OMG!

That was hugely INCREDIBLE!

WOW!

Hey Dee Jay

Aren't you glad you listened to your peeps? :P

And is it me or do others feel it too?

The destruction of Home Tree feels like 911.

Especially when the columns burst - just before it falls.

I feel connected to the Navi' moreso then.

For that IS their 911.

Luv Kat :)

Oh, absolutely!

And I connected so many things in that to life in general.....

What an experience that was!

I was totally stunned!

HUGGS!

I keep thinking about Avatar ;)

I was thinking of how wonderful it would be if someday they could actually grow a clone host body, and transfer my conciseness in to it like in the movie :D

I would of course want a female body :P

Hi Vanna

That sounds more like Surrogates.

A Bruce Willis movie that came to dvd about a month ago.

Everyone had the perfect body to live their life in....

but somehow forgot how to live life.

Another new release worth checking out.

As far as movie magic goes....

Send me into a Harry Potter movie!!

There has to be a spell to turn me into a girl!!

At least polly juice potion did just that in the books!!

Crabbe and Goyle had to be girl lookouts for Malfoy!!

GRIN

Luv Kat :)

This movie is like my all time favorite lol at first i was like oh i dont ever wanna see that movie, and that it looked too sci-fi for me, but when i actually saw it, oh my goodness lol i swear i watched it at least 4 in two days, that's like 12 hours of the same movie haha (: but i just love it so much, as a matter of fact, i might just go watch it again now :D

I love this movie especially for its plot... It made me cry quite a fews times while I was in the movie theatre... I felt a great connection to the people of Pandora... It was hard for me to watch it, it brought up the feeling of that is how my family was destroyed so many years ago. I am native and most of my tribe was wiped out in massacres and slaughters so for me I was glad people of Earth lost and the normal life of Pandora was left to be what it was always meant to be.

Bought the DVD - Wide Screen.

It was dark - surprised me - much brighter on the screen

Lizzy

I am resisting the urge to buy it til this fall when the director's cut with additional scene and behind the scenes footage comes out..but it's killing me not being able to watch it again :P

Melanie

You know what this is :P

What if this were real? I would love to live through an avatar. The tail would be cool, sure, and I'd love the agility, but I'm just thinking how amazing it would be to live as a male full time and go around topless without having to have surgery.

well as a man, but ya i think it would be awesome... only if it would be permanent (like at the end) and not just for periods of time.

Directing was amazing, effects were amazing and overall the movie looked great, but I was a bit disappointed by the plot and some of the acting, to be honest. I understand that James Cameron was most likely aiming at the mainstream, but I still found myself saying "oooh, come oooon..." several times.

Hmm... Well, I'm difficult to entertain xD

You mean blue cat people Avatar?

Yeah, I hated that movie. The CGI was good but the writing and plot were god awful. But it's James Cameron--go figure.

Hmmmm... funny, I thought i would hate it, but obviously from my earlier post i liked it...a LOT! As a matter of fact I just rented it and watched it today, granted I am not sure i enjoyed it as much this time, but it is still a fun movie.

PS what other Avatar is there? Certainly not that racist, terribly cast, written and directed Air bending thing

I had not ever seen Avatar - I know, where have I been hiding? (Right here!)

On my Birthday this past Sunday Lizzy took me to see it in IMAX 3-D - stunning visual effects and very little of the traditional 3-D "let's throw this at the camera" sort just the forest wrapping around you and the little seeds floating out into the audience - it was used so much better to supply the depth of the backgrounds from inside the amazing control room to the forests and the floating mountains (thank you Roger Dean for painting those so many years ago for the Yes album covers!)

Check out Roger Dean's art http://www.visualgallery.com/yes/relayer_large.jpg - you will find floating mountains, cities - giant trees even multicolored dragons with almost butterfly wings - then watch Avatar again and thank Roger for inspiring James Cameron and the artists over thirty years later.

Love ya,

Sally

When I first saw Avatar I told my daughter the concept for the floating mountains had come from some famous fantasy art but couldn't remember who had done it. Thank you Sally for answering that for me. I love Dean's art but had forgotten his name.

I envy you that experience. I think your IMAX may be the closest one to me!

Love

John

I liked Avatar. I even bought the survival guide for living on Pandora. I thought it was an interesting read. My main interest is in the plants the creators came up with. I love plants; even if they are just imaginary. They are still interesting. I'm a tree hugger!

This sounds intriguing. I loved the film and could look at getting the guide with any xmas money I may get. My Dad recently got Avatar on BluRay so hopefully we'll be watching it again soon. ^_^ Was definitely one worth going to the cinema to see though!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.
    • Ivy
This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!
    • Ashley0616
It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
