So tired with the pace of my life I could just smash something right now!

Two choices that I can see, either listen to some more of the music you posted for us, or go somewhere and smash something. Like the gym and the punching bag or the backyard and some old decrepit furniture or something.

Mince pie-Yum!

Since you are across the pond how about a Christmas pudding? I have always wanted to try one

I'll offer you some white fruit cake-MUCH lighter and better than dark fruit cake-and some good old Southern pecan pie.

What music did you bring?

John,

I would love a piece of that fuitcake. I am one of those rare people that truly like fruitcake. When I recieve one it does not get put in the fridge and forgotten, it gets eaten. :)

Here you go Janice. It's from my grandmother's recipe which has been in the family at least 75 years. It's fantastic as is but we usually make two. One for now and one we soak in rum and seal in a tin for at least a month. Mmmmm.

Hope you enjoy it!

There's bourbon ball s too but don't tell the kids-just found out the liquor doesn't evaporate. Which explains a few things at past family gatherings

Hugs

So what are you playing for us now?

It has been dull and gray here for 2 days. Is there something that would be more of an upper? I need some sun

Drizzling here too and I need to take the dog out for a walk!

Think I'll line up that bathtowel and hot chocolate on the table now for when I get back!

Feeling nostalgic today and thought I'd drop by to see the old place again.

Anybody else around?

Maybe a discussion of what your dream car is? Like one of these:

Just stopping in to do a little dusting and making sure the refrigeration units are still running.

You guys are awesome! Please do not ever lose sight of that...

OMG - I saw this - then Evan's name - I got all excited! There is one person I surely miss. He taught me what a FTM should be, with his grace, his wit, and his wonderfully droll postings. He was also the first male ever to flirt with me.

I know he is okay, Dee Jay does see him flitter through Facebook on occasion, dripping humor and mussing peoples minds.

Old and venerable TOPIC! It would be good to see this next noble generation of guys get it going again. Any hope of that?

Hi Lizzy,

Did not mean to startle you with this, I miss seeing Evan on here as well. Sure relieved to hear that he is still out there in Cyberspace.

Guess if the guys are not interested in hanging out here any longer, we could decorate it up a bit.

Huggs,

Opal

Wow, that dust really was knee-deep! I've opened a few vents and got the air conditioning running again. Thanks for the dusting! Time to restock I think! :D

Hi All

Matty I didn't see you there when I dropped in awhile back. Didn't think to look behind the bar. You must have been .......uh.......asleep.

Thanks for spiffing the place up girls.

I can still smell Evan's cigars in here. Maybe one day we'll find him sitting at the table over there again.

Meanwhile dance on Matty. I'll just sit here and relax a bit. It's been a troubling time lately and I just want to be mellow.

Hey guys-this place has gotten all musty. I'm opening the bar for the day so come on in.

There was once a mythic FTM mod who wanders in for awhile and goes his way-I'd like to raise a glass to him and say: You are missed Evan and I hope to find you sitting here again one day with a cigar in one hand and a fine brew in the other.

Now guys lets liven it up. Talk about your stuff. That sound system you gotta have. A hot car you lust after. Or the driver? Keep it PG 13 but there is nothing wrong with a little lust in here. :D

Someone pick a sound -what band do you want?

I want to party for awhile.

And here we can all dance Gabe. So pick a good one.

Yeah...especially since the whole band is male lol

They're an awesome band though...their songs are really fun, clever and upbeat...yet they cover serious subjects like depression and stuff...without the songs being depressing.

umm...some of my favourites...

What a good boy (I actually quite relate that to being trans right now even though it isn't about that)

It's been touched on in another thread, the perception that the folks who scream loudest in favor of free speech are also the loudest in wanting to stifle the freedom of people not like themselves.

I wonder if the LGBTQI+ umbrella should be split? Create separate entities for LGB and TQI+ folk?    I have no doubt that some cis het people probably think that sexuality and gender identity are the same thing, for whatever the reason, not necessarily willful ignorance. It would be natural for such people to observe that both LGB and T folk are under the same umbrella, so they must be the same, right?   Just as (and I know I'm making some pretty big assumptions in this post) some cis gay folk would think that the LBGTQI+ umbrella is pie - give trans people a slice, and somehow, they will miss out. Just like cis het folk might also think that their lives are somehow being diminished by allowing trans people to have basic human rights.

Suppressing your emotions because you’re afraid of them can be bad for your physical and mental health. Here’s what to do instead. When a toddler feels a “big” emotion, like anger or sadness, they tend to have a big tantrum on the floor. And these tantrums can be a lot to observe, full of thrashing, screaming, and tears. But a child reacts like this because the emotion they’re feeling is uncomfortable, maybe even painful.   Of course, as adults, we feel emotions too, and those feelings can be just as overwhelming, uncomfortable, or even painful as they were when we were children, even if we don’t let ourselves react in such a big way. But, sometimes, in our attempts to not give in to our emotions, we go too far: we run from them or suppress them — even if that harms us in the long run. Although there are many reasons we might suppress our emotions, one of them is that we are afraid of our emotions. Fear of emotions is called “animotophobia. It is not an official term in the DSM-5-TR. Still, fearing your emotions can have a significant impact on your well-being.

@KaitSo glad you are here. It's never too late to talk to your doctor. bI was 68 before I stopped lying to myself and talked to my doctor. He or she might be able to help. It may be easier to find an endocrinologist you specializes or a health care group who specializes. You might also seek out a therapist who specializes to help with HRT resources. Psychology Today can help find therapists who specialize. Glad you are here. WELCOME.

Good morning, everyone!   Coffee is flowing so my brain is beginning to function.    We've been busy caring for aging family members and trying to get the house open now that the weather is getting warmer. I've been working on getting the pool open and cleaned. It's almost ready for salt and starting up the heater. We may be swimming by next week.   But, it's raining here today so I guess I'll be stuck working inside.   Have a wonderful and safe, day!!

I had that same outcome from my first colonoscopy years ago. It just triggered more frequent colonoscopies for a period of time. Hopefully, that will be the same plan for you.

Biopsies came back mostly clear except one, one polyp came back with abnormal cell growth (pre-cancerous). It was completely removed during the colonoscopy so I don't know yet if further action needs to be taken.
