Ok first I am 17 and I have been CD'ing on and off since i was about 13 but I have never put on make-up or anything like that. For me its strictly been clothes. But as I am growing up I am finding more and more that I feel less guilty about dressing and that I enjoy being in the clothes longer and longer. I am a closet dresser by the way not sure if thats important. This is the first time I have ever gone to a website or even looked into th real world of crossdressing outside my room so I am a little nervous  Anyway my main confusion is whether or not I should could with my dressing or just let it fade and stay with my girlfriend. I love her and ive been with her for over a year now. See the problem is that she is very accepting so she wouldn't leave me but I know it the relationship would ease its way into just being best friends again like we were before but on a whole new level of course. So any advice comments or even jokes to kinda calm my nerves would be appreciated :D thanks for listening bye!

Hey Caiti

Welcome to the family, so nice to see you. :P

Well, I se this is your very first post to our forums, :D so I decided to move your topic to the introductions forum so that you will have more people come to greet you. ;)

As for your question, I do believe that you should be true to yourself before you decide to get serious with anyone or at the very least explain to the person you would like to get close to what you are going through.

I know that this is not exactly what you would like to hear but if you care for your girlfriend isn't it the least that you owe her. To hide the truth from her will only lead to troubles down the road. Because what most of us try to hide usually surfaces in different ways because we aren't being true to ourselves.

I have come to see that through all my efforts to hide who I am that it usually surfaced in different ways that held me back from growing as an individual and sometimes hurt the ones that I cared for.

Hello, Caiti....

Welcome to the Playground!

Oh my...that's some really good advice from Jean..

It's true, Hon....Better to be true to yourself and save problems on down the line..It may not be the thing that you'd really like to do, but, it's best in the long run...

I wish you lots of luck!

HUGGS!

Thank you for the warm welcome :D

I know i should be true to myself but I don't know who my true self is. I dont know if I should look more into dressing. I'm really afraid that if I go that route but then find I dont like it, it may already be too late. Gah its all so confusing! haha

Read honey, read. ;)

Also feel free to ask questions and post replies.

And if you can't find your answers here then you can contact a gender therapist.

Don't worry honey, you have time. If your girlfriend cares for you she will wait for you, but you do have to explain to her. ;)

Heyy hun,

i read ur post and ima closet dresser too! Look, my opinion is, you have ta live within yourself before you can live outward. If cross dressing really is apart of who you are, and you deny yourself that right to dress, then your girlfriend wont be going out with you, she will be going out with a static image of what you think she wants. There's my thought of it ^^ hope it helps!

Caiti,

I've been pretty much a cd all my life (from age 4 to now, almost 63). And for the most part, it has never gone away. Even when I wanted it too. It's just something that's part of me, and from reading here and other places, a part of practically every cd'ers life. But it does ebb and flow, I can go for several weeks and not have much desire and then, whoop! I've got to do it.

I still dress privately (but I have ventured out on several occasions, but never near anyone), tho my spouse does know and we have tried to incorporate it into our private times. It wasn't quite the same. But having her know and accept it to a degree means I feel a lot better about doing it and about myself. And if I could, I would dress a lot more, but I can deal with the time available.

This is not to say it is or would be be the same for you, but from everything I've read, I'm fairly standard.

As others have suggested, seeing a gender therapist is a good idea if you've got serious questions and concerns. Even then, it's still for you to decide what you want to do. And if you have any questions, please ask. There are a number of cd'ers here that are quite happy to share.

Hugs

My kitty has a litter box, which she uses on occasion.  But she prefers to make me get up to led her out. I could install a "cat door" but I'm afraid it would be used more by the possums and raccoons.  I have had possums in the house more than once - even without one.

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
