<<isn't sure he buys that. but ok

here's the thing, you guys wanted to hear whatever it was but didn't consider some stuff:

a) nothing I would have said would have the ability to change or define you. It could be entertaining. But really that's it. It could infer some stuff about one person's opinion, but really the only person's opinion that should move you should be your own. That being said I actually was surprised that all three of you wanted to know

b ) that I might not tell you because of what I worried about with the wording. That at least one of you (whichever) might think it a "ranking ". AND in doing that you actually would create a whole bunch of doubts that NONE of you should have . Age doesn't mean "better". Eventually everybody reaches through the same ages. Nooooobody wanted to be "the youngest" even though in real life the person who is "the eldest" has to shoulder a little (lot) more accountability for what goes on while typically getting the least "attention". The eldest also has to "go first". -Never having an easier path because someone else left a clearer way. There would have been benefits inherent in being farther down the age line in those regards.

c) (I hinted at this one when I said "of who's here?") No matter what order I would have come up with , it didn't take into account EVERY ftm on the board. Even the person I could've said was oldest may have been FAR down the line if someone not present were. Likewise, the "youngest" may have been "older" to some one (or several someones) not present.

.....

:huh::mellow:

I guess you could say it's almost like an insecurity on some levels. Maybe it's to do with the fact that for example i'm 20 but I look about 12 and this REALLY REALLY TRULY causes me DISTRESS. I know people say you should be glad you look young, but I hate the way it means people treat me automatically like I'm a child, or like some severely mentally disabled person when out in my wheelchair. I just find it interesting due to this how old people think I seem when they actually get to KNOW me. Because I spend pretty much all my life being treated like I'm some person without any ability to even speak for himself. This is a big issue for me. I admit it.

For me it wasn't a 'ranking' as such but wondering what you thought.

Plus I just generally think it's an interesting thought that our 'souls' are older or younger. I think it's just general curiosity that ANYONE would want to know. If the conversation is to arise.

Plus I don't think we were asking so that you could define us. I generally think for me at least anyway it's just general curiosity as well as MAYBE some insecurities on some level.

And Jessica Alba is here:

I don't think my opinion really counts but I don't think that you look 12. You look older :)

Thanks.

Maybe 12 is an exaggeration :P But yea

It don't help that i'm in a wheelchair or that i'm using a stick to help me walk. Because when I then say i'm Matt and that i'm 20 years old, people look at this person who looks younger than 20 years, voice hasn't dropped yet and a person in a wheelchair. As soon as this happens...they ASSUME I'm unable to develop fully and therefore treat me like I'm mentally retarded. It's really rather frustrating!

/end rant

And R.J......

Who is that so I can google her later?

I mean search her on her google, but I also like the way it sounds when people say they'll google someone. Well it sounds.....kinda like it COULD be dirty in my mind...Anyway.....

I mean it when I say that you don't look that young

People are just stupid. Don't let them get to you. If they treat you like that say you got it. That you can handle it. Stick up for yourself :) I KNOW you can do it :)

I like to Google people  I even Google myself... And when something pops up I don't feel so bad anymore because I am at least noticed somewhere xD

Jessica is not just "HOT", Jessica is a documented stimuli for the onset of puberty, spontaneous masterbation, and adulterous thoughts in male identified people LOL.

I'm not one thats enamoured with leather on women. (thinks about that statement......) Maybe against them...but not on them. Anyway you may be right about the "get a girl" thing lvmyftm but I'm afraid to tell her what with that surprised look on her face and all. :P

Actually, my object d'oglement most recently (2 days ago so her times kinda up) is coco. Yep, "that" one so you know there's not a lot of photos of her you can post here lol.

Realtime, flesh and blood girls and in a longterm sense (if that was what you meant)? I can be friends but don't want anybody in a "serious" sense. I want to be ready for it but......

I dunno if he meant that, or he can only think about them b/c of dysphoria issues  that's the problem I often have lol...

The second one might look more like the type you guys were talkin about; the rocker thing. And yes, there's an uncropped version if you like her Matt lol.

I think she was "before you guys time" a little too much , but Leah Remini was Jessica Alba (the type) before Jessica Alba was Jessica Alba.

note to guys comin in late, no underwear shots, you might be able to pull off a one piece swimsuit but swimwear that actually is two rubberbands and an eyepatch? no lol. Use judgement when choosing your contributions.

Well its official. You know you're a guy when you dream about Micheal Jordan and its all about sports :lol::lol::lol:

I just woke up from this dream and in it I went to a basketball expo ( ) It was titled "Grand Masters of the Slam Dunk" (you can laugh, go on). "All time greats" who mastered it were there (like I'd know who that was, I don't follow basketball) Larry Bird was in it and slipped coming down off his jumpshot ( don't know anything about Larry Byrd, his jumpshot , or if he ever could slam dunk put my subcon put him in the dream  ) . At the end, they had Micheal Jordan come up and asked for a volunteer from the audience about golf (it was a dream, switches from basketball to golf.....) and he demo'd and gave me all these tips about my Tee off (which is actually pretty good, but its MJ, who the heck is gonna tell him "that's alright" and pass it up). He used a 3 wood but for some reason we called it an 8 iron in the dream. We talked and hung around a liiiittle bit after the show was over but he quickly tired of hanging out with "nobody" and I quickly got sort of "wierded" out overly buddying around with some guy so we ditched each other until eventually we went separate ways. Last I saw him he was returning the rented jewelry they'd had him wear for the TV show (looking rather distastfully at it too) with the TV folks and walked off to be taken back to his hotel. No he didn't acknowledge me if he saw me, he was Michael Jordan after all. (which bummed me out some naturally but I reminded myself that we weren't really friends and hell it wasn't like I didn't dump him too).

Anyhow. That was my dream. Didn't know where to put it and figured this was as good as any.

Around here, a culturally-appropriate gender-neutral form of address is either "dear" or "hun".  It tends to be mostly women who use those, though I did have a man address me as "dear" in a store today.    It could be startling for a come-ffrom-away to hear themselves being addressed that way, but, locally, it is considered a friendly, not particularly creepy, gender-neutral way to address someone.

Welcome, Amanda!! You'll find many of us here who found ourselves late in life - it was at 68 for me. Each of us is unique but we also have similarities and can help each other   I understand the urge to move quickly, but remember that your wife also has to adjust as you transition. That doesn't mean you have to move slowly, just give both of you time to process the changes and the impacts.   Many of us have also benefitted greatly from working with a gender therapist. For me, it was literally life-saving. Just a thought you might want to consider. Mine is done completely on-line.   Again, welcome. Jump in where you feel comfortable.

Change. I am so -censored- tired of change, and what I've just started in the last month with identifying and working through all of my . . . stuff . . . around gender dysphoria represents a level of change I dread and am terrified of.   2005 to 2019 feel like a pretty stable time period for me. Not a whole lot of change happened within me. I met someone, got married, had three kids with them. Struggled like hell with anxiety and depression but it was . . . ok. And then my spouse died (unexpectedly, brief bout with flu and then gone) and the five years since have been an unrelenting stream of change. I cannot think of a single way in which I, the person writing this from a library table in 2024, am in any way the same person who sat in an ICU room with my dying spouse 5 years ago. I move different, speak different, dress different, think different, have different goals, joys, and ambitions. And they are all **good.** but I am tired of the relentless pace of change and as much as I want and need to figure out my dysphoria and what will relieve the symptoms (am I "just" gender fluid, am I trans masc? no -censored- clue at the moment) I dread it at the same time. I just want to take a five year nap and be done with it.

I'm Amanda, and after 57 years of pretending to be a male crossdresser, I've recently admitted to myself that I'm a woman. It's pretty wild. I don't think that I've ever had a thought that was as clearly true and right, as when I first allowed myself to wonder, "wait, am I actually trans?"   The hilarious part is that I owe that insight to my urologist, and a minor problem with a pesky body part that genetic women don't come equipped with (no, not that one). I'll spare you the details, but the end result was him talking about a potential medication that has some side effects, notably a 1% chance of causing men to grow breasts. The first thought that bubbled up from the recesses of my mind was, "wow, that would be awesome!"   <<blink>><<blink>> Sorry, what was that again?   That led down a rabbit hole, and a long, honest conversation with myself, followed by a long, honest conversation with my wife. We both needed a couple of weeks, and a bit of crying and yelling, to settle in to this new reality. Her biggest issue? Several years ago, she asked me if I was trans, and I said, "no". That was a lie. And honestly, looking back over my life, a pretty stupid one.   I'm really early in the transition process - I have my first consultation with my doctor next week - but I'm already out to friends and family. I'm struggling with the "do everything now, now now!" demon, because I know that this is not a thing that just happens. It will be happening from now on, and trying to rush won't accomplish anything useful. Still, the struggle is real . I'm being happy with minor victories - my Alexa devices now say, "Good morning, Amanda", and I smile each and every time. My family and friends are being very supportive, after the initial shock wore off.   I'm going to need a lot of help though, which is another new thing for me. Being able to ask for help, that is. I'm looking forward to chatting with some of you who have been at this longer, and also those of you who are as new at this as I am. It's wild, and intoxicating, and terrifying... and I'm looking forward to every second of it.   Amanda Joy

Rain here. I went to Asheville yesterday, and stayed later to visit some before going down the mountain.  Down here there were a lot of trees down in the northern part of the county.  The power had gone off at the house, but was back by the time I got home (21:00).  There was a thunderstorm during the night.

I used to get ma'am'ed during my 45 years of boy-mode and it drove me nuts.    Now that I have accepted girl-mode I find it quite pleasant.    Either way, being miss gendered is quite disturbing. I upon a rare occasion might get sir'ed by strangers and it's quite annoying.

Good morning Ash,    Welcome to TransPulseForums, I have a young neighbor who plays several brass instruments who lives behind my house. He is always practicing and I could listen to them for hours, well I guess I have listened to them for hours, and my favorite is when they play the low tones on the French Horn.    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning everyone,    I had my first cup of coffee this morning with my wife, my second was a 20oz travel mug on the way to the airport. Once clearing TSA, I bought another 20oz to pass the time at the boarding gate. I’m flying Indy to Baltimore, then driving to Wilmington, DE for my last teaching engagement at the DE State Fire School.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

In my opinion, the gender neutral version of sir or ma'am is the omission of such honorifics.   "Excuse me, sir" becomes simply, "Excuse me", or better yet, "Excuse me, please."   "Yes, ma'am" becomes "Yes", or depending on the context, "Yes, it would be my pleasure" or "Yes, that is correct."   Else, to replace it with a commonly known neutral term such as friend, or credentialed or action-role-oriented term depending on the situation such as teacher, doctor, driver, or server.   And learn names when you can. It's a little known fact that MOST people are bad with names. So if you've ever told someone, "I'm bad with names", you're simply affirming you're typical in that way. A name, just like any other factoid, requires effort to commit to memory. And there are strategies which help.

almost 45 min later. Still in self pity mode. I cannot figure out my wife. I shared a loving post on Facebook to my wife. Today she posts, you are my prayer. Yet, last week she puts up a post diragitory towards trans people. Does she not relate to me being trans?   ???
