After Forever

Time for another edition of my band recommendation topic! Last time I chose a little-known symphonic metal band, Stream of Passion. Unfortunately not too many people commented on that topic so I'll assume that the band didn't fly too well with people. But I have faith that Laura's Playground has good taste, so I'm presenting another, hopefully less polarizing (or not), symphonic metal band: After Forever.

Thank you Anna, I like them. Symphonic metal is actually pretty good as opposed to, well, most metal. I own some Apocalyptica stuff myself, which broke me into the genre.

She is extremely talented, but I still prefer the Misfits...

Also, there is a certain juvenile pleasure to screaming "I ain't no gosh darned son of a pregnant dog..." at your audience then telling them to go love themselves....

Hi Anna,

Thank you for sharing some new music with me I am always interested in new artists. You will find that as you get older, your musical interests will continue to evolve and grow. You will still continue to like what you like today but you will also appreciate other styles of music that you may not appreciate today.

Case in point. When I was your age, I did not appreciate country music. Today, I really love country music I still listen to the bands I listened to when I was your age (now described as classic rock).

My music interests range from BB King, Wes Montgomery, Chicago, to Korn, Metallica, Zeppelin, The Who, to Keith Urban, Dierks Bently and Shania Twain. The list goes on and on.

I remember when the "sex pistols" came out (circa '78) I loved them!!! I remember when the Pretenders, the Cars, and many other bands debued.

I know I am sounding old, but hon before you even know it, you will be having the same conversation with someone too

Musical taste is very subjective. You will find that as the years go by, your musical tastes will broaden.

This band is great! I'm not really a metal listener, but there's something that makes them stand out... It's a shame that they broke up, really.
