I have been a member of Laura's since February of 2009. What attracted me to Laura's initially was the incredible love and acceptance that Laura's has for so many people.

What kept me here at Laura's is the incredible spirit of humanity that brilliantly shines here.

You may not even realize it, but your voices and energy resonate throughout the world.

The spirituality of Laura's is unparalleled. You all contribute to that spirituality.

Because of all of you, Laura's is a very special place.

It is your spirit that gives Laura's that incredible energy and spirituality

Incredible love and acceptance: This is what brought me to Laura's. I find that what you say is very true. Each person on this site does give to the spirituality of this site and that makes me happy. To see that each one of us contribute to this amazing site and that our contributions mean something is hard to find in life let alone a website. I agree, this site is amazing. Even if I have a truly terrible day(which seems like every other day *sigh*), it's good to know I can come here for comfort. Thank you all for that.

This site is something more than just a website on the Internet - they can be cold and heartless - almost like they never had a life.

Here because of all of the vibrant and energetic members so willing to reach out to each other and help any way that we can makes this special.

It is so much more than a website, more like a living organism made up of a lot of individual organisms - like a coral reef - even in the way that members come and go - as one section of the colony dies out (translate to leaves - no one dies here - not on my watch!) it is replaced by a new section and as the skeletal remains increase the size of the healthy new colony - the posts of all of those who have gone before us remain as a foundation for those to come.

Laura's has grown and evolved which is the way of living organisms in the short time that I have been here - it has always been a support site and a suicide prevention site but the friendliness grew out of the members - Laura could hope for that but it is impossible to program in, she selected very good help and they in turn helped her to assemble an amazing group of volunteer moderators in the forums and chat and then it is the members and we are all members, of Laura's and of the human race.

It is a great place to learn, comfort and be comforted, to help and be helped - it is a great pattern for the world - help your fellow man - love your fellow man (someone said that a long time ago and I think we should have listened a little closer).

So thanks to Laura for starting and maintaining this and to all of you for helping to make it special, to make it my home.

What you say resonates as true. One more thing I would add is Laura's has a healing power that I've never seen on the net before, not that there isn't other place. There is truly something magical here that changes lives. Plus it seems to draw good people in. I know it's had a big impact on me and my life will never be the same as before I found LP. You learn so much here.
