:lol: got my ears pierced a couple weeks ago!!

but they are both infected now

I am not too concerned, they are draining

I am keeping them dry

and washing them with antibacterial soap

I am not soaking them in salt water

as when I checked it out I was told to not use iodized salt

only noniodized sea salt

and I do not have any

other than that things are going mostly well

having a tangible sign of progress

even small ones like pierced ears is a real big encouragement for me

I love my long hair

still hate my 5 o'clock shadow

and I am going to get my cholesterol checked next month to see if it is low enough yet for me to start hrt

I still am not sure how I will pay for hrt though

but what does that matter

I got my ears pierced

any suggestions for my ears?

Great to hear you got em pierced - terrible about the infections - ouch! That's still on my to-do list...

What's up with sea salt suddenly? It can't be that much different than table salt - it's al NaCl any way you look at it. Anyway, I'd use it until you get sea salt. Fred Meyer has inexpensive sea salt when you do get there...

Congrats on the ear piercing, hon. I want to do mine soon too. I am sorry to hear about the infection, but hopefully the antibiotics will do

their thing quickly. May I ask if you had them pierced with a needle or a gun? I heard the gun was bad.

I agree with Donn Jean on the drugs. They really shouldn't be expensive at all. For Finesteride and estradiol patches, I pay about $15 a month.

Wish everything (like laser hair treatments) was that easy.

I had two sets of piercings, both by gun, as I like to wear diamond chip, or simple gold studs with

whatever ear rings suits my mood or wardrobe of the day, and had no trouble at all.

Just used the alcohol based swab that came with the deal.

As for the cholesterol, it should come down just fine....mine did

If you can, buy a can of H2Ocean. It's a saline spray made for piercings. Spray it on twice and day and, whatever you do, do not touch them (I know, easier said than done, right?).

As far as hrt, I pay $24 a month for my three meds. I hope your cholesterol gets where you need it to be.
