Stupid News Alert

I wondered whether this belonged in the religion section, here, or perhaps the "round file." I decided to put it here.

Those wacky Iranian clerics are at it again. This time they've blamed past and future earthquakes on Iranian women

who don't dress modestly enough. *sigh*

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/wi...,0,124687.story

You have to wonder if those guys are either as stupid as they sound, or think the Iranian public is. If Iran had stand-up

comics, they would have a field day. I guess they don't need geologists in Iran, as all natural forces are determined by

the presence or absence of sin.

OH......MY.......GOD!

Oh, well, I'm sure that Sally will be along any minute to blame me, too, for dancing on the table with my skirt pulled over my head and nothing else on but a couple of ankle bracelets!

Jeesh.....

Why do WE always get a bum rap?

Never Assume Dee Jay, I wasn't going to mention anything about that but you do feel guilty, don't you?

Shame on you - now will you stop dancing on tables with your skirt over your head and maybe Lizzy will stop going out gathering Mardis Gras beads?

This world is going to shaken apart because of you exhibitionists! :D

This is way too close to one of my favorite Fables for aour times by James Thurber - where the wolves knew that long eared carrot eaters caused Earthquakes and there fore went over and 'civilized' all of the rabbits.

The leaders of every country rely very heavily on the stupidity of the citizens.

Especially here in the good old USofA

Love ya,

Sally

PS Donna Jean if you did indeed have a 'bum' wrap you could pull your skirt over your head without causing Earthquakes!

My sisters say the Fundamntalist Christians explain that the Gays in New Orleans caused God's wraith - and He sent Hurricane Katrina!

I told them GOD must be blind because the 'Gay" section was above flood stage and didn't get flooded, but the poor African American section of Ninth Ward - about a thousand drowned. DANG, missed the target!

And the worst hit area was actually the Mississippi State coastline.

Apparently GOD cain't read maps either! DANG

So it isn't Iran, it's the religous intolerance there - kinda like here in the good ole USA.

"Please God - save us from those who hate us in Your name!"

There's an event being organized in response to this under the name "Boobquake..."

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=116336578385346

I might make a slight exception to my habit of carefully hiding all evidence of overdeveloped mammary tissue just for this... XD

Its a nice idea, but all the participants need to be located in one city for a good chance at success. Which begs the question of, what exactly are we

hoping to accomplish??? "hides under sturdy desk"

@Heather Shay thanks! 💗   For me, emotional healing begins with self compassion and acknowledging my feelings without judgment.   Setting boundaries to protect my well-being is just as important. Too many times, I’ve placed my heart in the wrong hands, and losing pieces of myself in the process can be deeply painful.   Healing, like everything in life, comes with its ups and downs there will be both good and difficult moments, but each step forward is a step toward wholeness.

I would suggest that you  call or visit your nearest LGBTQ Center for recommendations of safe nightclubs in your area.  I have visited your area and know that there are a good number of night clubs there that welcome Cross Dressers where you can meet the others in person.  You might also check with your Chamber of Commerce there in Ft. Lauderdale since they have encouraged CD conventions over the years even with your governors POV on things.

I'm a bit confused here. You say you're waiting to see the letter F on your birth certificate, yet you stated on your profile that Female is your birth gender. Would you be so kind as to clarify this inconsistency. Thanks.   MaryEllen

Finding out my legal name and gender change hearing will be on the 18th. I already did do the paperwork last month sending that in. Came in the mail today and cannot wait to see Jackie Lynn and the letter F on my birth certificate

Welcome to the forums, Michelle!!! I'm sure you'll find like-minded people here who will share information with you. Feel free to wander around, aske questions or just jump into conversations where you feel comfortable.   You may also want to drop by the introductions forum to tell everyone a little about yourself.

Hi Gloria,   I think it is so incredible that you are approaching this in such a positive way.  Heather and April have already made good recommendations, so all I can add is that as your relationship progresses, maintain open and honest communication.  I have been married for more than forty years and my wife and I attribute our success living with my feminine side primarily because of healthy and honest communication.  We have had a few rough patches over the  years but we have always gotten through them by communicating with each other.   I wish you and your boyfriend the best of luck.

Government agencies scrub LGBTQ web pages and remove info about trans and intersex people *This also includes disabling social media accounts that support about lgbt+ I hope we still have a place here by this Friday night.

Hi I new and just looking to meet like-minded people like me. I'm a straight guy that likes to dress up to the nines completely but have no other crossdressing friends or real women to do it with. I would love to find people near me to get all dressed up and maybe go out where that is acceptable but I do not know where and no one to talk to about it.  I'm straight so people like me would be great and genetic women also to help me on that journey.  Thanks Michelle

It is the easy, weak target, just like a beer can on a tree stump, or yes, the side of an abandoned barn.  Although more in line with the target practice used on the road side memorial maker to a murdered teenager from years ago. When we get enough meaningful laws prosecutions and jail sentences for batterers and killers of Trans people and that type comes to realize it, they sadly will go onto another marginalized group on any pretext they can find.

Today was fairly stressful at work due to an argument with a 19 year old co-worker. Mind you I've been at this company for almost 19 years now. But this kid didn't want to listen to me. He was ultimately sent home for the remainder of the day.... anyway I've been stressed all day because of it.   So I got home about an hour ago and started to eat some bugels. My wife bought them for herself. She gets mad and tells me to put some in a bowl so I don't eat the entire bag. I tell her I'm stress eating. She looks at me funny like and says guys don't stress eat only women do. So I say back to her maybe I'm a woman. She says what are you going to do  pull a Bruce Jenner on me? I say what if I do? She says I'll leave you then. Then she called me weird and left the kitchen with the bag of bugels and goes into the living room. I hear her talking to our cat Bella, let's stress eat some bugels together Bella...... lol   I say so you're mocking me? I tell her that's B.S.   I guess I know where I stand now.

The leg cream I use is Bional V-Nal.  Try it.  You only need a tiny bit.  You might change your mind about hiding your legs!   I've used it for years and dread the day they decide that brand has run its course.  I put it on about ten minutes before putting tights on.   It feels a bit oily for a minute or two but I use it really sparingly, and massage it well in, and it absorbs into your skin quickly.   I use it on my arms (if they're going to be visible, even through a sheer sleeve) and my neck, and feet if I'm in strappies or sandals.    On the neck it's never damaged a costume necklace, that I'm aware of, as some perfumes will, but I'd probably be a bit more cautious of using it if I was wearing a pricier necklace.  Generally, I swear by the stuff!
