bars can be ok, but not to replace all meals... and be careful which ones you use because some can be high in sugar, which will not help you lose any weight.

I think the most important thing is patience, but veggies are also my friend.

I am not sure what you mean by toning, but what I do is superset exercises for differing muscle groups at 15 - 25 repetitions per set, which helps my cardio. This way I do not rest during the workout, and I emphasize cardio (resistance training 2-3 days a week and cardio most of the time). I also like yoga. ;) (I still have yet to look like Adriana Lima though  )

www.runnersworld.com has some training programs and tips if you like.

I also like womens health magazine

Thanks Davie! And don’t worry, I didn’t take it that way. It’s just such a big topic I can only hope to tackle it one bit at a time.

This is not uncommon.  I started out going to the therapist in androgynous clothing: from the women's department, but plausibly masculine.  What made it easier was when I started going to a trans peer support group.  Most of the people there were presenting fully feminine, so I looked out of place in my androgynous clothing.  The peer pressure made it easier to dress in skirts.   I started out changing in a gender-neutral bathroom near the meeting room.  But I soon started wearing skirts in the car to and from the meetings.   Yes, it was nerve-wracking at first, but I soon realized that no one was looking and no one cared.    You can do this.

In my last session my therapist is starting to suggest that I need to start exploring my gender identity in a more tangible way through wearing feminine clothing at least during sessions.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around her seeing me actually en femme.   I love and trust her, but the thought of being visibly feminine is scaring (and thrilling) me.  Is this a common thing in gender therapy?  How do I get past the fear?  More importantly, what should I wear?

I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.
