Depression And Bipolar While On Hrm

just as the title says... this little post is a semi question about people of the transgender community who have depression issues and bi-polar symptoms while on hrm. She used to be on anti-depresants a few years before starting her hrm therepy. She has the signs of depression coming up again due to finding a place to live and finding a job. A side note their might be a possibility that she is bi-polar due to her mother being bi-polar and in some cases it can be hereditary. My question to anyone, is if you are currently on hrm and you go to a doctor for anti-depression medication and possible bi-polar type problms will they take your hrm away even if it is the same doctor who prescribed the hrm for the individual... i would like comments from anyone, and everyone if possible.

P.S.: I am not gone.. i still linger in the shadows waiting for the day letus rules the world and cucumbers roll down he hills

I'm familiar with the term HRT, but not HRM...

Can you explain that so I can better understand the question?

What my girlie, Gwenie, is trying to ask is... If your doctor finds out that you are bi-polar or severely depressed, would they take away your hormones? The question is actualy about me... There is a bit of a story behind it, but that is for another time. I have been having extreme difficulty lately with life, basicaly, and I am wondering if confessing my inner-pain will result in the loss of my hormones. Hormones are very important to me; I am sure many of you can relate. u.u

I would like to have alot of nswers to the question please.. his is realy making her scared not knowing if things will get worse if shes taken off hrt if shes diagnosed with depression and/or bi-polar

I highly doubt it. I am autistic and take Prozac and Klonopin for severe anxiety... one's an anti-depressant and the other's a narcotic panic pill. I'm on HRT, the same doctors that prescribed my psych meds also prescribed my hormones. Think of it this way... anti-depressants work the same in the brain whether it be a male (testosterone-filled) brain, or a female (estrogen-filled) one.
